The air sample passes four (4) sets of ultrasonic flow sensors before being passed through the Intelligent Filter. The Intelligent Filter incorporates an innovative flow splitting arrangement where a smaller unfiltered portion is passed through another set of ultrasonic flow sensors and a larger portion of the sample passes through a HEPA filtration medium. This arrangement dramatically reduces the amount of contaminants entering the aspirator and the detection chamber, thus extending detector life.Filter loading is constantly monitored which enables the detector to “intelligently” maintain the sensitivity, hence ensuringconsistent and reliable operation over time. This is achieved by comparing the readings from the four (4) sets of ultrasonic flow sensors at the detector air inlets to the readings from that in the unfiltered path and measuring the split of the airflow ratio as the filter load changes. The filtered and unfiltered portions are recombined as they exit the Intelligent Filter. A portion of the recombined air sample is then passed through the sub-sampling probe (inertial separator) and secondary filter. This ensures that larger dust particles are less likely to pass through the probe and filter arrangement, hence they are exhausted out of the detector. This configuration minimizes nuisance alarms caused by larger dust particles and extends detection chamber life. A third filter within the detection chamber assembly delivers a clean air barrier which protects the optical surfaces from contamination, further extending detector life and ensuring absolute calibration. The detection chamber uses a stable, highly efficient laser light source and unique sensor configuration to achieve optimum response to a wide range of smoke types. The presence of smoke in the detection chamber creates light scattering which is detected by the very sensitive sensor circuitry and then converted to an alarm signal. The status of the detector, all alarms, service and fault events, are monitored and logged with time and date stamps. Status reporting can be transmitted via relay outputs and across VESDAnet (VN version only).Supply Voltage 18-30 VDCPower Consumption 10 W quiescent, 10.5 W with alarm (max)Current Consumption 415 mA quiescent, 440 mA with alarm (max)Fuse Rating 1.6 ADimensions (WHD)426.5 mm x 316.5 mm x 180 mm (16.8 in x 12.5 in x 7.1 in)Weight6.035 kg (13.3 lbs)Operating ConditionsTested to -10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F)Recommended Detector Ambient: 0°C to 39°C Sampled Air: -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F) Humidity: 10% to 95% RH, non-condensing Sampling Network Maximum area of Coverage 2,000 m 2 (21,520 sq.ft) Minimum total airflow: 40 l/m Minimum airflow per pipe: 20 l/mMaximum Pipe LengthsTotal Pipe Length: 360 m (1,181 ft)Maximum Single Pipe Length: 120 m (394 ft)Computer Design Tool ASPIREPipe Internal Diameter 15 mm - 21 mm (9/16”–7/8”) External Diameter 25 mm (1”)Relays 5 Relays rated 2 A @ 30 VDCFire (NO), Fault (NC), Configurable (NO)IP Rating IP66Cable Access 4 x 25 mm (1”) cable entriesCable Termination Screw Terminal blocks 0.2–2.5 sq mm (30–12 AWG)Sensitivity Range 0.005% - 20.0% obs/m (0.0015% - 6.25% obs/ft)Threshold Setting RangeAlert: 0.05%-1.990% obs/m (0.016%-0.6218% obs/ft) Action: 0.1%-1.995% obs/m (0.031%-0.6234% obs/ft) Fire1: 0.15 %-2.0% obs/m (0.047% - 0.625% obs/ft) Fire2: 0.155 % - 20.0% obs/m (0.05% - 6.25% obs/ft)* * Limited to 4% obs/ft for ULSoftware FeaturesEvent log: Up to 18,000 events stored in FIFO formatSmoke level, user actions, alarms and faults with time and date stampAutoLearn: Min 15 minutes, Max 15 days. Part I Writing 参考2024年06月四级考试真题答案速查(第1套)范文:University libraries are dedicated learning spaces, tailored to meet the academic needs of students. Opening them to the public risks compromising this exclusive environment, potentially limiting student s’ access to resources and quiet study areas. Moreover, public access introduces security concerns, such as the potential for theft, vandalism, or harassment, which could create an unsafe atmosphere for students. While promoting literacy is admirable, it should not come at the cost of students’ learning opportunities or safety. Instead, universities can explore alternative ways to engage with the community, such as collaborating with local libraries to improve their services or organizing reading events that are open to the public. These initiatives can foster a culture of reading without compromising the integrity and safety of university libraries. In conclusion, university libraries should remain exclusive to students to protect their learning environment and safety. Alternative methods should be explored to meet the reading needs of the wider communityPart Ⅳ Translation 参考译文:Siheyuan is a kind of traditional Chinese residential building, which is characterized by houses built around a courtyard, enclosing the courtyard in the middle. Siheyuan is usually warm in winter and cool in summer, offering a comfortable environment, especially suitable for large families to live in. There are many types of Siheyuan in different parts of China, of which the most typical one is in Beijing. Nowadays, with the development of modern cities, the number of traditional Siheyuan has gradually decreased, but because of its unique architectural style, Siheyuan is of great significance to the inheritance of Chinese culture and the study of Chinese history.。
PQEHPF,an HPF-based pro-gramming library which allows to exploit the MIMD and SIMD capabilities offered by PQE-1,a Multimode ParallelArchitecture. Two different implementations of a well-known applica-tion using HPF and PQEHPF,an HPF-based pro-gramming library implemented at CNUCE-CNR to exploit the MIMD and SIMD capabilities offered by PQE-1,a mul-timode SHC Parallel Architecture[17][18].This paper is organized as follows:in Section2the PQE-1architecture is introduced;Section3presents some details of the PQEHPF,re-spectively.Finally,in Section5some conclusions and future work are presented.2.The PQE-1ArchitecturePQE-1is a prototype machine developed within the framework of the Italian PQE2000Project[5].Several PQE-1machines are currently operational in some Italian sites and,in particular,at the ENEA Research Center lo-cated in Casaccia(Rome). One of the main aims of the PQE2000Project is the real-ization of an architecture characterized by the hierarchical composition of several architectural styles. e.g.NUMA plus SMP at the outermost level,Processor in Memory(PIM)/Active Memory at the innermost level[5].PQE-1represents afirst step toward a complete PQE2000architecture.As sketched in Figure1a PQE-1 machine is composed by MIMD and SIMD layers.PQE-1connects a MIMD computer(Meiko CS-2)with more SIMD machines(Quadrics)[5].Each SIMD component is connected to one of the MIMD nodes by a HiPPI channel. Quadrics machines can have different numbers of nodes, connected in a toroidal topology.Every SIMD node has its own local memory for real variables, which can be ac-cessed by its nearest neighbors nodes, and a global memory for integer variables, shared among all the SIMD nodes.# Dual(100 MHz)HyperSPARC Figure1.PQE-1prototypeMany important parallel applications are composed of several cooperating sub-components,each of them adopting a particular form of parallelism(task, data, vector, dataflow, etc.).When the sub-components are coarse-grained and co-operate in asynchronous or loosely-synchronous way[10], this kind of applications can be more efficiently executed on a multimode SHC,like PQE-1.The advantage of exploit-ing both forms of parallelism is twofold. On the one hand the capability of integrating task and data parallelism in a single framework allows the number of addressable appli-cations to be enlarged. On the other hand, the exploitation of parallelism at different levels may significantly increase the performances of algorithms which,by means of HPF alone, would exploit only a limited amount of data paral-lelism[15][13][3].2.1.Programming the SIMD part of a PQE-1ar-chitectureTo program the SIMD components a Fortran dialect, called TAO[14],is available. The most relevant peculiar-ity of this language is related to the data distribution strat-egy[14].In fact, due to the SIMD machine’s architecture, integer variables are always shared among all the SIMD nodes, while real variables can have different values from one node to another. This implies that real arrays stored in a single SIMD node can be thought of as part of global bigger arrays obtained by joining together all the arrays lo-cal to the single node. But it is also possible to think ofthe local arrays as copies of the same array, with differ-ent values. So,for example,if it is declared an array of real elements,it is possible to think of a bigger array of number simdof processors copies of the same array. To execute a program on a Quadrics machine, the follow-ing actions need to be performed[1],each one correspond-ing to the Quadrics Operating System command indicated in brackets:allocate the machine(bootq)load executable code into memory(loadq)start the execution(runq)3.PQEHPF was implemented to allow programmers to exploit the SIMD resources of PQE-1from within their HPF programs, running on PQE-1’s MIMD part. With PQEHPF is a library of HPF extrinsic procedures which handle communications among the MIMD nodes by means of MPI functions, and interact with the SIMD resource by means of calls to the Quadrics Run-Time System[12].As was shown in Section2.1,usage discipline for the SIMD resource is rather strict, therefore PQEHPF lets the pro-grammer require resources specifying the number of SIMD nodes needed. For every successfully allocated machinea logic identifier is returned.Such identifier can be usedby the programmer to addresses all other operations to that specific SIMD machine. After allocation, the Quadrics exe-cutable program has to be loaded into the SIMD node mem-ories,so that TAO variables can be initialized and the pro-gram execution started on the SIMD resource. At this point the two parts of PQE-1may run concurrently, executing dif-ferent tasks. It is possible to know the program execution status on Quadrics nodes and, when it isfinished, read back the results. In Figure2is reported the pseudo-code of a general PQE HPF support must be explicitly initialized(PQEClose()).2program pqehpf_model include ’pqehpf.h’while (PQE_Status(ape) == RUNNING) do[hpf computation]end doret = PQE_Read(ape, a_hpf, a_tao)[...]call PQE_Close()end program[...]call PQE_Init()ret = PQE_Load(ape, ’tao_prog’)ret = PQE_Write(ape, a_hpf, a_tao)ret = PQE_Run(ape)ape = PQE_Processors(PQE_QH1)! Allocate 128 SIMD nodes! Load a program into SIMD memory ! Write to SIMD nodes memories ! Start execution on SIMD! Read from SIMD nodes memories ! Release PQE_HPF! The two machines run together ! Initialize PQE_HPFFigure 2.Pseudo-code of a general PQEHPFPQEProcessors()to allo-cate a SIMD resource,or PQEWrite()or PQEProcessors(),which returns an integer, used to address all the PQEHPF provides a natural view,in the sense of HPF,of all the strictly non-parallel operations such as Quadrics sys-tem calls.Communication functionsMore complicated problems arise when data are written to -or read from -the SIMD node memories. The PQEWrite()and PQEComm (ape, atao,PQE Comm can be either PQE Write .ape is the SIMD machine logic identifier,as returned by PQE hpf and atao is the SIMD nodes local variable, while aMODE=PQEMODE ,determines the kind ofdata distribution. When PQEBROADCAST then the HPF variable ahpf and aPQE SLICEMD,which states that atao, multiplied by the number of SIMD nodes(see Figure4).node 1node 2MIMD part SIMD partFigure4.An example of data distribution forPQE SLICEMD.In both cases,to implement the Communication Func-tion,it is necessaryfirst to determine the correct mapping between the MIMD and the SIMD nodes, since data might be(and in general are)distributed differently, and then to perform an appropriate number of basic-sends.By basic we mean a call to the Quadrics system function that actu-ally writes on the SIMD memories.Of course there are different possibilities to handle data mapping and actual writing. The most relevant are sck-etched in the following.Suppose we have elements stored in atao in the TAO pro-gram.We adopt the following simplified linear model to describe communication times:(1) where is the channel startup time and is the time needed to send one word along the channel. We can have three possible solutions.Case1Collect all the elements in node root and per-form only one basic-send of a message whose length is.In the worst case we have MIMD-MIMD communications and only one MIMD-SIMD commu-nication.For thisfirst solution, the total time spent in sending words, distributed on the MIMD nodes,to the SIMD part, can be written as(2)where indexes and refer to MIMD-MIMD and MIMD-SIMD communications,respectively.Case2Compute the intersections between the data present on every MIMD node and the slice of SIMD nodes where these data have to be written. In this way MIMD-MIMD communications are again, but the number of messages of one word sent to the SIMD nodes is also. The total communication time in this case is(3) Case3Redistribute block-wise the data on the MIMD nodes. In this way every MIMD node has to write a contiguous block of data to a slice of SIMD nodes. This can be done in operations for redistribu-tions and operations to send-long mes-sages.In this caseHPF communication fuc-tions.On the available PQE-1prototype,there is no HiPPI channel and the two components are connected via trans-puter links. In order to have an experimental mea-sure of and,we plotted execution times for PQEHPF,as a function of the size of the message com-pared with the cost of communicating the same data using the Quadrics Run-Time support.Figure7highlights that the difference between the two curves is negligible for message sizes greater than2kbytes.4.An application from physics:the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam modelIn the by the size of the SIMD node local memory.Values for theparameters are,,,.of a system with many degrees of freedom. It is a numer-ically intensive problem since it involves the solutions ofa very high number of partial differential equations. The algorithm used for this problem, was implemented both in HPF and PQE(5)with periodic boundary conditions .For such systems the time needed to reach the parallelism are needed.7The PQE-1architecture could thus be suited for a wider class of problems than the MIMD or SIMD parts alone are.6.AcknowledgmentsThis work was founded in the framework of the
