It's called The Lion King and it's a Disney movie about lions who live in the Pride Lands of Africa. The main character is Simba, who is a lion cub and the son of Mufasa, the king of the Pride Lands.At the start of the movie, Simba is born and all the animals come to Pride Rock to celebrate the new prince's arrival. Simba's evil uncle Scar is really jealous though because he wants to be king instead of Mufasa. Scar tricks Simba into going to the elephant graveyard, which is really dangerous, and then he gets his hyena friends to start a wildebeest stampede to kill Mufasa and Simba! It's so scary when the wildebeests are running everywhere. Mufasa saves Simba but then Scar kills him by throwing him off a cliff. I cried so much when Mufasa died!After Mufasa dies, Scar convinces Simba that it was all his fault and tells him to run away and never come back. Simba runs into the desert and almost dies, but he's rescued by Timon themeerkat and Pumbaa the warthog. They teach him their "hakuna matata" way of life, which means no worries. Simba grows up in the jungle with them, having fun adventures and not worrying about being king.Years go by and one day Simba's friend Nala, who is a lioness, finds him in the jungle. She tells him that the Pride Lands are becoming a wasteland under Scar's reign and that the pride needs Simba to come back and be the rightful king. At first Simba doesn't want to go back because he still feels guilty about his dad's death, but then his spirit guide Rafiki shows Simba that Mufasa is still alive as a spirit watching over him.Simba goes back to the Pride Lands and when he sees how terrible everything looks under Scar's rule, he decides to challenge Scar and take back the kingdom. There's an epic fight between Simba and the hyenas, and finally Simba defeats Scar and takes his rightful place as the new king of Pride Rock! The movie ends with Simba having a cub of his own, carrying on the circle of life.I loved everything about The Lion King! The story was so exciting with the stampede, Mufasa dying, Simba growing up in the jungle, and then Simba coming back to fight Scar. The animations and drawings were beautiful, especially thewildebeest stampede scene which looked so real. And the music was wonderful - I loved singing along to "Hakuna Matata" and "Circle of Life."My favorite characters were definitely Simba, who was so brave and loyal, and Timon and Pumbaa who were hilarious. I also really liked Rafiki the wise old baboon and Zazu the banana-beak bird who was always getting himself in trouble. Scar was an awesome villain - he was so mean and scary, but also kind of funny in an evil way.Overall, The Lion King is just a perfect movie. It has amazing music, gorgeous animation, a gripping story of adventure and perseverance, and important lessons about taking responsibility, moving on from grief, and fighting for what's right. Just as Scar is about to throw Simba over the edge, Simba reveals that Scar was the one who really killed Mufasa! The other lions turn against Scar and Simba and Scar have an epic battle. Simba wins and reclaims his place as the rightful king!At the end, the Pride Lands become the beautiful paradise they used to be when Mufasa was king. Simba gets married to Nala and they have a cute little cub together. We see Simba and his family looking out over the kingdom, with Mufasa's spirit shining down from the stars above. It's such a heartwarming, beautiful ending that always makes me cry happy tears!I loved The Lion King so much because the story is so exciting and emotional. Poor little Simba goes through so much sadness but he never gives up on finding his destiny.
