LONDON—If you can’t be at home this Thanksgiving Day，stuffing（填满）your face with turkey and then collapsing onto the sofa in front of football，the next best place to be in the world might be Britain.
Everyone’s at work，of course，because Thanksgiving is only an American holiday，so that is strange for a start. But the British，perhaps more than any other nationality，have done their best to embrace Thanksgiving，at least as a marketing opportunity. Dozens of restaurants are offering Thanksgiving feasts. Turkey and pumpkin farmers report big rises in sales. Big—breasted turkeys seem to be everywhere.
Part of that is because more and more Americans are living in Britain. The latest report shows
