一. 并列连词
并列连词用来连接属于同一层次并具有相同句法功能的词，短语或句子。主要是用来表示并列关系，转折关系，选择关系，因果推理关系等。

①并列连词连接词，短语或分句

二. 并列句
含有连个或两个以上的独立分句的句子叫并列句。这些独立分句处于平等的，互不依从的并列地位。
英语并列句通常不能只用逗号隔开（较短的句子除外），而要用分号或并列连词连接，连词前可用或不用逗号。除了使用并列连词外，还可以使用并列连词词组或连接副词来连接分句。
常用的并列连词有：and, but, or, for, so, neither, nor等
常见的并列短语有：either…or, neither…nor, both…and, as well as, not only…but also.等
常见的连接副词有：besides, furthermore, moreover, however等
表示顺承和递进关系：
常用and, neither…nor, not only…but also等连词
e.g. I examined the chick(雏鸟) and it seemed fine. 我检查了雏鸟，它好像没有什么问题。
Not only I like this movie, but also my mother likes it as well. 不仅我喜欢这部电影，而且我的妈妈也很喜欢。

1. but; while
but表示完全的转折，语气较强。while主要表示对比

He wants to be a writer, while I want to be a scientist.
他想成为一名作家，然而我想成为一名科学家。
2. however however在使用时必须与句子的其他成分用逗号隔开。
e.g. Many people have donated that type of blood, however, the blood needs more.
许多人捐献了那个类型的血液，但是，血库仍然需要更多。
3. yet yet既可以用作并列连词，也可以用作连接副词。
e.g. Tom worked hard, yet he failed.
Tom工作很努力，却失败了（并列连词）
