Step 1.Greeting
T:Good morning, boys and girls.
S:Good morning, Ms Huang.
T:How was your vacation?
S:It was amazing/boring/Just so so.
T:What did you do at Spring Festival?

Purpose: To greet students and arouse the old knowledge.
Step2.Warming
T: We have a good friend who’s from Japan. He’s Conan.Do you know him? No
w let’s get to know every of his body parts.
Teacher teaches the words of body parts. Students read after the teacher.
Finish activity 1a.
Purpose: To prepare to learn the new knowledge.
Step3.Presentation
T: Now Conan is ill. What’s the matter with him?
And you also can ask “What’s wrong with him” and “What’s the trouble with hi
m?”
Teacher shows the pictures of illness ,then show the new words and phrases.
Students read the sentences and words/phrases after teacher.
Finish activity 1b
Purpose: To show the new sentence and words to students.
Step4. Pair work
Teacher makes a example to students to have a conversation.
Ask students to have a conversation with their partners.
Have a competition in the four groups.
Students practice with their partners. And compete with other groups.
Teacher give a step in the evaluation picture to every pair that give a show to the cl

Purpose: To practice the target language and students’ speaking skills. To arouse th

Have a guessing game with students. When a student say the right answer, teache

Students have a conversation with their group members as doctors and patients.

Purpose: To practicing the target language and the speaking skill.
Step6.Consolidation
Ask students to write the different expressions of illness on the paper.
Teacher gives a step to the group that do the best.
Purpose: To consolidate the new knowledge.
Step7.Extension
Ask students to give some pieces of advice to Conan to keep healthy.
Students expression their ideas.
Step8. Homework
Talk with your best friend about Conan’s trouble and give advice.。
