教学课题新标准英语第八册Module5 Interruptions Unit2 He's riding his bike, but it's starting to rain.教材分析本单元的教学点式说明事件的变化，即讲述一件事情正在发生的同时，被另一件事所影响。

该知识点使用的是现在进行时态，学生在前面两个模块已经学习过，所以本模块可以看做是现在进行时态的拓展应用，要格外关注的便是转折连词“but”的使用。

在Unit1中，教材以Daming的birthday party 为情景，引出了“but”的用法，在Daming's birthday party上，Daming在吹小号时不停地被打断，不断出现的状况影响了party 的正常进行，这一情景的设置很容易让学生理解“but”在这里引出的下半句是对前面一句发生了影响的，让学生在意识里比较容易感知。

在Unit2中，教材又以举例的方式呈现出我们生活中常见的一些状况，将教学知识“but”还原于生活，同时还以“梦”为载体，激发学生的述说愿望和表演欲望。

教学目标：一．知识目标1.学习语句：He’s riding his bike, but it’s starting to rain.2.能听懂并能口头运用He’s riding his bike, but it’sstarting to rain.说明事件的变化。

4、在游戏和竞赛活动中培养学生运用英语的能力，提高学生的口语水平。
