英语课堂---德育教育的主阵营
在实现教学目标的各科教学中,英语教学中对学生进行德育渗透具有很特别的作用,因为英语它不仅是一门学科,更是一门语言,是信息的载体。
在初中英语教学工作中,英语教师的工作一方面表现在对学生传授英语知识,重视学生听说读写各项技能的训练;另一方面,还应该加强对学生的思想品德教育,重视对学生品格的培养,力求帮助学生形成正确的人生观和价值观,做到既教书又育人的作用。
本学期我要在英语课堂教学中进行德育教育渗透,且有以下几点计划:
一、深入挖掘英语教材,直接进行德育渗透
德育与英语课堂教学的互相渗透是休戚相关、无处不在的。
有德育功用的英语课文比比皆是,不胜枚举。
八年级第二学期的英语课文《Trees》系统地介绍了树木对人类的重要性,树木面临砍伐严重的现状,以及如何保护树木的措施,培养学生爱护树木、保护环境的思想意识。
《Water talk》通过一滴水的叙述,让学生了解水的复杂循环过程,从而让学生知道水资源的珍贵,从而养成节约用水的好习惯。
英语课堂教学渗透德育,不但要求教师重视课文,切不可脱离课文,漫无边际地高谈阔论,而且要求教师发挥主导作用,遵循英语教学原则,把思想品德教育渗透到教学的全过程,自觉地把教学内容和学生现有的认知结构之间的矛盾协调起来。
为了达到“教书育人”之目的,教师备课时要认真钻研教材,细心深入发掘教材中的育人素材,找到德育工作与学科教学的最佳结合点,有意识地把思想品德教育渗透到英语知识的传授中。
二、让学生小组活动,进行德育渗透。
作为教语言的英语教师,在课堂教学中,应该充分发扬民主,尊重学生的主体地位和个性差异将自己的价值观念与别人交流。
我在英语课堂教学中经常让学生进行pair work或group work,本学期准备继续执行。
用小组讨论模式,启发学生在小组讨论中积极思考,主动交流或辩论,做出判断,寻找自己认为是正确的答案。
鼓励学生在讨论中考虑他人的观点和意识,协调与他人的分歧。
允许学生犯错误,并改正错误。
同时面向全体学生,保护学生的学习积极性,真正做到互相尊重,互相关心。
如,在教学第一单元语法现在进行时时,我准备让学生运用所学的语法,让学生用进行时造句接龙。
在学到第四单元《Newspaper》时,可以小组竞赛形式让学生设计我们自己学校的校报,在这些模拟的语言情景的交际活动中,学生在学习语言的同时,也培养了与他人合作交往的能力。
以及关爱他人、热爱集体的美德,同时也培养了受挫能力。
三、充分利用多媒体等直观教具,进行德育渗透。
英语教学如果一味地采用老师单调的讲解和空洞的说教,学生会感到乏味,更谈不上德育渗透。
而使用多媒体,把文字、图形、声音、动画、视频图像等信息集于一体,使呈现的教学内容形象生动,富有感染力,这样能使学生在无形中受到思想品德教育。
例如,在五月份教授课文《Travel》时,我准备呈现一些我们国家的一些旅游景点的图片,从而激发学生的爱国热情以及对美好生活的向往。
再例如,教授课文《Electricity》时,可以呈现一些没有电情况的图片,让学生知道电的重要性,从而培养学生节约用电的意识以及节约的方法。
课堂气氛热烈,学生进入了意境,受到了强烈的感染和深刻的教育。
四、组织丰富的英语课外活动,进行课后的延伸拓展。
《课程标准》指出:根据学生的年龄特点和兴趣爱好,积极开展各种课外活动有助于学生增长知识、开阔视野、发展智力和个性、展现才能。
这学期我准备结合学生的认知水平、语言能力及教材内容,每周末布置两篇的阅读作业,通过对这些语言材料的讲解,师生共同来发掘德育渗透点。
例如,阅读材料《Waiting for the rabbits》(守株待兔),告诉他们:No pains,no gains(不劳无获);阅读材料《The rabbit and the tortoise》(龟兔赛跑),告诉他们:Pride goes
before a fall(骄傲必败)。
总之,课堂教学是德育工作的主阵地。
在课堂教学中渗透德育,是每个教师应该努力作到的。
渗透只是手段,教育和培养德才兼备的人才,才是目的。
作为一名教师,要真正使德育落到实处,使德育溶于教材,教师除了有极大的热情,广博的知识,高超的艺术,较强的德育能力,还要掌握一些方法和技巧。
在教学中,既要强调语言知识的讲授,又要注意德育的有机渗透。
只有这样,才能使学生学好知识的同时,提高思想素质。
