I see three possible solutions: the Internet, pair-work with the use of audio recorder and interview of fellow-students. Assignments can also include listening to authentic radio program or watching a movie and prepare for a discussion. Taking into consideration contemporary means in the language labs .we can get in touch with the excellent students in the other class, and set up debates or discussion. To spur for learning outside theclassroom instructor should choose something that relates to the students' background.Another principle I consider is group or pair work is a part of our daily routine . group work is a great source of additional actual language use, that leads to development of oral proficiency it does not do any harm making students to use the language creatively .When the group work is held students shouldn't be left alone. An instructor should observe, correct and monitor their production. At the same time we learn a language in a group. To work as a group we have to know each other and value each other's individual character and opinion. Pair-work presupposes cooperation.
