英文演讲稿Whatwecantaffordtolose第一篇：英文演讲稿 What we cant afford to loseWhat we can’t afford to lose_____the bravery to fight against fearBY Claire Huang Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.It’s a great honor for me to stand here.I want to start my speech with the story of a little boy.Many years ago, this is how all boring stories begin, a little boy named Bruce Wayne fell into a deep ,abandoned well where he encountered numerous ugly bats which are as black as the darkest night he’d ever seen.Bats had become the greatest fear in his mind especially after his loving parents were murdered on another horrible night.Yes, fear.This is what I attempt to talk about today.The first time I saw the questionwhat we can’t afford to lose , I heard a voice inside of me answering: what we can’t afford to lose is the bravery to fight against fear, because fears are rooted in every one’s life, even for an innocent boy.In my speech, I’m going to emph asize three points, explaining specifically what the bravery to fight against fear is.Having the bravery to fight against fear firstly means we should embrace fears rather than evade them.In a film called front of the class, there is a man who had Tourette's disorder-a congenital disease and he made strange noises uncontrollably because of the disease.It caused so many disappointments and frustrations on his way to become a teacher.He was so scared, scared to be mocked, scaredto fail again, scared by the disease itself, until one day his stepmother told him: Honey, you are struggling so hard to conquer it, why you don’t just befriend it? 亚里士多德修辞学三要素在政治演讲中的应用——以伊万卡•特朗普助选演讲为例王梦雅（西安外国语大学 陕西 西安 710000）摘要：在社会领域，演讲是一种体现话语和意识形态的政治活动。

它是政治家们树立个人形象的重要手段，属于政治建构过程的一部分。

本文以亚里士多德修辞学的三要素——信誉诉求、逻辑诉求和情感诉求为理论依据，以美国现任总统特朗普的女儿伊万卡•特朗普在其父亲竞选美国总统时所作的助选演讲为语料，分析政治演讲如何实现意识形态的有效传达而打动人心，同时探究修辞学三要素在政治演讲中的应用效果。

亚里士多德认为，能够劝服人的好文本应该具备三个要素：信誉诉求、逻辑诉求和情感诉求。

在特朗普竞选总统时，他的女儿发表了助选演讲。

虽然伊万卡本身不是政治人物，但是她以助选者的身份参与了总统竞选这一重大政治活动，目的是说服听众把选票投给父亲。

本文从亚里士多德修辞学的三个要素的角度分析伊万卡的演讲稿，试图解读她在助选演讲中的话语特点和意识形态。

一、信誉诉求信誉诉求基于讲话者的信誉度或者说是个人魅力，一般道德品质高的人信誉度高。

亚里士多德的修辞学中，可以从两个方面理解道德品质。

第一，好的道德品质会鼓动听众相信讲话者所说的话，有时人们做决定是因为受提议者的影响而不是建议本身的内容。

第二，讲话者会描述制造一种容易令人相信的特点，然后在已营造出的美好画面基础上，通过互动来让听众接受他的观点。

亚里士多德认为通过修辞的手法描述出的品德和个人的魅力品质是不一样的。
