When I come home, I rest in the holes on the broken wall of the well. If I jump into the water, it comes up to my armpits and holds up my cheeks. If I walk in the mud, it covers up my feet.I look around at the wriggly worms, crabs and tadpoles, and none of them can compare with me. Moreover, I am lord of this trough of water and I stand up tall in this shallow well. My happiness is full. My dear sir, why don't you come often and look around my place?"Before the turtle from the East Sea could get its left foot in the well, its right knee got stuck. It hesitated and retreated. The turtle told the frog about the East Sea. "Even a distance of a thousand li cannot give you an idea of the sea's width; even a height of a thousand ren cannot give you an idea of its depth. In the time of King Yu of the Xia dynasty, there were floods nine years out of ten, but the waters in the sea did not increase. ln the time of King Tang of the Shang dynasty there were droughts seven years out of eight, but the waters in the sea did not decrease. The sea does not change along with the passage of time and its level does not rise or fall according to the amount of rain that falls. The greatest happiness is to live in the East Sea."After listening to these words, the frog of the shallow well was shocked into realization of his own insignificance and became very ill at ease.小学故事英语演讲稿范文篇2Friend in Need Is a Friend IndeedJack and Ben are good friends. 英语小故事演讲稿英语小故事演讲稿篇一Once upon a time, there were two very good friends who lived together in the shade of a rock. Strange as it may seem, one was a lion and one was a tiger. They had met when they were too young to know the difference between lions and tigers. So they did not think their friendship was at all unusual. Besides, it was a peaceful part of the mountains, possibly due to the influence of a gentle forest monk who lived nearby. He was a hermit , one who lives far away from other people. For some unknown reason, one day the two friends got into a silly argument. The tiger said, ;Everyone knows the cold netes when the moon wanes from full to new!; The lion said, ;Where did you hear such nonsense ? Everyone knows the cold netes when the moon waxes from new to full!;The argument got stronger and stronger. Neither could convince the other. They could not reach any conclusion to resolve the growing dispute. They even started calling each other names! Fearing for their friendship, they decided to go ask the learned forest monk, who would surely know about such things.Visiting the peaceful hermit, the lion and tiger bowed respectfully and put their question to him. The friendly monk thought for a while and then gave his answer. ;It can be cold in any phase of the moon, from new to full and back to new again. It is the wind that brings the cold, whether from west or north or east. Therefore, in a way, you are both right! And neither of you is defeated by the other. The most important thing is to live without conflict, to remain united. Unity is best by all means.;The lion and tiger thanked the wise hermit. They were happy to still be friends.英语演讲小故事篇二A BetTwo pals are sitting in a pub watching the eleven-#39;clock news。

三年级英语故事演讲稿三篇故事一:The Little Red HenOnce upon a time, there was a little red hen who lived on a farm. One day, she found some grains of wheat in the yard. She asked her animal friends – the cat, the dog, and the pig – if they would help her plant the wheat. The cat lazily replied, “Not I.” The dog barked, “Not I.” And the pig squealed, “Not I.” So, the little red hen planted the grains of wheat all by herself. She watered them and took care of them until they grew into tall, golden wheat. When the wheat was ready to be harvested, the little red hen asked her friends if they would help her. “Who will help me cut the wheat?” she asked. But the cat, the dog, and the pig all replied, “Not I.”Undeterred, the little red hen cut the wheat herself. She then asked her friends if they would help her thresh the wheat. But once again, they all replied, “Not I.”So, the little red hen threshed the wheat herself. Finally, she asked her friends if they would help her bake the bread. And once again, they all replied, “Not I.”Without any assistance, the little red hen baked the bread all by herself. The delicious smell of freshly baked bread spread throughout the farm. When the bread was ready, the little red hen asked her friends if they would like to share it with her. But this time, they all eagerly replied, “Yes, we will!”The little red hen looked at them and said, “No, I will eat the bread all by myself. I did all the work, and you did not help me at all.” And she enjoyed the bread all by herself, leaving her lazy friends to regret their actions.Moral of the story: It is important to be willing to help others and contribute to a task, as we cannot always expect to enjoy the rewards without putting in any effort.故事二:The Ant and the GrasshopperOnce upon a time, there was a hardworking ant and a lazy grasshopper. The ant was busy collecting food for the winter, while the grasshopper spent his days singing and dancing. One sunny day, the grasshopper saw the ant working tirelessly and asked, “Why are you working so hard, dear ant? Come and enjoy the sunshine with me!”The ant replied, “I am preparing for the winter when food will be scarce. If I don’t work hard now, I will go hungry later.”The grasshopper laughed and said, “Winter is still far away. There is plenty of time to relax and have fun. Why waste your time working?”Ignoring the grasshopper’s words, the ant continued to gather food. As the days grew colder, the grasshopper began to get hungry. He went to the ant and begged for some food. The ant looked at the grasshopper and said, “You should have listened to me and worked hard when you had the chance. Now, Icannot give you any food. You will have to find a way to survive the winter on your own.”The grasshopper realized his mistake and learned the importanceof hard work and preparation. From that day on, he vowed to work hard and not waste his time. And he never went hungry again. Moral of the story: Hard work and preparation are important for success. It is better to be like the ant, who worked diligently, than to be like the grasshopper, who wasted his time and suffered the consequences.故事三:The Boy Who Cried WolfOnce upon a time, there was a shepherd boy who lived in a village. He was responsible for taking care of the village’s sheep. To entertain himself, the boy often cried out, “Wolf! Wolf!” even when there was no wolf around. The villagers would rush to the boy’s aid, only to find out that it was a false alarm. The boy found this amusing and continued to play the same trick on the villagers. One day, a real wolf came to attack the sheep. The boy cried out, “Wolf! Wolf! Help!”But this time, the villagers did not believe him. They thought it was just another one of his pranks. The boy desperately tried to protect the sheep on his own, but he couldn’t fight off the wolf alone. The wolf managed to snatch some sheep and run away. The boy learned his lesson and realized the consequences of his actions. From that day on, he never played pranks or told lies again. The villagers also learned the importance of trust and not taking things for granted.Moral of the story: Honesty is important. If we repeatedly lie or deceive others, they will eventually stop believing us when we need their help the most. It is better to always tell the truth and be trustworthy.。

篇一:The Ugly Duckling(丑小鸭)Good morning, everyone. Today I’d like to tell you a story about a duckling that faced lots of difficulties before becoming a beautiful swan. It’s called “The Ugly Duckling”.Once upon a time, in a farm, a duck sat on her eggs and waited for them to hatch. When one egg didn’t hatch with the others, theduckling inside had to kick harder and harder until it finally broke its shell. But when it tried to follow the other ducklings to swim, they laughed and called it an ugly duckling b ecause it didn’t looklike them. It was really sad, and so it ran away.On its journey to find someone like it, the duckling met lots of creatures, including a chicken, a cat, a fox, and more. But none of them wanted to be friends with it because of the way it looked. The ugly duckling was more and more depressed, and it wanted to give up. Until one day, it saw a group of beautiful swans swimming gracefully in the pond. The duckling was so amazed by their beauty that it decided to take a closer look. But when it got there, the swansdidn’t shoo it away; instead, they welcomed it with open wings. Atthe same time, the ugly duckling looked into the pond, and in the reflection, it saw that it had transformed into a beautiful swan too, just like its friends. So, kids, this story teaches us to never judge a book by its cover. We should not judge anybody based on their appearance or where they come from, for we are all unique and special in our own way.Thank you for listening!篇二:The Ant and the Grasshopper(蚂蚁与蚱蜢)Hello, everyone. Today I’m going to tell you a story about the importance of hard work and preparation. It’s called “The Ant andthe Grasshopper”.One beautiful summer day, a grasshopper hopped and sang while an ant tirelessly went back and forth, gathering food for the winter. The grasshopper laughed at the ant and said, “Why do you work so hard when you can play and enjoy the sun like me?”The ant replied, “I’m getting ready for winter when the weather will be cold and food will be scarce. I can’t relax just yet.”But the grasshopper continued to play and sing, confident that hehad plenty of time. He even mocked the ant as “a silly labourer”.So the season changed, and winter came. The grasshopper was hungry, cold, and without food. He remembered the ant and went to its home, hoping for some of the food that the ant had stored. The ant, though angry, decided to share its food with the grasshopper. However, he warned, “This is the last time I’ll help you. Learn from the lesson and prepare for next year in advance.”Kids, this story teaches us that being prepared and working hardwill help us enjoy success in the future. We should not neglect responsibilities, but rather be disciplined and work hard atachieving our goals.Thank you for listening!篇三:The Three Little Pigs(三只小猪)Good morning, kids. Today I’m going to tell you a story about how careful planning, hard work, and persistence lead to success. It’s called “The Three Little Pigs”.Once upon a time, there were three little pigs, each with their own houses – straw, wood, and brick. A hungry wolf saw them and tried to blow the straw house down, but the pigs managed to escape to the wood house. The wolf tried again, but this time the wood house was also not strong enough. So the pigs ran to the brick house. The wolf tried repeatedly to blow the brick house down also, but failed. Frustrated, he decided to sneak down the chimney. However, the clever pigs had a pot of boiling water ready for him, falling right on top of him when he came in. The wolf then fled, never to return again.Kids, this story teaches us that careful planning, hard work, and persistence will lead us to success. It also teaches us that we must not judge someone or something by how it appears on the outside or how it looks like, but judge it by its intrinsic value.Thank you for listening!篇四:The Lion and the Mouse(狮子与老鼠)Hello, everyone. Today’s story is about how a small act of kindness can lead to a big reward. It is called “The Lion and the Mouse”.One day, a mighty lion caught a tiny mouse and decided to let it go, even though he could have eaten it. Sometime later, the lion fell into a trap set by some hunters, and no matter how hard he tried, he could not free himself. The mouse saw the lion’s predicament and decided to help. And so the small mouse began to nibble away at the ropes that held the lion, eventually setting him free. The lion roared with joy and thanked the mouse. From that day on,the lion and the mouse became friends, and the lion vowed to repay the mouse someday. So, kids, this story teaches us a very important lesson. You must never underestimate the power of your small actions. Even thetiniest thing can sometimes have a huge impact on someone’s life, and it might even come back to reward you someday. The mostimportant quality that we should develop today has to be kindness and compassion towards all living beings.Thank you for listening!。
