Module3 Unit1 The world of our senses的第一课时,旨在帮助学生了解课文内容,指导学生掌握阅读这类故事的一些阅读策略。故事通常包括下列要素:情节(a plot),人物 (main characters),时间 (a certain time period),地点(a place),要解决的问题或事件 (a problem or an issue to be solved),高潮或结局(a climx or a surprise ending)。 W( when, where, who, what, why )和一个H(how)。 Teaching & Learning aims: 1. Learn a story about what happened to a young lady on a thick foggy afternoon. 2. Learn how to comprehend a story better. 3. Learn to identify the elements of a story. 4. Learn something about the interpersonal relationships. Important points: 1. Comprehend the story by identifying the elements of a story. 2. Finishing the task-based reading. Difficult points:
1. Deep understanding of some situations.
2. Retelling the text Teaching procedures: 一. ⅠTalk about the five senses. ⅠReading strategy--how to read a story Students have a discussion about it There are different types of stories.
