阅读理解A(2015·洛阳统考)导学号 01830153 One winter, my cousin and I were playing toy blocks in the yard. My mom was out for shopping to get groceries and my dad was asleep upstairs in his room. Suddenly, it started to snow. First it was just a little. But then it started to pour heavily. Then, we put the finishing touches to our blocks and headed back inside. Right when I opened the sliding glass door, my cousin fell down on the slippery wooden stairs. I let go of the door, my worst mistake, you see. The door locks automatically but I had put a rock, right next to the door so it wouldn't close. But while I was running to my cousin's aid I'd accidentally kicked the rock. Now, my cousin and I were locked outside. And unfortunately it started to get really windy. It was really freezing with the snow. First we started to call my dad, but he was sleeping soundly. I mean, slept through a tornado soundly. It was of no use. Then I tried to climb over the fence but it didn't work because the fence was iced by snow and wind, and the fence is six feet high. So, I climbed up to my tree house and brainstormed some ideas on ways to get in. At one point, I was seriously considering jumping out of the tree house and using the trampoline(蹦床) to jump over the fence. So, we got to work. First, I took out the trampoline. Then I started to jump. First try—I almost cracked my head. Second try—this time I convinced my cousin to do it but at the last second, he chickened_out. Third try—I jumped and missed but at the last second, my hand caught the fence, and with a lot of pushing I finally climbed over the fence and luckily, I fell on a big snowdrift. Then I got inside and unlocked the door for my cousin to get in. Finally, my mom came back. Then we shared this story with my mom and dad. 1.When the author wanted to jump in, the main problem was that ________.A.the fence was icyB.the fence was slippery and highC.the trampoline couldn't bear the weightD.the trampoline was too small答案:B细节理解题.根据第四段中的“Then I tried to climb over the fence but it didn't work because the fence was iced by snow and wind, and the fence is six feet high”可知,作者之所以跳不过去是因为篱笆又高又滑,即B项正确.2.The attitude of the author's cousin towards jumping on the trampoline seems ________.A.passive B.positiveC.indifferent D.objective答案:A推理判断题.根据倒数第二段中的“this time I convinced my cousin to do it but at the last second, he chickened out”可知作者的表弟对作者的提议持消极态度,即A项正确.3.The words “chickened out” (Paragraph 5) most probably mean “________”.A.fell down B.cried outC.jumped up D.backed out答案:D词义猜测题.根据倒数第二段中的“this time I convinced my cousin to do it but at the last second, he chickened out”中的convinced和but可知,作者说服了表弟,但在最后一秒钟表弟又打退堂鼓了,即D项正确.4.Which would be the best title of the text?A.Climbing over the Fence in the SnowB.An adventure in the YardC.Friendship Produces PleasureD.We Are Independent答案:B标题归纳题. 01830154The Boy Made It!One Sunday, Nicholas, a teenager, went skiing at Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine. In the early afternoon, when he was planning to go home, a fierce snowstorm swept into the area.Unable to see far, he accidentally turned off the path. Before he knew it, Nicholas was lost, all alone! It is terrible for children to steal into the pool.Know the way out. __5__ Make sure that they know where all ladders are, and that you teach them to use them for entering and exiting the pool safely. Although your child may be able to lift herself or himself out of the pool using the side, that is not the safest way to go.A.Don't play around in the pool.B.Be sure to show all children the proper way to exit the pool.C.Swimming under water is forbidden in the pool.D.This is to prevent children from entering the pool without your permission.E.Slipping into the water seems like the perfect way to deal with the heat.F.Something sad happens every year.G.Make sure kids know food should be eaten either before or after swimming. On a hot summer day,to deal with the heat等判断答案. 故选F.3.A根据题干和A中的关键词:running around the pool or pushing anyone,Don't play around等判断答案. Keep the gate locked at all times, without your permission 故选D.5.B根据题干B中的关键词:the proper way to exit the pool,Know the way out等判断答案. 只允许修改10处,多者(从第11处起)不计分.(2015·山东济南市5月针对性训练) My classmates and I take part in a wildness survival program from July 10th to July 13th this summer. AGerman company DHL recently announced it is starting a new drone(无人驾驶飞机) delivery service to get “ur gently needed goods,”such as life-saving medicines,to certain remote locations. The company’s plan is to use small,parcel-carrying drones to deliver medicines and emergency supplies to Juist,an island in Germany’s North Sea,where more traditional delivery options(such as ferries or trains) aren’t always available. The drone service is a continuation of DHL’s“parcelcopter research project,”which was launched in December 2013.But the DHL drones have changed significantly since their maiden(初次的) flight,DHL officials said in a statement. For one thing, they’ve been improved to undergo the high winds and rain that they may face over the North Sea.For another, the parcelcopter 2.0 can reach altitudes of 164 feet and can fly as fast as 40 miles per hour. The drone is also capable of flying for ext ended periods of time—about 45 minutes before needing to be recharged—enabling it to make the roughly 7.5-mile journey to Juist. The drone can carry loads of up to 2.6 pounds(1.2 kilograms). The drone itself weighs 11 pounds(5kg).Thanks to a new autopilot feature, the maiden flights of the ne w and improved drones will be completely automated, even during takeoff and landing. However, drone pilots will be standing by at a mobile ground station in Norddeich,on the coast of mainland Germany, just in case something goes wrong.Once the drones land at Juist, the parcels will be delivered to their recipients(收件人) by a human courier(急件递送者).For now,the company will be using the drones, only when other delivery options aren’t available, and no plans are currently in the works to incorporate the parcelcopters into normal day-to-day deliveries, according to company officials.1.To meet what requirement will DHL probably use the drones?A.A ton of life necessities need to be sent to a village.B.An important parcel needs to be sent to a man in Juist.C.Some medicines are urgently needed in the city hospital.D.A family needs to go to Juist when ferries aren’t available.2.What is Paragraph 3 mainly about?A.The DHL drones’ first fl ight.B.The purpose of the DHL drones.C.The disadvantages of the DHL drones.D.The improvements on the initial DHL drones.3.The new drone .A.will be much lighterB.can deliver much heavier parcelsC.can send parcels directly to recipientsD.will be fully automatic during the whole flight4.What can we infer from the text?A.The drones have been in use since December 2013.B.The drones won’t be widely used in the near future.C.The drones will replace human couriers in the future.D.The drones will replace traditional delivery options soon.B(2016·福建毕业班单科质检)Want to help fight global warming?Take off your tie, says the called on all public and private offices to let employees wear no ties during heat waves like the one that has brought Africa-like temperatures to many parts of Italy this week. The move echoes(回应) a
