Using the door, she ends up rescuing Howl a few times from the witches who are after him. She's pretty brave for a little old granny, huh? There's also this hilarious scene where Howl's former student wizard shows up with his magic henchmen to fight Howl, but Sophie beats them all up! An old lady beating up all these strong wizards? It's so funny.The relationship between Sophie and Howl gets closer and closer as the movie goes on. Even though Sophie looks elderly on the outside, Howl starts to see her true beauty on the inside.And even though Howl seems selfish at times, you can tell he really cares about Sophie. Their friendship is so sweet.But you know what's not sweet? The Witch of the Waste! She is one mean and creepy villain, let me tell you. She does all these nasty things to try to get what she wants. Like at one point she spits this gross goo from her mouth that turns into these little blob monsters. Gross! She's always cackling with her wicked laugh too. I was scared of her at first, but then I remembered she was just a made-up witch so I didn't need to be afraid.I don't want to give away how the movie ends and ruin it for you. But I can tell you that there's an epic battle between Howl and the witches where the castle literally takes flight and soars through the air! The animation during these scenes ismind-blowingly awesome and beautiful. You've seriously never seen anything like it before.And that's not even the end of all the excitement and surprises. Let's just say that Howl has some crazy secrets about his past that get revealed. And Sophie completes her journey to lift her own spell as well as Calcifer's curse. There's adventure, magic, drama, action, laughs, and even a few sad moments too. Howl's Moving Castle seriously has everything!I'm telling you guys, words can't describe how much I loved this movie. The world and characters are so imaginative. The story is exciting and unpredictable. The animation is breathtaking and gorgeous. The backgrounds and scenery are so lush and detailed - it's like every frame is a painting. And the character designs are so creative and expressive. The way they move is so smooth and lifelike too.But the story itself is also really deep when you think about it. It touches on important themes like the meaninglessness of war, growing up and finding your place in the world, and also learning to care for others instead of just thinking about yourself. There are moments that are funny, heartwarming, sad, andflat-out bizarre.
