CLIMBING
Do you like climbing? I really love it not only because I can get away from the noise of the city, breathe the fresh air, but also I can get a lot from it.
When I was a little boy, my father and I once climbed the mountain near my house. That was a high mountain and was challenging to me, for I was only ten years old. During the first few hours of climbing, I enjoyed the flowers and trees, the birds’singing, and the beautiful dances of butterflies. As time passed, I got a pain in both of my legs. I wanted to quit climbing. In fact , I hated it at that moment. My father said to me, “You can always see a beautiful sky at the top of the mountain , but you can’t see it before you reach the top. Only there at the top, can you see all the nice things.”At that time, though I was too young to understand his words, I kept on climbing. After two hours’hard climbing, I found myself standing at the top of the mountain. And there , I could see the whole of the sky, which was as clear as crystal.(水晶).
Life is just like climbing mountains. We won’t give up climbing no matter what difficulties are in front of us, because the goal is still there! Success comes to those who keep working perseveringly.
MY DESKMATE
Who gives me a hand when I’m in difficulty? Who can laugh with me when I’m happy? This person is my deskmate - Mary. She is really an angel, who never fails to make others feel warm. Here is a story between us.
That was a cold winter morning, I got a bad cold. Nobody noticed that and I felt very sad. When my deskmate knew that, she ran to the school clinic and bought some medicine for me. Then she brought me some fruit and poured hot water for me. Looking at what she was doing for me, I was moved entirely. Thanks to her help, I spent the terrible day happily.
That is my deskmate. She gave me help and warmth. I feel lucky that I have such a good deskmate. She is the sunshine in my world!
In the big world, the sunshine loves flowers most and the land loves grass most. However, who loves me most? I think she is my grandma.
