Section ⅢGrammar——同位语从句[思维导图][语法精讲]一、同位语从句的定义1.在主从复合句中,跟在一个名词后(尤其是抽象名词)对其做出进一步解释说明的从句叫同位语从句。
2.能跟同位语从句的名词一般是fact, news, idea, truth, hope, problem, information, wish, promise, answer, evidence, report, explanation, suggestion, conclusion 等抽象名词。
I was shocked at the news that our team won the game.我被我们队赢了比赛的消息震惊了。
I have no idea what he is doing now.我不知道他现在在干什么。
二、同位语从句的连接词I'm not sure about the question whether he will come.对于他来不来这个问题,我不太确定。
The fact that the transport of the goods cost too much was not discussed.运费太高这一事实没有讨论。
I have no idea when he will come back.我不知道他什么时候回来。
The question who should go abroad required consideration.谁会出国这个问题还需要考虑。
She had no idea why she thought of him suddenly.她不明白她为什么突然想到了他。
三、同位语从句应注意的几个问题1.分隔式同位语从句:有时同位语从句与其所说明的名词会被其他成分隔开,从而形成分隔式同位语从句,这样做主要是为了保持句子结构平衡,避免头重脚轻。
Word came that we would have lessons on Saturday.有消息传来,我们星期六要上课。

that通常不省略。
如:I had no idea that your parents were opposed to my visit. 我不知道你的父母反对我来访。
2. 同位语从句有时和前面的名词分开。
如:The news got about that he had won a car in the lottery.消息传开说他彩票中奖得了一辆汽车。
3. 同位语从句也可由how, what, whether等连接词引导。
如:He had no idea what a remarkable woman Maggie is. 他不知道玛吉是个多么出色的女人。
There is some doubt whether John will come on time. 对约翰是否会准时到有一些怀疑。
4. 注意同位语从句与定语的从句的区别。
如:The news that he told me yesterday is true. (定语从句)The news that our team has won is true. (同位语从句)在以上两句中,名词都是the news,其后的系表结构也都是is true,但that 所引导的从句却截然不同。
很明显,在第一句中,从句that he told me对the news 起修饰限定作用,且that在从句中充当宾语,所以这个从句是定语从句;而第二句则不然,that our team has won起解释说明the news的具体内容的作用,且that 在从句中不作成分,因此这个从句是同位语从句。

二、正确运用同位语从句的引导词,准确把握同位语从句1.如同位语从句意义完整,应用that引导同位语从句。
(即that不充当任何成分,只起连接作用,不可省略)例:Thegeneralgavetheorderthatthesoldiersshouldcrosstheriveratonce.将军下达了战士们立即过河的命令。
析:thesoldiersshouldcrosstheriveratonce是theorder的全部内容,且意义完整,因此应用that引导同位语从句。
2.如同位语从句意义不完整,需增加"是否"的含义,应用whe】ther引导同位语从句。
(if不能引导同位语从句)例:We'lldiscusstheproblemwhetherthesportsmeetingwillbeheldontime.我们将讨论运动会是否会如期举行的问题。
