I cannot change it."Of course not!You don't have to suffer needlessly. Your destiny depends on you, not onany other external factors.I know someone who says she just accepts what life gives her because shehas done everything she can to improve it.Guess what her lifestyle is?She wakes up in the morning, goes to work, comes back home, relaxes, chatswith people, watches TV, then goes to sleep. Next day, the same routinary cycleensues.Huh Is this what she calls "doing her best?"She believes she has tried her best and just accepts it in her heart thatthis is the life that God has intended for her to live;that her luck can onlychange if God wills it.Of course God wants us to be happy and live our life to the fullest, but wehave to do our share of exerting the effort to livethe life of our dreams. You reap what you sow.You just don't sit around and wait for a million dollars to fall from thesky. You have to get off the couch, get your eyes off the TV screen, get yourhands off the phone (unless it contributes to your success), and get your mindand body to work!If your life is not meant the way you want it to be, don't just say: "Ourtime will come." or "Things will get better some day."Don't expect your luck to change, unless you do something about it. Ifsomething goes wrong, don't just regard it as a temporary setback; but use it asfeedback. Learn your lesson, make the most of the situation, and do something toresolve the problem. It's not enough to think positive; you also have to act positive. If someone's life is in trouble, do you just hope and pray that things willturn out fine? Of course not! You got to do anything you can to save theperson. So it is with your own life. It is not enough to hope for the best, but youhave to DO your best.In other words, don't just stand (or sit) there, do something to improveyour life!许多他们会说:“这就是我的命运,是命中注定的。

英语著名的演讲稿篇1[authenticity certified: text version below transcribed directly from audio. (2)]less than three months ago at platform hearings in salt lake city, i asked the republican party to lift the shroud of silence which has been draped over the issue of hiv and aids. i have e tonight to bring our silence to an end. i bear a message of challenge, not self-congratulation. i want your attention, not your applause.i would never have asked to be hiv positive, but i believe that in all things there is a purpose; and i stand before you and before the nation gladly. the reality of aids is brutally clear. two hundred thousand americans are dead or dying. a million more are infected. worldwide, forty million, sixty million, or a hundred million infections will be counted in the ing few years. but despite science and research, white house meetings, and congressional hearings, despite good intentions and bold initiatives, campaign slogans, and hopeful promises, it is -- despite it all -- the epidemic which is winning tonight.in the context of an election year, i ask you, here in this great hall, or listening in the quiet of your home, to recognize that aids virus is not a political creature. it does not care whether you are democrat or republican; it does not ask whether you are black or white, male or female, gay or straight, young or old.tonight, i represent an aids munity whose members have been reluctantly drafted from every segment of american society. though i am white and a mother, i am one with a black infant struggling with tubesin a philadelphia hospital. though i am female and contracted this disease in marriage and enjoy the warm support of my family, i am one with the lonely gay man sheltering a flickering candle from the cold wind of his family’s rejection.this is not a distant threat. it is a present danger. the rate of infection is increasing fastest among women and children. largely unknown a decade ago, aids is the third leading killer of young adult americans today. but it won’t be third for long, because unlike other diseases, this one travels. adolescents don’t give each other cancer or heart disease because they believe they are in love, but hiv is different; and we have helped it along. we have killed each other with our ignorance, our prejudice, and our silence.we may take refuge in our stereotypes, but we cannot hide there long, because hiv asks only one thing of those it attacks. are you human? and this is the right question. are you human? because people with hiv have not entered some alien state of being. they are human. they have not earned cruelty, and they do not deserve meanness. they don’t benefit from being isolated or treated as outcasts. each of them is exactly what god made: a person; not evil, deserving of our judgment; not victims, longing for our pity -- people, ready for support and worthy of passion.my call to you, my party, is to take a public stand, no less passionate than that of the president and mrs. bush. they have embraced me and my family in memorable ways. in the place of judgment, they have shown affection. in difficult moments, they have raised our spirits. in the darkest hours, i have seen them reaching not only to me, but also to my parents, armed with that stunning grief and special grace that es only to parents who have themselves leaned too long over the bedside of a dying child.with the president’s leadership, much good has been do ne. much ofthe good has gone unheralded, and as the president has insisted, much remains to be done. but we do the president’s cause no good if we praise the american family but ignore a virus that destroys it.we must be consistent if we are to be believed. we cannot love justice and ignore prejudice, love our children and fear to teach them. whatever our role as parent or policymaker, we must act as eloquently as we speak -- else we have no integrity. my call to the nation is a plea for awareness. if you believe you are safe, you are in danger. because i was not hemophiliac, i was not at risk. because i was not gay, i was not at risk. because i did not inject drugs, i was not at risk.my father has devoted much of his lifetime guarding against another holocaust. he is part of the generation who heard pastor nemoellor e out of the nazi death camps to say,“they came after the jews, and i was not a jew, so, i did not protest. they came after the trade unionists, and i was not a trade unionist, so, i did not protest. then they came after the roman catholics, and i was not a roman catholic, so, i did not protest. then they came after me, and there was no one left to protest.”the -- the lesson history teaches is this: if you believe you are safe, you are at risk. if you do not see this killer stalking your children, look again. there is no family or munity, no race or religion, no place left in america that is safe. until we genuinely embrace this message, we are a nation at risk.tonight, hiv marches resolutely toward aids in more than a million american homes, littering its pathway with the bodies of the young -- young men, young women, young parents, and young children. one of the families is mine. if it is true that hiv inevitably turns to aids, then my children will inevitably turn to orphans. my family has been a rock of support.my 84-year-old father, who has pursued the healing of the nations, will not accept the premise that he cannot heal his daughter. my mother refuses to be broken. she still calls at midnight to tell wonderful jokes that make me laugh. sisters and friends, and my brother phillip, whose birthday is today, all have helped carry me over the hardest places. i am blessed, richly and deeply blessed, to have such a family.but not all of you -- but not all of you have been so blessed. you are hiv positive, but dare not say it. you have lost loved ones, but you dare not whisper the word aids. you weep silently. you grieve alone. i have a message for you. it is not you who should feel shame. it is we -- we who tolerate ignorance and practice prejudice, we who have taught you to fear. we must lift our shroud of silence, making it safe for you to reach out for passion. it is our task to seek safety for our children, not in quiet denial, but in effective action.someday our children will be grown. my son max, now four, will take the measure of his mother. my son zachary, now two, will sort through his memories. i may not be here to hear their judgments, but i know already what i hope they are. i want my children to know that their mother was not a victim. she was a messenger. i do not want them to think, as i once did, that courage is the absence of fear. i want them to know that courage is the strength to act wisely when most we are afraid. i want them to have the courage to step forward when called by their nation or their party and give leadership, no matter what the personal cost.i ask no more of you than i ask of myself or of my children. to the millions of you who are grieving, who are frightened, who have suffered the ravages of aids firsthand: have courage, and you will find support. to the millions who are strong, i issue the plea: set aside prejudice and politics to make room for passion and sound policy.to my children, i make this pledge: i will not give in, zachary, because i draw my courage from you. your silly giggle gives me hope; your gentleprayers give me strength; and you, my child, give me the reason to say to america, "you are at risk." and i will not rest, max, until i have done all i can to make your world safe. i will seek a place where intimacy is not the prelude to suffering. i will not hurry to leave you, my children, but when i go, i pray that you will not suffer shame on my account.to all within the sound of my voice, i appeal: learn with me the lessons of history and of grace, so my children will not be afraid to say the word "aids" when i am gone. then, their children and yours may not need to whisper it at all.god bless the children, and god bless us all.good night.英语著名的演讲稿篇2as americans gather to celebrate this week, we show our gratitude for the many blessings in our lives. we are grateful for our friends and families who fill our lives with purpose and love. we're grateful for our beautiful country, and for the prosperity we enjoy. we're grateful for the chance to live, work and worship in freedom. and in this thanksgiving week, we offer thanks and praise to the provider of all these gifts, almighty god.we also recognize our duty to share our blessings with the least among us. throughout the holiday season, schools, churches, synagogues and other generous organizations gather food and clothing for their neighbors in need. many young people give part of their holiday to volunteer at homeless shelters or food pantries. on thanksgiving, and on every day of the year, america is a more hopeful nation because of the volunteers who serve the weak and the vulnerable.the thanksgiving tradition of passion and humility dates back to the earliest days of our society. and through the years, our deepest gratitude has often been inspired by the most difficult times. almost four centuriesago, the pilgrims set aside time to thank god after suffering through a bitter winter. george washington held thanksgiving during a trying stay at valley forge. and president lincoln revived the thanksgiving tradition in the midst of a civil war.the past year has brought many challenges to our nation, and americans have met every one with energy, optimism and faith. after lifting our economy from a recession, manufacturers and entrepreneurs are creating jobs again. volunteers from across the country came together to help hurricane victims rebuild. and when the children of beslan, russia suffered a brutal terrorist attack, the world saw america's generous heart in an outpouring of passion and relief.the greatest challenges of our time have e to the men and women who protect our nation. we're fortunate to have dedicated firefighters and police officers to keep our streets safe. we're grateful for the homeland security and intelligence personnel who spend long hours on faithful watch. and we give thanks to the men and women of our military who are serving with courage and skill, and making our entire nation proud.英语著名的演讲稿篇3hello, everyone !my name is i’m from class 1, i’m very happy to stand here to give you my free-talk. today my topic is “to be a good failure”.ibelieve everyone has experienced a lot . we have done good things and also bad things. when we do the bad things, we should not feel sad. we should learn from failure ,learn from every mistake and learn how to be a good loser. that’s what i'll be talking about today. that's our lesson to learn. let me tell you why.first, losing is a part of life. it is unavoidable. it is something we all must face. everybody loses sometimes. every great person knows this truth. so don't be ashamed of losing. losing doesn't mean you're a loser.second, don’t escape from it, just accept it. losing is beneficial and can be helpful to you. we just view it as a learning experience. losing is a chance to learn. you can learn how to try again and improve.third, practice makes perfect. create challenges for yourself. never be afraid of failure. lose as much as you can. losing only makes you better. that is a great secret of success.in conclusion, remember these. you will be a good loser. it might be painful at first. but it will get easier as you go along. you'll be respected and admired. you'll feel so achievement to learn so much. you are not the real failure ,you will be a winner in future.英语著名的演讲稿篇4ever since the dawning of the history of mankind, there have been myriads of diversifed inventions, discoveries, and even explorations of the mysteries of the universe. in fact, the human beings are so intelligent that we have solved almost all kinds of problems we have confronted with.however, nobody has ever made out what the word love really connotes, not even the most famous people such as great politicians, saints and philosophers can clarify the meaning of love, neither can they deal with the various affairs concerning love. love is like a huge boundless net that shrouds us all in. we can neither break away from it nor escape from it. like it or not, we are always entangled in it. it is an invisible net without any form, that shrouds in different people from different angels; it is a merciless net that upsets us or even tortures us to death. it is also a supreme net which almost no human can surpass. even if they are heroes, emperors, wise men or saints, they can do nothing but show their helplessness in its face. those who can breathe through the holes of the net should be regarded beyond monness and vulgarity. love can bring us temporary fort and happiness, but mostly they bring about annoyance and sufferings. maybe this is the reason why many people have seen throughthe illusions of the mortal world. however it is not so easy to break away from this boundless, ever-existing and indifferent net of love.love is varied and changeable, but roughly it can be divided into three categories: family love, fraternal love and amatory love. not like monkey king who jumped out of the rocks, we were all born after mother's pregnancy of about nine months, hence we have countless relatives without any choice: parents, grand-parents, and grand-parents-in-law, uncles and aunties, brothers and sisters, etc. and once looking at the genealogical tree, we'll see no end. family love is what everyone longs for, but the warmth and support from our beloved ones are what everyone yearns for the most. but how many of us are determined to contribute to our beloved one? and how many don't expect repayment and relaxed. conscience even if they have the desire and preparation to contribute to their beloved. the distance between relatives is different and so are their expectations. but since it's very difficult to know how much we should expect, a lot of worries and distresses emerge.parents always expect their children to show their filial obedience, or at least pay them frequent visits after they have got married. if the children fail to do this, they feel hurt and upset, and they'll even plain about their children, because they just can't understand why their children don't care about them after what they have done for the children for so many years to bring them up. nevertheless, one's experience determines his ideology. young children are naturally attached to their parents, but when they grow up, specially when they have made their own friends, and got married, what they need most is independence and freedom, and parents sometimes might bee their burden. once there is generation gap, it bees more difficult to municate and this keeps them away from their parents. objectively speaking, they need more independence in order to achieve success. in the present society, what the children want to havemost is the economic support from their parents, not their moral support or guidance. they would plain if your economic support is not up to their expectations. the love from uncles and aunties would naturally dwindle after they have had their own children. only the love from grand-parents and grand parents-in-law is pure and demands no repayment, and they are also too old to wait for any repayment. as for the distant relatives, their love depends on their needs, just as the old saying goes the poor have no friends even if they live in downtown while the rich have distant relatives even if they live in deep mountains。

英语经典演讲稿1i started a company called blueblood. this is for you. i created an online marketplace for professional truck drivers when they are in need of work to match with a motor carrier who needs a driver. we are just rolling out. my concern is the regulations. my concern is for all industries, what can we do with the regulationissued to help us through these phases?you heard the president when he started off. he has rolled back already so many regulations to make it possible to move forward. he was only less than a dozen days in office when the executive order stated for every new regulation you want tocreate you've got to get rid of 2. i think that is bringing down theregulatory environment. i feel -- i hear the same message when i'mtouring the country. i'm visiting every district office. there's 68 of them. i hold business roundtables. the regulatoryenvironment is clearly one that is crippling a lot of small businesses as well as large businesses. i believe that it is a trillion dollars a year a cost for all businesses to comply with regulations. that is a time of money. a little example, just now i was in portland and seattle, and alaska. then i came back tomilwaukee. when i was at a small brewery, the owner said theregulations that bothers him, let me give you one example. he saidi want to launch a new beer. we had the body in the formula. hesent in the label and it was kicked back. the label was wrong.we resubmitted. it kicked back again. i finally found out it was a,missing in the text on the label of the description of the product. we were delayed six months launching our product. you are a small business person trying to reclaim that six months.those regulations we don't need.英语经典演讲稿2So many people under estimate the power and importance of a smile, that simple little facial expression characterized by an upward curving of the corners ofthe mouth.A smile has many meanings: pleasure, friendliness, welcome, amusement, and many more; and it is part of a universal body language that doesn’t need any extrainter pretation.Plus a smile, with all its simplicity and beauty, can be a very important factor in many aspects of our lives:You fall in love with a new country you visit because its people greet you with a welcoming smile everywhere you go; other countries y ou just don’t like even though they might have more history, nature, entertainment and what not because their people don’t seem so friendly or accepting. You feel like buying from a certain store when the vendor welcomes you in with asmile, sometimes even if you wouldn’t initially have bought anything; and in other stores, even though they have exactly what you need or better, you decide to walk away because the vendor doesn’t look welcoming at all.You want to give a waiter a good tip when he serves you with a smile, even if the food turns out not that good; on the other hand, sometimes you’ll have some of the best food ever, but you won’t feel like giving the waiter a tip, even if you do, because he was grumpy.More and more examples from our everyday life show howmuch a simple smile can change everything.Forever engraved in my mind will be the smiling faces of the people of Thailand, the friendly pizza delivery boy, the welcoming supermarket vendor, the nice cashier at the bank, … etc.It is these smiles that keep me wanting to go back, and that keep us all wanting to go back; looking at it from another view, if we break it down using business sense, a smile is one of the most effective means to generate sales and develop customer loyalty. On top of all that, a smile is a very simple and easy thing to do, so it amazes why no one bothers to do it, it not only makes the person in front of you better, but it also makes you feel better as well, and I’m not making this up,it has been psychologically proven.Per sonally, I’d like to see more smiling faces in this world; in the airports when I enter a new country, in companies, government agencies, restaurants, hotels, banks, everywhere; and I think it is up to governments to campaign about this, and even make it obligatory in certain important places like airports, hospitals, hotels … etc.Let’sall simply smile.英语经典演讲稿3today i am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. what is success? it is what everyone is longing for.sometimes success would be rather simple. winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now i am standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.however, as a person's whole life is concerned, success becomes very complicated. is fortune success? is fame success?is high social status success? no, i don’t think so. i believe success is the realization of people's hopes and ideals.nowadays, in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the successful. and the most obvious characteristics of them are money, high position and luxurious life. so most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. but the problem is wether it is real success. we all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. if we keep chasing them, where is the end? what will satisfy us at last? therefore, we can see, to get the real success we must need something inside, which is the realization of people's hopes and ideals.different people have different ideas about success; cause people's hopes and ideas vary from one another. but i am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. these are the best treasures. so now i am very proud that i have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. it is my success, cause i raise up to challenge my hope.what is success? everyone has his own interpretation as i do. but i am sure every success leads to an ever-brighter future. so ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a successful life!wish you all good success!英语经典演讲稿4The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what the other people think, say,or do.It is more important than the appearance, the giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company,a church ,a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day, regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.We cannot change our past.We cannot change the fact that people will act in acertain way.We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one stage we have. And that is our attitudes.I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me ,and ninety percent how I react to it.And so it is with you.We are in charge of our attitudes.英语经典演讲稿5In the matter of courage we all have our limits. There never was a hero who did not have his bounds. I suppose it may be said of Nelson and all the others whose courage has been advertised that there came times in their lives when their bravery knew it had come to its limit.I have found mine a good many times. Sometimes this was expected--often it was unexpected. I know a man who is not afraid to sleep with a rattle-snake, but you could not get him to sleep with a safety-razor.I never had the courage to talk across a long, narrow room. I should be at the end of the room facing all the audience. If I attempt to talk across a room I find myself turning this way and that, and thus at alternate periods I have part of the audiencebehind me. You ought never to have any part of the audience behind you; you never can tell what they are going to do.I'll sit down.。
英语经典演讲稿(精选6篇)英语经典篇1honorable judges, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen:it is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the english language.about a year and a half ago, i took part in my very first english speech contest. when i stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, i could hardly speak. i stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say. my fears had paralyzed me.while my passion for english has never changed, i lost my courage to speak in public. when my professor again encouraged me to take part in this competition, i said “no.” i couldn’t endure yet another painful experience. he looked me straight in the eye and said something that pierced my heart. i will never forget his words. “look,” he said, “we all have our fears, and you have yours. you could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play again. running away can never dispel your fears, but action will. a winner is not one who never fails, but one who never quits.”i spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind. then i made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: i would face my fears – and take part in the competition!as it turned out, my dear old professor was right. now, here i am, once again standing before a microphone. my heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, i have faced my fears -- and that makes all the difference!thank you.英语经典演讲稿篇2Welcome to Guangdongladies and gentlemen, honorable judges, good afternoon.i come from one of the most lovely and attractive areas of china, the pearl river delta of guangdong province and i'd love to say a few words about this nation. so is it to human life. habit is one of your belongings. if you have a good habit, you will never use it up. however, if you have a bad habit, you will be in endless debt. whether to be an owner or a slave is up to you. your behavior leads to a habit, your habit develops your personality, and your personality determines your destiny. from this, we can see it is important for middle school students to build up a good learning habit.as middle school students, what habits do we have to develop?1. show your respect and appreciation to your teachers.2. preview your lessons well.3. listen to the teacher carefully.students should concentrate on in class, and grasp the importance and difficulties, so that they will have the class effectively.4. observe attentively and think actively.5. be good at asking questions. the best students are those who are willing to ask questions and those who are creative.6. learn from others.everyone has his own advantages and disadvantages. what we should do is to learn from each other and get improved.7. do your homework independently.homework is an important part of teaching activities and it is a continuous part. it is the basic and independent practice. at the same time, it is the way to test how much students learned.some students don’t have a clear purpose and attitude towards it. they cheat in different ways. some students are afraid of doing something difficult. these bad habits influenced the efficiency of learning. so, we should pay much attention to our homework.8. think over when you take a test.9. reflect after doing exercise.10. learn to summarize.at last, make a list of your mistakes.mistral , one of the winners of nobel prize in chile, said,“we may wait for lots of things we need, but students can’t do that. they are growing up. we shouldn’t say tomorrow to them. their names are today.thus, let’s start from today, from now on, from every little thing and cultivate one good habit and another. let all the goodhabits be with us for a life time, be a ladder that leads us to success, and to a splendid tomorrow.英语经典演讲稿篇4Let’s stand up from wher e we fall downAll the celebrations welcoming the new century were hold in the year 20xx, because life without a greeting is like the sky without the sun.Greetings are very important for the whole world,in my opinion. But I don't know whether greetings are enough for us.Especially when we meet with failures .I remember quite clearly that when I was a child,if I fall down and was on the brink of crying,my father always told me"Please stand up from where you fall down!"Yes,we must stand up from where we fall down. That was a special mid night in 1993.Expectations filled our hearts. We stared at the TV,hoping excitedly as the voice would fly to our Is such a state of mind, so you always wonderful for yourself!Spring, flowers, wind throw area; summer, flowers open, butterfly fluttering; autumn sky was clear and leaves as fire; winter, bleak, snowy, whether Hanlaishuwang, spring, summer autumn and winter, the sun rose as usual from … …No Better, I do not know who carried out normally enough, few people need to know how much effort to achieve the dream, we can only continue to move forward, forward, then forward, "We are seizing the day is long!"Seize the day, when you blankly; seize the day, when you depressed; seize the day, when you lazy, seize the day, at a time when you have a dream; the sun every day is new, Life is always full of hope, start now, take every moment, do not hesitate! So, thirty-one years ago today, I drove from Madison, Wisconsin, to Los Angeles, California. On the way, I passed Camp Randall, where my college graduation ceremony was in progress. I thought about going to the ceremony, but it meant I would've arrived in Hollywood one day later, and at the time I just didn't see the point. I wanted to get there.Gertrude Stein once said about Hollywood, "When you get there, there is no 'there' there." That's true. However, there will be a swimming pool and tennis court. In the end, though, it's probably not enough to justify a life's journey. Getting there, particularly in show business, is tough enough. You need a combination of talent, ambition, luck and a willingness to tell actors how beautiful they look today. In retrospect, getting there was the easy part. Finding a "there" there is much harder. So today, before you get into your cars and race off to the rest of your lives, I want to give you some advice on how to get there. And I want to help make sure that when you get there, you find a "there" there. To that end, I will give you my five rules to think about, quickly forget, but years from now kick yourself for not having listened to.向着成功努力的过程,乍一看,就像一条黑漆的隧道,望不到头,比如高三毕业班的学生,每天有做不完的作业,忙不完的事,睡不够的觉,许多人每天都要"头悬梁锥刺骨,地挑灯夜战",每天在"两点一线"之间劳碌……一天天的生活就像复印机里印出来的,一切都在重复。
英文演讲稿优秀10篇英文演讲稿篇一Good morning dear teachers and my fellow students. After one week of examinations, finally we can take a deep breath for celebrating the nice finale of term 1 as well as the brand new beginning of term 2. Now, we should take some time reviewing what we did well on term 1 performance and what improvements we can work on in the next term. For us, the grade 12 students, we should be prepared for the university affair which is coming in 2 weeks from now; therefore we have not only to study hard for the academic courses but also to prepare the information for the university affair. Then time management is crucial for grade 12 students in order to get everything done. At the same time, all students should also get involved in the various extracurricular since versatility plays important role when we want to succeed. Last summer, there were 5 grade 12 students who joined a fantastic activity held by Harvard University in Shanghai. We had spent a long time to fill in their application forms, and then finally be enrolled in the great event. We had surely learned a lot when we worked with other people to solve problems. Most importantly, we had experienced that things are not as easy to work on as their appearances. We learned how to work coorpertively, and think creatively, and all these factors are the skills for thriving in the future tasks. As a result, we want to tell you that in this way of learning,?we can become more practical and sophisticated in future tasks. We advocate that we students should actively participate in out class activities. All in all, we should all aim for the best in all areas of study, and then we will succeed. All grade 12 students?英文的演讲稿篇二The president:Hello, everybody! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, everybody. All right, everybody go ahead and have a seat. How is everybody doing today? (applause.) How about tim spicer? (applause.) I am here with students at wakefield high school in arlington, virginia. And weve got students tuning in from all across america, from kindergarten through 12th grade. And i am just so glad that all could join us today. And i want to thank wakefield for being such an outstanding host. Give yourselves a big round of applause. (applause.)I know that for many of you, today is the first day of school. And for those of you in kindergarten, or starting middle or high school, its your first day in a new school, so its understandable if youre a little nervous. I imagine there are some seniors out there who are feeling pretty good right now -- (applause) -- with just one more year to go. And no matter what grade youre in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer and you couldve stayed in bed just a little bit longer this morning.I know that feeling. When i was young, my family lived overseas.I lived in indonesia for a few years. And my mother, she didnt have the money to send me where all the american kids went to school, but she thought it was important for me to keep up with an american education. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, monday through friday. But because she had to go to work, the only time she could do it was at 4:30 in the morning. Now, as you might imagine, i wasnt too happy about getting upthat early. And a lot of times, id fall asleep right there at thekitchen table. But whenever id complain, my mother would just give me one of those looks and shed say, "this is no picnic for me either, buster." (laughter.)So i know that some of you are still adjusting to being back at school. But im here today because i have something important to discuss with you. Im here because i want to talk with you about your education and whats expected of all of you in this new school year. Now, ive given a lot of speeches about education. And ive talked about responsibility a lot.Ive talked about teachers responsibility for inspiring students and pushing you to learn.Ive talked about your parents responsibility for making sure you stay on track, and you get your homework done, and dont spend every waking hour in front of the tv or with the xbox.Ive talked a lot about your governments responsibility forsetting high standards, and supporting teachers and principals, and turning around schools that arent working, where students arent getting the opportunities that they deserve. But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, the best schools in the world -- and none of it will make a difference, none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities, unless you show up to those schools, unless you pay attention to those teachers, unless you listen to your parents and grandparents and other adults and put in the hard work it takes to succeed. Thats what i want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education.I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself. Every single one of you has something that youre good at. Everysingle one of you has something to offer. And you have aresponsibility to yourself to discover what that is. Thats the opportunity an education can provide.Maybe you could be a great writer -- maybe even good enough to write a book or articles in a newspaper -- but you might not know it until you write that english paper -- that english class paper thats assigned to you. Maybe you could be an innovator or an inventor -- maybe even good enough to come up with the next iphone or the new medicine or vaccine -- but you might not know it until you do your project for your science class. Maybe you could be a mayor or a senator or a supreme court justice -- but you might not know that until you join student government or the debate team. And no matter what you want to do with your life, i guaranteethat youll need an education to do it. You want to be a doctor, or a teacher, or a police officer? you want to be a nurse or an architect, a lawyer or a member of our military? youre going to need a good education for every single one of those careers. You cannot drop out of school and just drop into a good job. Youve got to train for it and work for it and learn for it.And this isnt just important for your own life and your own future. What you make of your education will decide nothing less than the future of this country. The future of america depends on you. What youre learning in school today will determine whether we as a nation can meet our greatest challenges in the future.Youll need the knowledge and problem-solving skills you learn in science and math to cure diseases like cancer and aids, and to develop new energy technologies and protect our environment. Youll need the insights and critical-thinking skills you gain in historyand social studies to fight poverty and homelessness, crime and discrimination, and make our nation more fair and more free. Youll need the creativity and ingenuity you develop in all your classes to build new companies that will create new jobs and boost our economy. We need every single one of you to develop your talents and your skills and your intellect so you can help us old folks solve our most difficult problems. If you dont do that -- if you quit on school -- youre not just quitting on yourself, youre quitting on your country. Now, i know its not always easy to do well in school. I know alot of you have challenges in your lives right now that can make it hard to focus on your schoolwork.I get it. I know what its like. My father left my family when i was two years old, and i was raised by a single mom who had to work and who struggled at times to pay the bills and wasnt always able to give us the things that other kids had. There were times when i missed having a father in my life. There were times when i was lonely and i felt like i didnt fit in.So i wasnt always as focused as i should have been on school, and i did some things im not proud of, and i got in more trouble than i should have. And my life could have easily taken a turn for the worse. But i was -- i was lucky. I got a lot of second chances, and i had the opportunity to go to college and law school and follow my dreams. My wife, our first lady michelle obama, she has a similar story. Neither of her parents had gone to college, and they didnt have a lot of money. But they worked hard, and she worked hard, so that she could go to the best schools in this country. Some of you might not have those advantages. Maybe you dont haveadults in your life who give you the support that you need. Maybe someone in your family has lost their job and theres not enough money to go around. Maybe you live in a neighborhood where you dont feel safe, or have friends who are pressuring you to do things you know arent right. But at the end of the day, the circumstances of your life -- what you look like, where you come from, how much money you have, what youve got going on at home -- none of that is an excuse for neglecting your homework or having a bad attitude in school. Thats no excuse for talking back to your teacher, or cutting class, or dropping out of school. There is no excuse for not trying.Where you are right now doesnt have to determine where youll end up. No ones written your destiny for you, because here in america, you write your own destiny. You make your own future.Thats what young people like you are doing every day, all across america.Young people like jazmin perez, from roma, texas. Jazmin didnt speak english when she first started school. Neither of her parents had gone to college. But she worked hard, earned good grades, and got a scholarship to brown university -- is now in graduate school, studying public health, on her way to becoming dr. Jazmin perez.Im thinking about andoni schultz, from los altos, california, whos fought brain cancer since he was three. Hes had to endure all sorts of treatments and surgeries, one of which affected his memory, so it took him much longer -- hundreds of extra hours -- to do his schoolwork. But he never fell behind. Hes headed to college this fall. And then theres shantell steve, from my hometown of chicago, illinois. Even when bouncing from foster home to foster home in the toughest neighborhoods in the city, she managed to get a job at a local health care center, start a program to keep young people out of gangs, and shes on track to graduate high school with honors and go on to college. And jazmin, andoni, and shantell arent any different from any of you. They face challenges in their lives just like you do. In some cases theyve got it a lot worse off than many of you. But they refused to give up. They chose to take responsibility for their lives, for their education, and set goals for themselves. And i expect all of you to do the same.Thats why today im calling on each of you to set your own goals for your education -- and do everything you can to meet them. Your goal can be something as simple as doing all your homework, paying attention in class, or spending some time each day reading a book. Maybe youll decide to get involved in an extracurricular activity, or volunteer in your community. Maybe youll decide to stand up for kids who are being teased or bullied because of who they are or how they look, because you believe, like i do, that all young people deserve a safe environment to study and learn. Maybe youll decide to takebetter care of yourself so you can be more ready to learn. And along those lines, by the way, i hope all of you are washing your hands a lot, and that you stay home from school when you dont feel well, so we can keep people from getting the flu this fall and winter. But whatever you resolve to do, i want you to commit to it. I want you to really work at it.I know that sometimes you get that sense from tv that you can be rich and successful without any hard work -- that your ticket tosuccess is through rapping or basketball or being a reality tv star. chances are youre not going to be any of those things. The truth is, being successful is hard. You wont love every subject that you study. You wont click with every teacher that you have. Not every homework assignment will seem completely relevant to your life right at this minute. And you wont necessarily succeed at everything the first time you try.Thats okay. Some of the most successful people in the world are the ones whove had the most failures. J.k. rowlings -- who wrote harry potter -- her first harry potter book was rejected 12 times before it was finally published. Michael jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. He lost hundreds of games and missed thousands of shots during his career. But he once said, "i havefailed over and over and over again in my life. And thats why i succeed."These people succeeded because they understood that you cant let your failures define you -- you have to let your failures teach you. You have to let them show you what to do differently the next time. So if you get into trouble, that doesnt mean youre a troublemaker, it means you need to try harder to act right. If you get a bad grade, that doesnt mean youre stupid, it just means you need to spend more time studying. No ones born being good at all things. You become good at things through hard work. Youre not a varsity athlete the first time you play a new sport. You dont hit every note the first time you sing a song. Youve got to practice. The same principle applies to your schoolwork. You might have to do a math problem a few times before you get it right. You might have to read something a few times beforeyou understand it. You definitely have to do a few drafts of a paper before its good enough to hand in.Dont be afraid to ask questions. Dont be afraid to ask for help when you need it. I do that every day. Asking for help isnt a sign of weakness, its a sign of strength because it shows you have the courage to admit when you dont know something, and that then allows you to learn something new. So find an adult that you trust -- a parent, a grandparent or teacher, a coach or a counselor -- and ask them to help you stay on track to meet your goals. And even when youre struggling, even when youre discouraged, and you feel like other people have given up on you, dont ever give up on yourself, because when you give up on yourself, you give up on your country. The story of america isnt about people who quit when things got tough. Its about people who kept going, who tried harder, who loved their country too much to do anything less than their best. Its the story of students who sat where you sit 250 years ago, and went on to wage a revolution and they founded this nation. Young people. Students who sat where you sit 75 years ago who overcame a depression and won a world war; who fought for civil rights and put a man on the moon. Students who sat where you sit 20 years ago who founded google and twitter and facebook and changed the way we communicate with each other. So today, i want to ask all of you, whats your contribution going to be? what problems are you going to solve? what discoveries will you make? what will a president who comes here in 20 or 50 or 100 years say about what all of you did for this country? Now, your families, your teachers, and i are doing everything wecan to make sure you have the education you need to answer these questions. Im working hard to fix up your classrooms and get you the books and the equipment and the computers you need to learn. But youve got to do your part, too. So i expect all of you to get serious this year. I expect you to put your best effort into everything you do. I expect great things from each of you. So dont let us down. Dont let your family down or your country down. Most of all, dont let yourself down. Make us all proud.Thank you very much, everybody. God bless you. God bless america. Thank you.最新英文演讲稿篇三Leading members and judges, young friends: Hello, everybody! My name is 某某, and we are pleased to be able to discuss the pursuit of excellence, dedication youth, this topic, I am going to talk about today is "willing to sacrifice, the fire ignited youth." 英文演讲稿(优秀4篇)经典英语演讲文章篇一Good morning, ladies and gentemen. This is Li Hua from Senior Three. I’m here today to share with you a good lesson from an overseas Chinese student living in Germany. It is a true story. After years of hard work, this Chinese student graduated with amazing academic achievements. Everyone thought he was going to get a good job easily and have a bright future. But to his disappointment, he was not even allowed the chance for an interview! The third time he was turned down, he couldn’t help telephoning the company to ask why they didn’t want him. The answer was simple, “We don’t hire dishonest people in Germany.”What was wrong you might wonder? The truth is, shortly aften he arrived in Germany, this clever student found that it was easy to skip buying subway tickets. So, to save money, he often went without a ticket. As a result, he had been caught without a ticket in the subway three times. From this story, we learn that we may get short-term benefits by dishonest means, but the truth will come out sooner or later and the cost is high. So remember: honest is the best policy. That’s all for my speech. 英语演讲稿材料范本1I have been in University for about one year. During my stay here, I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experience all tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.I am from Province, which is far away from here. I often miss my Mum, friends, and relatives in my hometown. However, I can't see them very often. So loneliness always keeps me company. I am sad that I can't be there with them.Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more free time,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societies clubs, and taking part-time s. Such activities not only make our life more colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The university is a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life. Our path in life will not always be smooth. Setbacks can't be avoided. Failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refused by a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us down. Sometimes we fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears.Drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. It's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. And you'll even feel excited after gulping down a glass. A college experience is part of growing up. We cry, smile, fall in love, get hurt, leave, learn and then we become a better person.University life is like drinking coke. I'm experiencing it. And I know, I enjoy it!英语演讲稿材料范本2I have a belief deep down within my heart that my future will be bright. My future will be bright with all my loving families. Whenever I am sad and down, I know they would hold my hands and warm my heart. My future will be bright with the belief in brighter days. Life doesn’t always play by rules, and we must face the fact that there are days that things could be better. But I have a belief which see me through the dark times.I have a belief that joys once lost can always be found.I have a belief that there is rainbows after every storm.I have a belief that in the long run, my efforts will give back as much as I give, without a doubt. This belief gives me hope that is as certain as sun when the world seems to be wearing a frown. It is a steady and joyful light in my life.It is a blessing I continue to count on through the years. It is a light that will shine in me until the end of time.It is a treasure a million times more valuable than the ones some people spend a lifetime trying to find. Now, m dear friends, carry the sun inside you, and reach out for the dreams that guide you where you want to go. You have what it takes to make your path of succe. You have the courage and strength to see things through. You have the smile that willguide you to the beautiful tomorrows. So, with so much to be thank for, I believe that my future will be bright, and I believe that our future will be bright!英语演讲稿材料范本3To me March 28th was a lucky day. It was on that particular evening that I found myself at central stage, in the spotlight. Winning the 21st Century·Ericsson Cup Seventh National English Speaking Competition is a memory that I shall treasure and one that will surely stay.More important than winning the Cup is the friendship that has been established and developed among the contestants, and the chance to communicate offstage in addition to competing onstage. Also the competition helps boost public speaking in China, a skill hitherto undervalued. For me, though, the competition is a more personal experience. Habitually shy, I had been reluctant to take part in any such activities. Encouraged by my friends, however, I made a last-minute decision to give it a try. In the course of preparation I somehow rediscovered myself, a truer me.I found that, after all, I like communicating with other people; that exchanging views can be so much fun—and so much rewarding, both emotionally and intellectually; that public speaking is most effective when you are least guarded; and that it is essential to success in every walk of life.At a more practical level, I realized knowing what you are going to say and how you are going to say it are equally important. To take the original ideas out of your head and transplant them, so to speak, to that of others, you need to have an organized mind. This ability improves with training.Yet there should not be any loss or addition or distortion inthe process. Those ideas that finally find their way into another head need to be recognizably yours. Language is a means to transmit information, not a means to obstruct communication. It should be lucid to be penetrating. In China, certain public speaking skills have been unduly emphasized. Will it really help, we are compelled to ask, to bang at the podium or yell at the top of your lungs, if you have come with a poorly organized speech, a muddled mind, and unwillingness to truly share your views?Above all, the single most important thing I learnt was that as a public speaker, you need to pay attention, first and foremost, to the content of your speech. And second, the structure of your speech: how one idea relates and progresses to another.Only after these come delivery and non-verbal communication: speed control, platform manner, and so on. Pronunciation is important, yet of greater importance is this: Is your language competent enough to express your ideas exactly the way you intend them to be understood?I was informed afterwards that I was chosen to be the winner for my appropriately worded speech, excellent presence and quick-witted response. In so remarking, the judges clearly showed their preference: they come to listen for meaningful ideas, not for loose judgments, nor easy laughters. Some contestants failed to address their questions head on. Some were able to, but did not know where to stop—the dragging on betrayed their lack of confidence. The root cause was that they did not listen attentively to the questions. Or they were thinking of what they had prepared.英语演讲稿材料范本4As I said in my speech, It is vitally important that we youngpeople do more serious thinking ... to take them [issues like globalization] on and give them honest thinking is the first step to be prepared for both opportunities and challenges coming our way. We need to respond honestly.A competition like this draws talented students from all over the country. And of course, I learnt more things than just about public speaking. Since in the final analysis, public speaking is all about effective communication. And this goes true for all communications, whatever their setting. And the following is the final version of my speech:Thirty years ago, American President Richard Nixon made an epoch-making visit to China, a country still isolated at that time. Premier Zhou Enlai said to him, Your handshake came over the vastest ocean in the world—twenty-five years of no communication. Thirty years since, China and America have exchanged many handshakes. The fundamental implication of this example is that the need to communicate across differences in culture and ideology is not only felt by the two countries but by many other nations as well.As we can see today, environmentalists from different countries are making joint efforts to address the issue of global warming, economists are seeking solutions to financial crises that rage in a particular region but nonetheless cripple the world economy, and politicians and diplomats are getting together to discuss the issue of combating terrorism. Peace and prosperity has become a common goal that we are striving for all over the world. Underlying this mighty trend of global communication is the echo of E. M. Forsters words Only connect! With the IT revolution, traditional boundaries of human society fall away. Our culture, politics, society and commerce arebeing sloshed into one large melting pot of humanity. In this interlinked world, there are no outsiders, for a disturbance in one place is likely to impact other parts of the globe. We have begun to realize that a world divided cannot endure.China is now actively integrating into the world. Our recent entry to the WTO is a good example. For decades, we have taken pride in being self-reliant, but now we realize the importance of participating in and contributing to a broader economic order. From a precarious role in the world arena to our present WTO membership, we have come a long way.But what does the way ahead look like? In some parts of the world people are demonstrating against globalization. Are they justified, then, in criticizing the globalizing world? Instead of narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor, they say, globalization enables the developed nations to swallow the developing nations wealth in debts and interest. Globalization, they argue, should be about a common interest in every other nations economic health. We are reminded by Karl Marx that capital goes beyond national borders and eludes control from any other entity. This has become a reality. Multinational corporations are seeking the lowest cost, the largest market, and the most favourable policy. They are often powerful lobbyists in government decision-making, ruthless expansionists in the global market and a devastating presence to local businesses.英语演讲稿材料范本5For China, still more challenges exist. How are we going to ensure a smooth transition from the planned economy to a market-based one? How to construct a legal system that is sound enough and broad enough to respond to the needs of a dynamicsociety? How to maintain our cultural identity in an increasingly homogeneous world? And how to define greatness in our rise as a peace-loving nation? Globalization entails questions that concern us all.Like many young people my age in China, I want to see my country get prosperous and enjoy respect in the international community. But it seems to me that mere patriotism is not just enough. It is vitally important that we young people do more serious thinking and broaden our mind to bigger issues. There might never be easy answers to those issues such as globalization, but to take them on and give them honest thinking is the first step to be prepared for both opportunities and challenges coming our way. This is also one of the thoughts that came to me while preparing this speech.。
