重难点精讲

As he likes the sounds of nature, Tan uses them a lot in his music.

句中as是连词,意思是“因为、由于”。

My music is to dream without boundaries.

句中的to dream without boundaries是不定式作表语的用法。一般来说,不定式前面的to不能省略,但当主语部分含有动词do时,to需省略。

题一:翻译:

1.因为你不是我,所以你不知道我的感受。

2.我的工作就是教英语。

3.他想做的事就是去河里游泳。

The opera lasted for one and a half hours.

last是动词,意思是“持续、延续”。

I did make some wonderful pictures later.

助动词do可用于肯定句中加强语气,其后要接动词原形。

题二:翻译:

1.这种闷热的天气将会持续一段时间。

2.我真的相信你。

3.他真的很想你。

Each time a medal was presented to a winner at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the award music was played.

句中present是“呈递、呈献、提交”的意思。

一般过去时的被动语态的结构:主语be动词过去分词。

题三:翻译:

1.会议上提出了300篇论文。

2.工人们在1999年修建了这座桥。

3.John昨天被警察抓住了。

be crazy about sth./sb. 为……疯狂

be crazy about doi ng sth. 热衷于做某事

be fond of sth. 喜欢做某事

be into sth/sb. 喜欢……

题四:翻译:

1.我疯狂地喜欢打电脑游戏。

2.我已经为你疯狂了。

语法讲解

because, since和as引导的原因状语从句。

原因状语从句说明主句动作发生或进行的原因,一般由because, since, as等引导。

because语气较强,用来说明人所不知的原因,回答why提出的问题。

since和as的用法大体相同,译为“由于、因为”。表示附带说明的双方已知的原因。since和as 引导的从句一般放在句首。

题五:翻译:

1.他因为忙,所以没来。

2.因为我今天有一天假,所以就给你写信。

3.既然在下雨,你最好待在家里。

4.因为你口语不好,所以你就应该多加练习。

5.我错过了班车就是因为起晚了。

Henry was an office worker in a big city. He worked very hard and enjoyed traveling in his holidays. He usually went to the seaside, but one year he saw an advertisement in a newspaper. “Enjoy country life. Spend a few weeks at West Hill Farm. Good food, Fresh air, Horse riding, Walking, Fishing, Cheap and I nteresting.”

“This sounds a good idea,” he thought. “I’ll spend a month at West Hill Farm. I think I can enjoy horse riding, walking and fishing. They’ll make a change from sitting by the seaside and swimming.” He wrote to the farmer. In the letter he said that he would like to spend all of July there. Then on the first of July, he left for West Hill Farm. But four days later, he returned home.

“What was wrong with West Hill Farm?” his best friend, Ed, asked him. “Didn’t you enjoy country life?”

“Country life was very good,” Henry said. “But there was another problem.”

“Oh. What?”

“Well,” he said, “the first day I was there a

sheep died, and we had roast mutton for dinner.” “What’s wrong with that?” Ed asked.

“Fresh

meat is the best.”

“I know, but on the second day a cow died, and we had roast beef for dinner.”

“Lucky you”

“You don’t understand,” Henry said. “On the third day a pig died and we had roast pork for d inner.”

“A diffe rent meat every day,” Ed said loudly, “and you are plaining”
