Part I writing
With the advent of information age, the use of mobile phones has become increasingly widespread in people’s life. Quite a few people, young or old, are becoming increasingly fascinated with the use of a diversity of electronic products, especially mobile phones. Not surprisingly, you could easily find that most of us are indulged in using mobile phones to surf the Internet, check e-mails, send text messages, play online games or listen to music and watch videos almost anywhere and anytime. Despite the great convenience the mobile phones bring to us, numerous problems have also arisen as a result of the overuse of mobile phones. First of all, overusing cell phones tend to reduce face-to-face communication among people. For example, all too often at dinner tables, instead of chatting with family members or close friends, many people choose to chat with other friends online. In addition, a wealth of online information and a bewildering variety of social networking tools in mobile phones have occupied too much of our time and energy, which inevitably exerts negative impact on our academic study and work. Last but not least, keeping our eyes on the screen for a long time will affect our eyesight and health in the long run. In conclusion, science and technology should serve as an “angel”to improve our living standard and facilitate our life rather than act as a devil to affect our normal life and everyday communication. It is pointless to overuse mobiles phones in our daily life.

“Tea or coffee?” Diners are frequently asked this question. Western people may choose coffee, while Chinese may prefer tea. It is said that 5,000 years ago, an emperor in China discovered tea and used it to cure diseases. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, tea houses could be found all over the country.Tea-drinking was introduced to Japan in the sixth century, but was not introduced to Europe and America until the 17th and 18th century. Currently, tea has become one of the most popular beverages in the world. It is the national drink of China and an important part of Chinese traditional culture as well.
