英语演讲比赛获奖演讲稿精选范文(精选3篇)英语演讲比赛获奖演讲稿精选范文 篇1 In summer of 20xx, public officials in our province of Saskatchewan issued a decree: that allaffected people leave their homes and in mass exodus, travel to places of refuge where theycould be safe and accounted for. They were escaping blazing forest fires of epic proportions. It was the largest evacuation in Saskatchewan history. Thousands of people were on the move, all of them in uncertain circumstances, not knowinghow quickly they would return home. For a few young women, these circumstances had an added dimension of uncertainty. Theywere in the late stages of pregnancy. These young women were living as displaced persons far from home, without the supplies theyhad gathered for their new baby. Thankfully, for all concerned, healthy babies were delivered in hospitals close by with medicalstaff to give assistance. We are privileged to live in a province where people come together. That can be difficult whenstress levels are high. And so I salute the evacuees, and the firefighters, and the troops, and the Red Cross, and thelocal officials, the mayors and chiefs. Those who shared money, food and supplies, those who prayed for an ending to this situation. All rose to the occasion. Two thousand years ago, a public official named Caesar Augustus issued a decree that all peopleneeded to be accounted for. Itaffected the entire Roman world. Everyone needed to beregistered. Many people were on the move, with primitive travel arrangements, not knowing how long thiswould take. I'm sure for some young women, this circumstance had an added dimension of uncertainty.Like being in the late stages of pregnancy. For one of these young women, the time came to have her baby, her first. Not in a local hospitalalong the way, not even in a clean, comfortable Holiday Inn, but in a stable, with precious fewamenities. Her only assistant, a most likely very, very nervous husband, with perhaps some curiousanimals looking on. She didn't have much for supplies either. All she had were a few strips of cloth to wrap him in.And all she could lay him in was not a cradle made by her carpenter husband, but just asimple, dirty manger. Crude surroundings for a King. His first visitors – an adoring group in from the fields smellingstrongly of sheep. They were alerted by a type of atmospheric media unlike any we couldimagine. All rose to the occasion. This Christmas, we celebrate the arrival of that very special baby boy. The "Divinest Heart thatever walked the earth was born on that day" as it has been said. His name is Jesus, the essence of hope and peace and the ultimate example of self-sacrificefor love. So from me and my wife Tami, and our family, and on behalf of my colleagues in theGovernment of Saskatchewan: "May you have the gladness of Christmas which is hope; thespirit of Christmas which is peace; and the heart of Christmas which is love." And may you spread joy to others who need it most. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!英语演讲比赛获奖演讲稿精选范文 篇2 还是在儿时,我的老师就在我的心中播下了一颗种子,一颗对“教师”这一职业期望的种子。
第1篇Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon! It is with great pleasure and honor that I stand before you today to share my thoughts and aspirations for the future, as part of this English Proficiency Competition. Today, I want to talk about the power of youth and how we, as university students, can harness this energy to create a brighter tomorrow.Youth is a unique and precious time in our lives. It is a time when we are filled with boundless energy, curiosity, and dreams. We are at the cusp of adulthood, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunitiesthat lie ahead. As university students, we are the architects of our own future, and it is our responsibility to shape the world in which we live.First and foremost, let us acknowledge the power that lies within us. As young individuals, we possess the ability to learn, adapt, and innovate. We are the generation that grew up with technology at our fingertips, and we have the capacity to harness its potential for the betterment of society. We are the generation that is not afraid to question the status quo and to strive for change. In the realm of education, we have the opportunity to expand our knowledge and skills. University is a place where we can delve into various disciplines, explore different cultures, and develop critical thinking abilities. We are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers, and it is our duty to acquire the tools necessary to succeed.Furthermore, we must recognize the importance of teamwork and collaboration. In today's interconnected world, no single individual can achieve greatness on their own. We need to learn to work together, to listen to one another, and to respect diverse perspectives. By fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation, we can create a more inclusive and harmonious society. As university students, we also have a responsibility to contribute to the community. We are part of a larger network of individuals who share our goals and values. By engaging in volunteer work, participating insocial initiatives, and advocating for causes that matter to us, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of others. Moreover, we must embrace the importance of cultural exchange. In our globalized world, we have the privilege of interacting with people from different backgrounds and cultures. This exposure allows us to broaden our horizons, to understand the complexities of the world, and to appreciate the beauty of diversity. Let us use this opportunity to learn from one another and to build bridges of understanding. In addition to these responsibilities, we must also prioritize our personal growth. University is not just about academic achievements; it is also about self-discovery and self-improvement. We must be open to new experiences, to challenges, and to failures. It is through these experiences that we learn and grow, that we become stronger and more resilient. Now, let us talk about the role of language in all of this. English, as the global lingua franca, has become an essential tool for communication, collaboration, and innovation. By mastering English, we open doors to new opportunities, both professionally and personally. It allows us to connect with people from all corners of the world, to share our ideas, and to contribute to the global conversation. In conclusion, as university students, we have the power to shape the future. We have the ability to learn, to innovate, to collaborate, andto contribute to the betterment of society. It is our responsibility to harness this power and to use it wisely.Let us embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Let us strive for excellence in our academic pursuits, let us foster a spiritof unity and cooperation, let us contribute to the community, and let us appreciate the importance of cultural exchange. As we continue to grow and evolve, let us remember that the power of youth lies not just in our potential, but in our actions. Let us be the change we wish to see in the world.Thank you for listening, and may we all embrace the power of youth to create a brighter tomorrow.[End of Speech]第2篇Ladies and Gentlemen,Good evening. It is an immense honor and privilege to stand before you today and share my thoughts on the university years, a period that marks the dawn of our adult lives and the beginning of our journey towards realizing our dreams. As we gather here for this English Proficiency Contest, I am reminded of the power of language to bridge cultures and ideas, and I am excited to express my thoughts on the theme "Embracing the Future: The University Years as a Canvas of Dreams."The university years are a unique time in our lives. It is a period of self-discovery, of learning, and of growth. We are no longer confined to the rigid structure of high school; instead, we are presented with a vast array of opportunities and challenges that shape us into the individuals we will become. Just as an artist uses a canvas to create a masterpiece, the university years provide us with a blank canvas upon which we can paint our dreams.Firstly, the university years are a canvas of knowledge. In this stage of our lives, we are exposed to a world of ideas, theories, and disciplines that were previously unknown to us. We have the opportunity to delve into subjects that ignite our curiosity and passion, whether it be the complexities of quantum physics, the nuances of literature, or the intricacies of social sciences. The university is a melting pot of knowledge, where we are encouraged to explore and question, to think critically and creatively. As we acquire this knowledge, we are not just filling our minds with facts and figures; we are also equipping ourselves with the tools to navigate the complexities of the world.Secondly, the university years are a canvas of personal growth. It is during these years that we learn about ourselves, our strengths, and our weaknesses. We encounter challenges that test our resilience anddetermination, and we overcome obstacles that shape our character. The university is a place where we are pushed out of our comfort zones, where we are encouraged to step out of our shells and embrace the unknown. Through these experiences, we learn to adapt, to communicate, and to collaborate. We discover our passions, our values, and our beliefs, and we begin to form our identity as adults.Furthermore, the university years are a canvas of relationships. We meet people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs, and we forge friendships that can last a lifetime. These relationships enrich our lives, broaden our perspectives, and teach us the importance of empathy and understanding. The university is a microcosm of the world, where we learn to navigate the complexities of human interactions and to appreciate the diversity that exists within our society. We learn towork in teams, to compromise, and to respect the opinions of others. These skills are invaluable in our future careers and personal lives. However, as we embrace the canvas of the university years, we must also be aware of the responsibilities that come with it. We must rememberthat our actions and decisions have consequences, and that we are notjust shaping our own futures, but also the futures of those around us. We must strive for excellence in our studies, while also fostering a sense of community and social responsibility. We must be leaders, notjust in our academic pursuits, but also in our personal lives and in the lives of those who look up to us.In conclusion, the university years are a canvas of dreams, a period where we have the freedom to explore, to grow, and to create. It is a time of immense potential and opportunity, where we can shape our future and leave an indelible mark on the world. As we embrace this canvas, let us remember that our dreams are not just aspirations, but actionable goals. Let us work tirelessly to acquire knowledge, to grow as individuals, and to build meaningful relationships. Let us be theartists of our own lives, painting a future that is bright, inspiring, and filled with purpose. In the spirit of embracing the future, let us not be afraid to dream big, to take risks, and to pursue our passions with unwavering determination.Let us use the canvas of the university years to create a masterpiecethat will not only inspire ourselves, but also leave a lasting impact on the world.Thank you for your attention, and may your university years be a journey filled with dreams, achievements, and unforgettable memories.[Applause]第3篇Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed judges, fellow contestants, and the audience,Good morning/afternoon/evening! The university, a place where dreamsare nurtured, talents are honed, and minds are broadened, is indeed a treasure trove of opportunities and challenges. In this speech, I would like to explore the various facets of university life, highlighting the importance of embracing this unique phase of our lives.First and foremost, university is a crucible of knowledge andintellectual growth. It is here that we are exposed to a vast array of subjects, ideas, and perspectives that challenge our existing beliefsand expand our horizons. The professors, who are experts in their fields, impart knowledge that goes beyond the textbooks, encouraging us to question, think critically, and seek answers to the world's mostpressing issues. This intellectual stimulation is what makes university life truly enriching. In the pursuit of knowledge, we also learn the value of self-discipline and hard work. University requires us to manage our time effectively, balance our academic responsibilities with personal commitments, and develop a strong work ethic. These skills are not only essential for academic success but also for our future careers. The challenges we face in university teach us resilience, determination, and the importance of perseverance.University is also a melting pot of cultures and ideas. We have the privilege of studying and living alongside individuals from diverse backgrounds, nationalities, and beliefs. This cultural exchange fosters empathy, tolerance, and a global perspective. We learn to appreciate the richness of different cultures and to embrace our own unique identities. The friendships we form in university are often lifelong, as we share our experiences, support each other, and grow together. Moreover, university life is a platform for personal growth and self-discovery. It is a time when we step out of our comfort zones, take risks, and explore our passions. Whether it is joining a sports team, participating in clubs, or organizing events, university offers us numerous opportunities to develop our leadership skills, teamwork, and creativity. These experiences shape our character, build our confidence, and prepare us for the complexities of the real world. One of the most significant aspects of university life is the formation of lifelong friendships. The bonds we forge with our classmates and roommates are built on shared experiences, laughter, and mutual support. These friendships provide us with a sense of belonging and comfort, especially during the tough times. We learn to rely on each other, to trust one another, and to cherish these relationships for a lifetime.Furthermore, university is a time for career exploration and professional development. We have the opportunity to engage in internships, part-time jobs, and volunteer work, which allow us to gain practical experience and insights into various fields. This hands-on learning helps us make informed decisions about our future careers and to develop the skills and competencies that employers seek. However, it is important to acknowledge that university life is not without its challenges. The pressure to excel academically, thefinancial constraints, and the emotional stress can sometimes take atoll on our well-being. But it is through these challenges that we learn to adapt, to grow, and to become stronger individuals. In conclusion, university life is a remarkable journey of growth and discovery. It is a time when we are exposed to new ideas, developessential life skills, and form lifelong friendships. Embracing this phase of our lives with an open mind and a positive attitude will undoubtedly shape us into well-rounded individuals, prepared to face the future with confidence and determination. As we embark on this journey, let us remember that the university is not just a place of learning but also a place of living. 全国大学生英语演讲比赛一等奖演讲稿good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. today i would like to begin with a story.there was once a physical 1) therapist who traveled all the way from america to africa to do a 2) census about mountain 3) gorillas. these gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world; this put them severely under threat of 4) poaching and being put into the zoo. she went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures. she witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the african rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas 5) cuddled their babies.yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called gorillas in the mist, based on a true story of mrs. dian fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.to me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a 6) timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our ecoenvironment.today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems. on the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go. it has become a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in gdp growth. it has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity. but on the other hand, many problems can occur---natural scenes aren't natural anymore. deforestation to heat lodges is devastating nepal. oil spills from tourist boats are polluting antarctica. tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to u2 on walkman and wear nike and reeboks.all these 7) appalling(令人震惊的) facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been 8) eroding(侵蚀) our resources.encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the united nations has made the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment.now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations an: receiving donations--big notes, small notes or even coins--from housewives, 9) plumbers(水管工人), ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and 10) invalids(残疾人), some of them can not afford to send the money but they do. these are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood. why? because they care. because they still want their mother nature back. because they know it still belongs to them.。

Today my speech is “I love black-faced spoonbill. On a beautiful winter day, I happened to meet the lovely spirit------Black Faced Spoonbill, a type of migratory bird, which spends winterat Hong-Shu-Lin in my city every year. Covered with snow-white feathers, it has black legs and a black beak. Besides the blacks and whites, an amazing splash of yellow is under its neck. So elegant that I couldn’t help loving it at first sight. With a big and spoon-shaped beak, it can clasp fishes easily, which makes it a powerful hunter in birds. However, with human expansion and pollution, only around 20xx ones are living all over the world.Like the eleven swan princes in Andersen’s Fairy Tale, the Black Faced Spoonbills have always been struggling to find a tiny rock which can offer them a momentary tranquility. I am currently an active member of the university Public Speaking Team, president of the Honours College Student Association, and also the vice president of the event department in Marketing Society. I am very active and outgoing. I enjoy being with people, engaged in conversations with them so that I can understand them more. I like public speaking as it can help increase my self-esteem and self-confidence. Aside from public speaking, I am also good at English recitation. I have joined the Macao-wide English Individual Recitation for a number of times when I was studying in the secondary school.Imagine a car without a steering wheel. Tough to imagine, right? Well, actually that’s the image you see if a person has no faith. Faith helps to guide us in our lives, encourage us to persist, and give directions when we are lost.In this peaceful era, our life paths seem to be already well-planned and determined. What we have to do is to follow. Yes, we may face different sorts of challenges, but at least they are less harsh when compared to those in the past. We do not need to worry about starving to death, or how to earn enough money to buy food for our siblings and sustain our lives. It is like driving from a muddy road into a highway. In the muddy road, path, you would say, as it is formed only by crossing on it manytimes, flattening the ground to form a smoother area so we can pass. The road is so bumpy and rough, with holes here and there and rocks lying all over. When we drive along this road, we have to be very careful, having a firm grip on the steering wheel, ready for a sudden turn or a large boulder that may appear any second. However, when we drive on a highway, everything becomes different. The road is smooth, straight, and visible. Since there is no unseen obstacle, we may lower our guard, relax a bit, and loosen our grip on the steering wheel. One may even think, if we only have to drive on a smooth straight road like this highway, why would we need a steering wheel?Nevertheless, one cannot foresee the future. Accidents do happen. For example, a car may suddenly appear in front of you. At such times, if you did not have the steering wheel, how could you make a sudden turn? Just as no one could foresee the Sichuan Earthquake nor the Japan Tsunami. If the one being trapped under the debris did not have faith, he/she would not have survived until being rescued. If we did not have faith, we could not recover from our sadness and rebuild our home.Faith is unique, just as happiness is. We feel happy for different reasons, we believe for different things. How can we know what we believe in? Recall the last time you are discouraged, and you felt you had lost all hopes in your life. What pulled you back into the world? What pushed you to stand up and continue to strive again? That is your faith, your belief. Faith is what makes you feel you can when others say you can’t.Faith is important…, faith is vital…, faith is necessary for us to live our lives. If we do not have faith, we are like a car without a steeling wheel. We can only afford to move along a straight and smooth path, and cannot meet any challenge in our lives. One must understand that no matter how smooth the road is, it is impossible for a car to go without a steering wheel. Or, put it in another way, have you ever seen a car without a steering wheel on the road? So, act now, my friends, find out what you believe in, find out your anchor in your life, hold on to your steeling wheel of your car, drive on, and reach your destination.Thank you very much.。
Ladies and Gentlemen,Good evening! It is a great honor to stand before you today and share my thoughts on the spirit of university life. As we gather here for the English Proficiency Contest, I believe it is essential to reflect on what truly defines our university experience and how we can carry this spirit into the future.First and foremost, university life is a journey of self-discovery. It is a time when we step out of our comfort zones, embrace new challenges, and explore our passions. This journey begins with the first day we step onto campus, filled with excitement and anticipation. In the realm of self-discovery, we encounter diverse cultures and ideas. Universities are melting pots where people from different backgrounds come together to learn and grow. We have the opportunity to interact with our peers, professors, and even international students, broadening our perspectives and understanding of the world. This exposure to different cultures fosters tolerance, empathy, and a global mindset. Moreover, university life is about academic excellence. We are here to acquire knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and prepare ourselves for the future. The pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong endeavor, and it is during our time in university that we lay the foundation for our future success.Academic excellence is not just about excelling in our courses; it is also about engaging in research, participating in seminars, and attending workshops. These activities not only enhance our understanding of the subject matter but also equip us with the skills needed to excel in our chosen careers. In addition to academic pursuits, university life is rich with extracurricular activities. Sports, clubs, societies, and volunteer work provide us with a platform to explore our interests, develop new skills, and build friendships. These activities contribute to our personal growth and help us develop a well-rounded character. One of the most significant aspects of university life is the formation of lasting friendships. We meet people from all walks of life, and these connections shape our experiences and perspectives. Our friends become our support system, challenging us to become better individuals and pushing us to reach our full potential.University life is also characterized by the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Many of us dream of starting our own businesses or contributing to the development of new technologies. The university environment encourages us to think outside the box, take risks, and embrace change. This spirit of innovation is what drives progress and propels societies forward. As we navigate through our university journey, we must remember that resilience is key. Life is unpredictable, and we will undoubtedly face challenges along the way. It is during these moments that we must stay strong, persevere, and believe in ourselves. Resilience is not just about bouncing back from failures; it is about learning from our experiences and growing stronger. In conclusion, the spirit of university life is a blend of self-discovery, academic excellence, extracurricular activities, friendship, innovation, and resilience. It is a time to explore our passions, develop our skills, and prepare ourselves for the future. As we gather here today for the English Proficiency Contest, let us embrace thisspirit and carry it forward into our lives beyond the university. In the words of Nelson Mandela, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Let us use this weapon wisely and make the most of our university experience. Together, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and for generations to come.Thank you for your attention, and may we all excel in this English Proficiency Contest, showcasing the spirit of our university life.God bless us all.。
Yes, I can!Hello, everyone. I’m Crystal. I’m 13 years old. Once, the American President Obama said in his speech: “Yes, we can!” Today, on this stage, I also want to say “Yes, I can!”Let’s share a story. There is an 11-year-old Chinese boy who decided to speak English fluently at his age of 4. Nobody believed he could do that because he was not able to know 26 letters at that time. His parents didn’t know English, either. However, he succeeded in speaking English fluently after two years of learning and practicing. More than that, he also helped over 20 thousand foreign visitors with his English on the Great Wall. It was really a miracle for him. He met great difficult in doing that. In 2008, his family was in a great debt of more than 2 million yuan. He was hardly able to afford his educational fees. However, the parents did everything to help him make his dream come true. They ate only Chinese cabbages and potatoes to save money to buy books. He was moved by his parents’supporting, and decided to hold on his dream to make his parents happy.Sometimes we may stop our dream for many kinds of reasons. But think of the boy, only action can tell the truth. Who knows what will happen in the future! Just do as you decided! And never forget “Yes, I can!”。

To be a qualified English teacher
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. It’s my great honor to have a speech here. Today, my topic is to be a qualified English teacher.
Yes, I am a teacher, an English teacher. And it’s the most brilliant and glorious occupation under the sun. But I choose to be a teacher not for the glory, but for my dream.
I hope I can to be a teacher,a qualified teacher. I want to bring my children not only knowledge, skills, but also happiness. Then I realized all I need to do is love.
Some say love, it is a river, that drowns the tender reed. Some say love, it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed…
It sounds good, right? Just like it, Different people have different definitions of love. I will share my ideas with you. We all know that “love” contains four letters. L- O- V- E. L stands for listen. O stands for obligate. V stands for valued. And E stands for excuse. These 4 words are what we should do now.
Firstly, we should learn to listen to the children. If you want to be children’s teacher, you should be a child first. That is to say, we should try to see, think and feel as a child. Try to listen to them, talk to them and be good friends. It will makes the distance become shorter and shorter.
Secondly, obligate your students. In another word, we should l earn to be grateful to our students. They bring me happiness, give
me confidence, and teach me to trust others. They are the reason, why I am working so hard.
Love is only four letters, however, it contains too much. Love means respect; love means caring; love means understanding; love means tolerance. Love is the most beautiful language in the world. Love is the key to be a qualified teacher. Love is all.。
