Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon, esteemed delegates, and fellow young leaders of today and tomorrow. My name is [Your Name], and I am honored to stand before you today as a representative of [Your Country/Region]. It is a privilege to be part of this prestigious gathering, where young minds from across the globe come together to discuss and address the pressing issues facing our world.Today, I would like to talk about something that unites us all—our planet Earth. We are all inhabitants of this beautiful blue planet, and it is our responsibility to ensure that it remains a sustainable and livable home for future generations. The theme of this conference, "United We Stand," is not just a catchy phrase; it is a call to action for us to work together, share our ideas, and take meaningful steps towards a sustainable future.Firstly, let us acknowledge the current state of our planet. The Earth is facing numerous challenges, including climate change, pollution, deforestation, and biodiversity loss. These issues are not just environmental problems; they are human problems. They affect us all, regardless of our nationality, race, or socio-economic status.Climate change is perhaps the most urgent issue of our time. The increasing frequency and severity of natural disasters, such as hurricanes, floods, and droughts, are a testament to the impact of global warming. It is crucial that we take immediate action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to renewable energy sources. As young people, we can play a significant role in this effort by advocating for sustainable practices in our schools, communities, and homes.Pollution is another critical issue that we must address. The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the soil we cultivate are all contaminated by human activities. We must promote the use of clean technologies, reduce plastic waste, and protect our natural resources.By doing so, we can create a healthier environment for ourselves and future generations.Deforestation is a significant threat to our planet's biodiversity and climate stability. The loss of forests contributes to the greenhouse effect and reduces the planet's ability to absorb carbon dioxide. We must fight against illegal logging and promote sustainable forestry practices. Planting trees and supporting reforestation projects can help restore our forests and protect the species that call them home.Biodiversity loss is a silent crisis that is threatening the delicate balance of our ecosystems. The loss of species can disrupt food chains, reduce ecosystem resilience, and affect our own survival. We mustprotect endangered species, preserve natural habitats, and promote sustainable land use practices. Now, let us talk about what we can do to make a difference. As young leaders, we have a unique opportunity to inspire and influence others. Here are some steps we can take:1. Education and Awareness: We must educate ourselves and others about the environmental issues affecting our planet. By spreading awareness, we can encourage positive change in our communities.2. Advocacy: We can advocate for policies and practices that promote sustainability. This may involve writing to our local representatives, participating in protests, or organizing events to raise awareness.3. Action: We can take concrete actions in our daily lives. This includes reducing our carbon footprint, recycling, composting, and choosing sustainable products.4. Innovation: We can innovate and develop new technologies andsolutions to address environmental challenges. Young people have a natural curiosity and creativity that can lead to groundbreaking ideas.5. Collaboration: We must work together with people from all walks of life. By joining forces, we can amplify our impact and create a more sustainable world.Ladies and gentlemen, the future is in our hands. We are the generation that will inherit the Earth, and it is our responsibility to protect it. United we stand, divided we fall. Let us come together, share our knowledge, and take action to create a sustainable future for all.In conclusion, I urge each and every one of us to be the change we wish to see in the world. Let us not be daunted by the challenges ahead, but instead be inspired by the possibilities. By working together, we can make a real difference. Let us be the generation that leaves a positive legacy for future generations.Thank you for your attention, and let us unite in our quest for a sustainable future.[Your Name][Your Country/Region][Date]第2篇Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening, esteemed delegates, and fellow young leaders of today. It is with great honor and a sense of responsibility that I stand before you today as a representative of the young generation. We are the future architects of our world, and it is our duty to voice our concerns, share our dreams, and take action towards a sustainable and peaceful future.Firstly, let me extend my heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of this esteemed event for providing us with this platform to come together, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. It is through these gatherings that we can break down the barriers of language, culture, and nationality, and understand that at the core of it all, we are all united by the common desire for a better world.Today, I would like to talk about a topic that is close to my heart: unity in diversity. As young individuals growing up in an increasinglyinterconnected world, we understand that diversity is not just a buzzword, but a fundamental aspect of our existence. We are a tapestry of different cultures, languages, and beliefs, and it is this diversity that makes our world so vibrant and rich. However, despite the beauty of diversity, we also face challenges. Conflicts arise due to misunderstandings, discrimination, and the fear of the unknown. It is our responsibility to address these issues and work towards a world where every individual is valued and respected, regardless of their background. To begin with, education plays a crucial role in fostering unity in diversity. By promoting cultural exchange and understanding, we can bridge the gaps between different communities. As students, we should take an active role in learning about other cultures, languages, and histories. This knowledge will not only broaden our perspectives but also help us to empathize with others and break down stereotypes.Furthermore, we need to promote tolerance and inclusivity in our schools and communities. Bullying and discrimination have no place in a world that thrives on diversity. We must stand up against any form of prejudice and work together to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. By doing so, we can foster a sense of belonging and unity among our peers. In addition to education and inclusivity, environmental sustainability is another key aspect of our vision for a better future. As young leaders, we must take action to protect our planet for generations to come. This means reducing our carbon footprint, conserving natural resources, and promoting renewable energy sources. We should also advocate for sustainable practices in our schools and communities, such as recycling, composting, and planting trees. Moreover, we need to address the economic disparities that exist within our world. Poverty and inequality are major barriers to achieving a sustainable and peaceful future. We should work together to create opportunities for those in need, whether through educational programs, microfinance initiatives, or international aid. By lifting others up, we can create a more balanced and equitable world. In order to achieve our vision of unity in diversity, we must also embrace technology and innovation. The digital age has connected us like never before, allowing us to share ideas, collaborate, and make a difference on a global scale. As young innovators, we should harness the power of technology to address pressing issues, such as climate change, health crises, and social injustices. However, technology alone cannot solve our problems. We must also work together to promote peace and conflict resolution. Dialogue and cooperation are essential tools in our quest for a sustainable future. We should encourage our leaders to engage in diplomatic negotiations and seek peaceful resolutions to conflicts. By doing so, we can create a world where cooperation prevails over conflict.Lastly, I would like to emphasize the importance of youth empowerment. We, the young generation, have the potential to drive change and shape the future. We should be given the opportunity to participate in decision-making processes, share our ideas, and take action on issues that affect us. By empowering us, our leaders can tap into the creativity, energy, and passion that we possess. In conclusion, our vision for a sustainable future is one of unity in diversity. We must work together to promote education, inclusivity, environmental sustainability, economic equality, technological innovation, peace, and youth empowerment. It is through these collective efforts that we can create a world where every individual is valued, every culture is respected, and every child has the opportunity to thrive. As we move forward, let us remember that we are not just dreamers, but doers. Let us take action today, for the sake of our future and the generations to come. Together, we can make a difference, and together, we can build a world where unity in diversity is not just a concept, but a reality.Thank you for your attention, and let us embark on this journey towards a sustainable and peaceful future, hand in hand, and heart to heart.[Applause]第3篇Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening, esteemed delegates, and fellow young leaders of the world. It is with great honor and immense excitement that I stand before you today to share my thoughts on a topic that is notonly crucial to our future but also to the survival of our planet –building a peaceful and sustainable world.Firstly, let me extend my warmest welcome to all of you. This is a gathering of young minds, each with unique perspectives and talents, and together, we have the power to create a ripple effect that can changethe world for the better. As we all know, the world we live in today is facing numerous challenges. Climate change, poverty, inequality, and conflicts are just a few of the issues that threaten our existence and the well-being of our planet. However, amidst these challenges, there is also hope. And that hope lies in the hands of young leaders like us.Today, I would like to talk about three key areas where we, as young leaders, can make a significant impact: education, environmental sustainability, and peacebuilding.1. Education: The Foundation for a Sustainable FutureEducation is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world, as Nelson Mandela once said. As young leaders, we have the responsibility to advocate for quality education for all children, regardless of their background or circumstances. In many parts of the world, children are denied the right to education due to poverty, discrimination, and conflict. This not only hinderstheir personal development but also perpetuates the cycle of poverty andinequality. We must work together to ensure that every child has access to a quality education that empowers them to become active and informed citizens. To achieve this, we can:- Support initiatives that provide scholarships and educational resources to underprivileged children.- Raise awareness about the importance of education through social media and community events.- Advocate for policies that prioritize education in our respective countries and globally.2. Environmental Sustainability: Protecting Our HomeThe Earth is our home, and it is our responsibility to take care of it. Climate change is a pressing issue that affects us all, and it is up to us, the young leaders, to take action and inspire others to do the same.We can start by:- Promoting sustainable practices in our schools and communities, such as recycling, reducing energy consumption, and using eco-friendly products.- Encouraging the adoption of renewable energy sources and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.- Supporting conservation efforts and raising awareness about the importance of biodiversity.3. Peacebuilding: The Path to a Harmonious WorldPeace is not just the absence of conflict; it is the presence of harmony and understanding among people. As young leaders, we have the power to bridge divides and foster a culture of peace. To promote peace, we can:- Engage in dialogue and exchange ideas with people from different cultures and backgrounds.- Organize events that promote understanding and tolerance, such as cultural festivals and peace camps.- Advocate for policies that promote social justice and equality, and work towards resolving conflicts through peaceful means. In conclusion, the task of building a peaceful and sustainable world is immense, but it is not impossible. We, as young leaders, have the potential to be the change-makers of our time. By focusing on education, environmental sustainability, and peacebuilding, we can create abrighter future for ourselves and for generations to come.Let us not be daunted by the challenges ahead. Instead, let us embrace them as opportunities to grow, learn, and make a difference. Together, we can turn our dreams into reality and build a world where every child has the chance to thrive, where our planet is protected, and where peace prevails.Thank you for your attention, and let us work together to make our world a better place.God bless us all.[Applause]。
Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed colleagues, and distinguished guests,It is indeed an honor for me to be here today to address the opening of the United Nations General Assembly. I stand before all of you as the Secretary-General of this esteemed organization, and I would like to take this opportunity to extend my warmest welcome to each and every one of you.We meet today at a time of unprecedented global challenges. Our world is facing some of the most difficult and complex issues we have ever encountered. From the COVID-19 pandemic to climate change, from poverty to gender inequality, from armed conflicts to humanitarian crises, we are confronted with a range of daunting issues that threaten our very existence. But this is also a moment of great opportunity. It is a time when we can come together as a global community to address these challenges head-on. Let us not be disheartened by the scale of the problems we face. Instead, let us beinspired by the opportunities to work together towards a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world. As we embark on this journey with renewed vigor, let us remember the principles that guide us as a community of nations. Let us remember that the United Nations was foundedon the principles of peace, human rights, and dignity for all. Let us remember our shared commitment to leave no one behind and to build a world that is equitable and just.Today, I stand before you to issue a call to action. Acall to action for each and every one of us, for governments and civil society alike. We must all do our part to build a world that is more prosperous, more inclusive, and more sustainable. To achieve this, we must work together to address theroot causes of the challenges we face. We must tackle poverty, inequality, and social injustice head-on. We must invest in education, healthcare, and social protection to lift peopleout of poverty and create a more equitable and just society. But we must also work together to address the urgentglobal challenges that threaten our very existence. We musttackle climate change and protect the environment for future generations. We must ensure access to clean water and sanitation. We must promote gender equality and empower women and girls around the world.Above all, we must work towards achieving peace. We must seek to resolve conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy, and we must support efforts to build more resilient societiesthat can withstand the shocks of conflict and crisis. This is not an easy task, but it is one that we must undertake if we are to build a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world.Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed colleagues, and distinguished guests, let us remember that we are all in this together. Let us take this moment to reaffirm our shared commitment to building a better world. Let us work together with renewed determination and vigor to leave behind a world that is more peaceful, more just, and more sustainable for future generations.Thank you.。

下面是她当年发言稿的中文对照本:英文: “Hello, I am Severn Suzuki speaking for E.C.O - the Environmental Children‟s Organization. We are a group of 12 and 13 year-olds trying to make a difference, Vanessa Suttie, Morgan Geisler, Michelle Quigg and me. We‟ve raised all the money to come here ourselves, to come 5,000 miles to tell you adults you must change your ways. Coming up here today, I have no hidden agenda. I am fighting for my future. Losing my future is not like losing an election, or a few points on the stock market.”
“I am here to speak for all generations to come. I am here to speak on behalf of the starving children around the world whose cries go unheard. I am here to speak for the countless animals dying across this planet, because they have nowhere left to go. I am afraid to go out in the sun now, because of the holes in our ozone. I am afraid to breathe the air, because I don‟t know what chemicals are in it. I used to go fishing in Vancouver, my home, with my Dad until, just a few years ago, we found a fish full of cancers. And now we hear of animals and plants going extinct every day, vanishing forever. In my life, I have dreamt of seeing the great herds of wild animals, jungles and rainforests full of birds and butterflies, but now I wonder if they will even exist for my children to see.”
“Did you have to worry of these things when you were my age? All this is happening before our eyes and yet we act as if we have all the time we want and all the solutions. I‟m only a child and I don‟t have all the solutions, but I want you to realize, neither do you. You don‟t know how to fix the holes in our ozone layer. You don‟t know how to bring the salmon back up a dead stream. You don‟t know how to bring back an animal now extinct. And you can‟t bring back the forest that once grew where there is now a desert. If you don‟t know how to fix it, please stop breaking it.” “Here you may be delegates of your governments, business people, organizers, reporters or politicians. But, really, you‟re mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles and all of you are someone‟s child. I‟m only a child, yet I know we are all part of a family, 5 billion strong, in fact 30 million species strong. And borders and governments will never change that. I‟m only a child, yet I know we are all in this together and should act as one single world towards one single goal.”
“In my anger, I am not blind and in my fear I am not afraid of telling the world how I feel. In my country we make so much waste, we buy and throw away, buy and throw away, buy and throw away and yet Northern countries will not share with the needy. Even when we have more than enough we are afraid to share, we are afraid to let go of some of our wealth. In Canada , we live the privileged life. We‟ve plenty of food, water and shelter. We have watches, bicycles, computers and television sets. The list could go on for 2 days. Two days ago here in Brazil , we were shocked when we spent time with some children living on the streets. This is what one child told us, „I wish I was rich and if I were, I would give all the street children food, clothes, medicines, shelter and love and affection‟. If a child on the street who has nothing is willing to share, why are we who have everything still so greedy? I can‟t stop thinking that these are children my own age, that it makes a tremendous difference where you are born. And that I could be one of those children living in the favelas of Rio . I could be a child starving in Somalia , or a victim of war in the Middle East or a beggar in India . I am only a child, yet I know if all the money spent on war was spent on finding environmental answers ending poverty and in finding treaties, what a wonderful place this earth would be.”
“At school, even in kindergarten, you teach us how to behave in the world. You teach us to not to fight with others, to work things out, to respect others and to clean up our mess, not to hurt other creatures, to share, not be greedy. Then, why do you go out and do the things you tell us not to do? Do not forget why you are attending these conferences, who you are doing this for. We are your own children. You are deciding what kind of a world we are growing up in. Parents should be able to comfort their children by saying „Everything is going to be all right, it‟s not the end of the world, and we are doing the best we can‟. But I don‟t think you can say that to us anymore. Are we even on your list of priorities? My dad always says, „You are what you do, not what you say‟. Well, what you do makes me cry at night. You grown-ups say you love us. But I challenge you, please, make your actions reflect your words. Thank you.”
