Y ou are hosts from China Tin Co. you are going to the airport to meet three American guests from Harvard industry, co. in California. They are the chairman of the corporation, Brian Campbell, the CEO, Alex Bush and David Greybull, the manager of china d ivision. All of them are new to you. At the airport, you are to greet the guests and introduce yourselves. One of you will leave early. The rest of you will arrange for the transportation and take the guests to the hotel. Y ou play the role as an importer and your partner as an exporter. Negotiate for buying 5,000 sports shoes from your partner at the lowest possible price(suggested price: 25﹩/pair FOB shanghai). Y our partner, of course, should sell the goods at the highest possible price. Y ou should have some light talk before the formal negotiation, and make a natural transition form the general to the specifics.

Two of you act as Chinese exporters and the other two American importers. The Americans bought 300,000 pounds green tea from the Chinese exporter. When the goods arrived, 12 days behind schedule, and the Americans found that there is some discrepancy in quality between what was stipulated in the contract and the actual goods. Now work on the penalty.
