八年级下册英语作文爱使我变得勇敢全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1Love Makes Me BraveThey say love can move mountains, but for me, love gave me the courage to face one of my biggest fears – public speaking. It's something that used to make me want to hide under a rock any time I had to get up in front of people. My palms would get sweaty, my heart would race, and my mind would go blank. The thought of all those eyes on me was just too much. But then something changed that made me realize I had to conquer this fear once and for all.It started last year when we had to do presentations for our English class project on famous authors. I was assigned Emily Dickinson. Now don't get me wrong, I actually really like her poetry. But presenting in front of the whole class? No thanks! I spent weeks agonizing over it, practicing in front of a mirror, reworking my notes, and dreading that day. When it finally came time to present, I somehow managed to get through it. My voice was shaky, I stuttered plenty of times, and I'm pretty sure I was beet red the whole time. But I survived. Afterwards though, my best friend Jackie came up to me with a big smile."You did awesome! I'm so proud of you for getting up there," she said, giving me a hug.Her proud smile and words of encouragement meant more to me than she'll ever know. Jackie has been my rock from the very beginning – we've been inseparable since we were kids. She's stuck by me through thick and thin, and her friendship means everything to me. So having her positive reaction to my presentation gave me a whole new perspective. If someone I care about that much could see me overcome my fear, even just a little bit, then maybe it wasn't so insurmountable after all. Maybe if I just kept working at it, her pride in me would help give me the bravery I needed. Love can be a powerful motivator like that. From then on, I made dealing with my anxiety over public speaking my personal mission. I signed up for every opportunity to get up in front of people that I could. I joined the drama club, volunteered to read announcements over the morning PA system, and even entered a schoolwide speech competition. Some weren't pretty – there were still LOTS of stutters and awkward pauses. But little by little, I got more comfortable. The big test came when I was elected to be the 8th grade representative for the student council. Part of the responsibilities included giving presentations to the entire school at pep rallies and assemblies. Just thinking about that used to make me want to quit right then and there. But this time was different. This time I had Jackie's unwavering support and friendship motivating me.I thought about how proud she'd be to see me knock it out of the park.So when that first big assembly came up, I was definitely still nervous, but it was like manageable nerves. Deep breaths, a reassuring pep talk from Jackie in the wings, and the knowledge that I was doing this just as much for her as for me. Then I stepped up to that microphone, looked out at the sea of faces, and delivered one of the best speeches I've ever given.Nailed it! The roar of applause as I walked off stage was indescribable – a feeling of pure accomplishment and pride. And of course, Jackie was waiting right there to congratulate me with the biggest bear hug ever."I told you that you could do it! That was amazing," she said, beaming. "You're so brave."Brave. Something I never thought I could be when it came to public speaking. But Love, the powerful, unconditional Love of a true friend, was what gave me that bravery. It motivated me to keep trying, to keep getting back up there, and to face my fears head on. Because at the end of the day, pushing yourself to overcome something so huge isn't really about you at all – it's about showing those who love you just how much you love them back.So am I still a little nervous before a big speech? Of course. That may never fully go away. But I'll take some nerves over being paralyzed by fear and anxiety any day. Thanks to my loving friendship with Jackie, I've found an inner courage and bravery that I never knew I had.And who knows, maybe one day when I'm an adult, I'll be able to use that bravery to inspire others too. To show my own kids, or those close to me, that love can truly make you do amazing things - like moving your own personal mountains. Because if an 8th grader can go from a terrified mumbling mess to a confident public speaker, all because of the love and support of her best friend, then I think the possibilities for bravery are endless.篇2Love Makes Me BraveI've always been a pretty shy kid. Speaking up in class, trying new things, or putting myself out there has never come naturally to me. I tend to overthink things and get caught up worrying about what others might think. But over the past year, something has shifted inside me that has allowed me to start breaking free from my shyness and insecurity. That something is love – the love I feel for my family, my friends, and myself. It started last summer when my big brother Alex went off to college. I was really going to miss having him around. Alex has always been the cool, confident one that I've looked up to. He never seemed to struggle with shyness or self-doubt like I did. In the weeks leading up to him leaving, we spent a lot of time together, just the two of us. He gave me all kinds of big brother advice about high school, trying not to care too much what others think, being true to myself, and not being afraid to go after what I want in life. His words really resonated with me, but it was the love and confidence he had in me that made me start to believe in myself too. Alex told me he knew I was a good person with a lot to offer the world, if I could just get out of my own way and have a little more confidence. Hearing that from the person I admire mostmade me see myself in a new light. If Alex truly believed I could overcome my shyness, then maybe I could too. When the school year started, I made a commitment to myself to start putting myself out there more. I raised my hand more in class, joined the drama club (terrifying!), and made more of an effort to strike up conversations and make new friends. It was hard at first, and there were plenty of moments where I wanted to revert to my old shy ways. But I kept reminding myself of the love and faith my brother had in me. Somehow that shored up my bravery and gave me the boost I needed to keep trying. My friends have also played a big role in helping me come out of my shell this year. I've realized how much love and positive energy my closest friends give me. They hype me up, make me laugh, and provide a safe, supportive space for me to be myself without fear of judgment. Just being around them has slowly chipped away at the awkwardness and anxiety I used to feel in social situations. Thanks to their unconditional love and acceptance, I've gained more confidence to speak up, try new experiences, and put myself out there. The biggest shift for me, though, has come through developing a deeper love for myself. I've always been my ownharshest critic, constantly picking myself apart over perceived flaws and shortcomings. But this year, I've made an effort to be kinder to myself and focus more on appreciating the good things about me, inside and out. Practicing self-love has helped quiet my inner critic and made me less afraid to take risks or of failing. I've come to accept that I don't have to be perfect or please everyone. As long as I'm trying my best and staying true to my values, that's what matters most.Loving myself has been a game-changer when it comes to bravery. I realize now that so much of my shyness and hesitation stemmed from a lack of self-love and constantly worrying about what others thought of me. Now that I have moreself-confidence and a stronger sense of self-worth, I care less about others' opinions. I'm becoming faster at shutting down negative self-talk and not letting fear and insecurity hold me back as much.Don't get me wrong, I'm still an introvert at heart, and putting myself out there doesn't always come easy. But this past year has shown me that love – for my family, friends, and self – is a powerful motivator that can help overcome shyness, fear, and self-doubt. The more I let love into my life, the braver I've become.Taking risks and pushing myself out of my comfort zone is getting a little easier everyday. I'm trying not to let the fear of failure, embarrassment, or judgment stop me from going after what I want anymore. Having a strong support system of people who love me for who I am, along with developing genuineself-love, has been game-changing for building up my courage and confidence.I know the journey is far from over, but I'm so grateful for the perspective-shift and personal growth I've experienced this year, all thanks to love. Who knew that the greatest source of bravery came from within my heart all along? Now when I feel afraid or hesitant, I remind myself of the love surrounding me, and that gives me the courage I need to embrace life's challengeshead-on, one brave step at a time.篇3Love Made Me BraveThey say that love can make you do crazy things, but for me, it made me brave. I'm not talking about romantic love between two people, but the powerful love I have for my little brother Tommy. He was born when I was 8 years old, and from themoment I first held him, I knew I would do anything to protect him. Little did I know just how brave I would have to be.Tommy was a healthy, happy baby at first, always smiling and giggling. But when he was around 6 months old, my parents started getting worried that he wasn't hitting his milestones on time. He didn't seem interested in toys, had trouble focusing his eyes, and wouldn't make any sounds besides crying. After lots of doctor visits and tests, we got the devastating news - Tommy was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that caused developmental delays and disabilities. The doctors warned us that Tommy might never walk, talk, or be able to take care of himself. They said we should prepare ourselves because babies like Tommy often don't live very long. My parents were absolutely heartbroken and terrified about what the future held. But for some reason, I felt strangely calm and resolved. I made a promise to myself that day that no matter what happened, I would always love my little brother fiercely and make sure he felt safe, happy and loved every single day of his life.As Tommy grew from a baby into a little boy, the realities of his condition became impossible to ignore. He couldn't sit up, crawl, or eat solid foods. He couldn't communicate except forcrying. He had terrible seizures that would leave him unconscious for scary amounts of time. My parents had to drastically adjust their lives, careers and finances to make sure Tommy got the round-the-clock care and therapy he needed. While my friends at school were joining sports teams, going to sleepovers, and obsessing over the latest toys and trends, my childhood looked very different. I spent most of my free time at home, helping my exhausted parents take care of Tommy. Instead of playing outside, I was researching his condition online, talking to doctors, or pushing him in his wheelchair. There was no time for the typical kid stuff when your little brother's life was on the line every single day.It would have been so easy for me to feel sorry for myself or resent how much my life had changed because of Tommy. And I'll admit, there were definitely times when I did feel that way, especially in my angsty teenage years. Watching my friends live such carefree lives while I had to be the little adult at home was incredibly difficult and unfair. I missed out on so much of what's supposed to make childhood magical. But whenever I started to go down that road of self-pity and sadness, all I had to do was look at Tommy's sweet, innocent little face to shake myself out of it. How could I possiblycomplain or be upset when he was the one suffering so much, through no fault of his own? That unconditional, overwhelming love I felt for him gave me the strength and bravery to accept our situation with grace instead of anger. It pushed me to be mature beyond my years because I knew Tommy needed me to be his fierce protector. That's the thing about love - it's one of the most powerful forces in the world. When you truly, deeply love someone, it gives you an incredible reserve of courage, resilience and selflessness that you never knew you had. Every time I felt exhausted from staying up with Tommy all night during a seizure, that love motivated me to keep going without complaint. When I missed out on fun plans with friends because I had to stay home with him, that love helped me construct fun at-home adventures to keep him happy. No matter how hard things got or how scared I felt about the future, that love gave me the bravery to face it all head-on.There were so many times when I had to be the brave one in the face of adversity. Like when we were in a restaurant and Tommy started having a seizure, and I had to jump into action giving him medication and calling 911 while my parents froze up in panic. Or when kids at school started bullying me about my"weird" little brother, and I had to find the courage to face them down with poise and grace, educating them about disabilities instead of crumbling. Or when Tommy was in the hospital, scared and in pain after intense treatments, and I had to be the positive, soothing voice at his bedside, reading him stories and telling him everything would be okay. Now that Tommy is 10 years old, our lives have settled into a kind of new normal. He'll never be a typical kid and will likely need care for the rest of his life, but we've learned to adapt and deeply appreciate any little milestones he hits. Things aren't perfect, but we've created a life filled with as much love and happiness as we possibly can. And I've become a brave, resilient, selfless young woman because of it all.Loving someone as deeply as I love my brother gives you a purpose and a well of courage that's almost supernatural. No matter how tough things get, that love will push you to be braver than you ever thought possible. It will motivate you to persevere through the darkest days with strength, grace and hope. It will inspire you to be the protector, the hero, the force of strength - not just for the person you love, but for yourself too.I always dreamed of growing up to be a teacher, and now more than ever I know that's my true calling. I want to spend mylife nurturing, educating and inspiring young minds, helping them find the bravery inside themselves to overcome any obstacle. Just like the way loving Tommy helped me find my own incredible reserve of courage that carried me through the most difficult challenges.Love is a powerful, powerful thing. But you have to be brave enough to allow yourself to love fully - to let it consume and drive you, to let it be your moral compass, your security blanket and your ultimate motivator. I was lucky enough to experience that level of love starting at a very young age. And because of that, I'll be brave forever.。
