Aussies love kangaroos
What is the most famous animal in Australia? It’s the kangaroo! And Australians love them very much.
We even have a boxing kangaroo flag. It is a green flag, and there is a picture of a golden yellow kangaroo with red boxing gloves on it. You can see the flag whenever Australia takes part in an international sporting game.
Things about kangaroos easily become very popular. A few months ago, pictures of a male kangaroo taking care of its dying male became popular in Australia. In the picture, the male kangaroo holds the head of the dying female up to her baby kangaroo. Also, a video of two kangaroos fighting was a big hit in 2014. In the video, two huge animals were moving forearms, jumping around and kicking at each other with their big legs.
Although we love kangaroos, Australians eat kangaroo meat sometimes. You can buy kangaroo meat in some supermarkets. But it is not common.
