8-3-1雅思写作范文题目:(假设题目是关于现代科技对人们社交生活的影响,支持观点为现代科技改善了人们的社交生活)In this day and age, technology has become an inescapable part of our lives, and it has brought about a significant transformation in the way we socialize.Paragraph 1: Introduction.Well, you know, when we think about how things were in the past and how they are now, it's like night and day. Long ago, people had to rely onsnail mail or actually going to someone's house to have a chat. But now, with just a click or a tap on our smartphones or computers, we can connect with people all over the world. It's like having a magic portal in our pockets. So, I firmly believe that modern technology has done wonders for our social lives.Paragraph 2: Main Point 1 Easier and Faster Communication.First off, technology has made communication a piece of cake. Take instant messaging apps like WhatsApp or WeChat, for example. You can send a message to your friend on the other side of the planet, and they can read it within seconds. It's not like the old days when you had to wait weeksfor a letter to arrive. And video calls! Oh my goodness, they are amazing. You can see your loved ones' faces, their expressions, and it feels almost like you're in the same room. My grandma, who lives far away, loves it when we have a video call with her. She says it makes her feel close to us even though we're miles apart. It's like technology has shrunk the world, and our social circles have expanded because of it.Paragraph 3: Main Point 2 Connecting with Like minded People.Another cool thing is that technology helps us find people who sharethe same interests. There are all kinds of social media platforms andonline groups. Let's say you're really into knitting. You can join aknitting group on Facebook or Reddit, and suddenly, you're chatting with dozens of other knitters from different countries. You can exchange patterns, tips, and stories. It's a whole new level of socializing. I havea friend who is a huge fan of a really old school band. Through the Internet, he found a community of fans, and they even organize meet ups now. Without technology, he would have never known that there were so manypeople out there who love the same band as he does.Paragraph 4: Main Point 3 Breaking Down Barriers.Technology also breaks down social barriers. In the past, it might have been difficult for someone with a disability to go out and socialize in the traditional sense. But now, they can use technology to connect with others. For example, there are special apps that help the visually impaired use social media. And for shy people, online communication can be a great starting point. They can express themselves more freely without thepressure of face to face interaction at first. It gives everyone an equal chance to be part of the social scene.Paragraph 5: Conclusion. All in all, modern technology has been like a friendly genie for our social lives. It has made communication easier, helped us find new friends with similar hobbies, and removed many of the obstacles that used to standin the way of socializing. So, instead of being all doom and gloom about how technology might be isolating us, we should celebrate how it hasbrought us all closer together in so many different ways.。
雅思8分作文范文(优选八篇)5雅思8分作文范文(篇一)In many countries, the number of elderly people is increasing fast. To what extent do the disadvantages outweigh the advantages?Nowadays, owning to the improvement of living condition(这里习惯用复数), people can live much longer than before, which gives rise to the fast increasing number of elderly people. Some hold that this situation will result in a series of problems, such as social burden, population expansion and so on. While others insist that it agrees the development of modern society and brings many advantages. For my part, I take the latter side with(用for) the following reasons:(74words)点评:开头稍微写的有点长,不过内容写的还不错。
Firstly, elder people(一会儿elderly people,一会儿又elder people,这不是自相矛盾么) are the fortune of our society. They have enough experiences and capabilities which are badly lacked and needed for our youth when dealing with all sorts of problems, they can still do well in their jobs. Especially(前面应该用逗号,然后这里小写) in some professions, such as teacher, doctor, scientist and so on, sometimes (前面应该用句号,然后这里大写)age means the authority and ability. When you see a doctor, do you prefer an elderly doctor with grey hair or a youth without mustache? (77words)Secondly, elder people(同上) are the happiness of our society. Increasing number of elderly people is also the embodiment of our improving living quality, which shows our society run(应该第三人称单数)to the right and healthy direction, we(前面句号,这里大写) have more chance and time to serve our elderly people, and it’s the happiest time of all our life to accompany with(accompany是及物动词) our parents, grandparents and great grandparents. (63words)Finally, elderly people are the lubricant of our society. They have good temper and enough patients(应该是patience吧) to do anything, they can help us to intercede(它是不及物动词,而且主要用人作宾语) social disputes, and they make our society much more harmoniouswhich(前面较好有个逗号)makes for the construction of harmonious society.(43words)正文段综合点评:此篇是典型的5段式作文的写作,正文段构思出三个分论点来证明自己的观点,的确在构思上花了不少心思。

First of all,if petrol prices are increased,it will most likely lead to less petrol being used, which will make environmentalists happy.Of course, there will be less traffic and there will be less pollution, but I do not think that the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages. The falling price will increase the cost of anything that uses petrol in its production or in transport;in other words, everything from plastic bags to computers will become more expensive. This is likely to lead to slower economic growth as less is bought and produced.
According to the figure, the first step of obtaining water outdoors is to find a hole with green plants on its bottom.Next, remove the green plants in the middle and put a container there. Then, cover the hole with a plastic sheet and place two stones on both ends of it to secure its position. A third stone is laid on the middle of the plastic sheet so that the middle part is also the lowest part. When the sun shines on the green plants hole, water evaporates from these plants. The vapor rises up and then cools down to form water drops on the plastic sheet. When there is more and more water,it flows along the sheet to accumulate on the lowest part. Finally, water falls down into the container directly under the middle stone. Thus, water is collected successfully through evaporation from green plants。

题目Some people believe that it is better to live and work in a vertical city, where most people live and work in tall buildings. Others believe that it is better to live and work in a horizontal city, where there are fewer tall buildings. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.范文In recent years, there has been a growing debate about whether it is better to live and work in a vertical city or a horizontal city. While some people argue that tall buildings are the key to a successful urban environment, others believe that a more horizontal approach is preferable. In this essay, I will examine both views and give my own opinion. On the one hand, those who support the idea of a vertical city argue that tall buildings are essential for creating a vibrant and dynamic urban environment. They point out that tall buildings can accommodate a large number of people in a relatively small area, which can help to reduce congestion and improve the efficiency of transportation systems. In addition, tall buildings can provide a range of amenities and services, such as shops, restaurants, and offices, which can create a sense of community and encourage social interaction. On the other hand, those who favor a horizontal city argue that tall buildings can be oppressive and isolating. They argue that a more horizontal approach, with fewer tall buildings and more open spaces, can create a more human-scale environment that is better suited to the needs of individuals and communities. They also point out that horizontal cities can be more sustainable, as they can incorporate green spaces and renewable energy sources, which can help to reduce the environmental impact of urban development. In my opinion, both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages, and the best approach depends on the specific context and needs of the city in question. In some cases, a vertical city may be the most appropriate approach, particularly in densely populated areas where space is at a premium. In other cases, a more horizontal approach may be preferable, particularly in areaswhere there is a need for more open spaces and a more human-scale environment. In conclusion, the debate about whether it is better to live and work in a vertical city or a horizontal city is a complex one, and there is no one-size-fits-all answer. Both approaches have their strengths and weaknesses, and the best approach depends on a range of factors, including the specific context and needs of the city in question. Ultimately, the key to creating a successful urban environment is to strike a balance between the two approaches, and to ensure that the needs of individuals and communities are at the heart of urban planning and development.总结本文的范文是一篇典型的雅思写作范文,它符合雅思写作的要求,包括清晰的结构、恰当的语言和合适的论证方式。
Trade and travel would be a lot easier with a single, global currency that we all use.Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Would a single currency cause any problems? It is clear to me that the idea of a single global currency is an excellent ideal to work towards. There can be no doubt that trade and travel would be vastly easier. On the other hand I believe that it would cause problems today. The benefits of a single currency can be seen with the use in Europe of the Euro. Whenever you are travelling between countries using the Euro, the problems of currency changing and exchange rates are history. Similarly business between countries using the Euros is so much easier; no more worrying about exchange rate risk and pricing. Everyon e‛s money is the same. The same thing is true with the US dollar. Most countries do not use the US dollar but it is accepted in many places. There are many countries that you can travel to and just take US dollars to use.At present though a global currency would be impossible. Firstly most countries would not accept the idea. Secondly all countries are in different economic states. Some are economically very strong and some are in a state of collapse with inflation ruining the economy. Such countries could not be brought into a world currency as it would cause massive financial instability worldwide. So it is clear that a global currency would indeed cause some serious problems. So, in conclusion I see a global currency as a future ideal but it will not happen in my lifetime. It would make trade and travel much easier but the problems it would cause nowadays would be insurmountable.我很清楚,一个单一的全球货币的想法是一个理想的工作。
小作文题目:The three pie charts below show the changes in annual spending by a particular UK school in 1981, 1991and 2001范文:The pie charts show how a school spent money, in percentage terms, in the years 1981, 1991and 2001, across five categories. The majority of spending in each year was on salaries. Teachers’ salaries accounted for 40% of spending in 1981. This increased to 50% in 1991, but dropped to 45% in 2001. Salaries for other workers accounted for 28% of spending in 1981, 22% in 1991 and 15% in 2001, demonstrating a constant fall.Spending on resources such as books and on furniture and equipment took up 30% of spending in 1981 – 15% each. By 1991, spending on resources had risen to 20% whilst spending on furniture and equipment had fallen dramatically to only 5%. By 2001, spending on resources had more than halved (in percentage terms) to 9% whereas spending on furniture and equipment had risen relatively substantially to 23%.Finally, spending on insurance rose from 2% in 1981 to 3% in 1991 and thereafter to a more significant 9% of the total in 2001.In summary, relative spending in all five categories changed a lot, with spending on teachers’ salaries being the largest portion.大作文题目:Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.范文1——不同意题目的说法In this essay, I shall say why I believe technology has had largely negative effects on the way people interact with each other. The main technology that people use to create relationships nowadays is the Internet. This can be used in a variety of ways, notably by joining social networking sites or dating sites. It often seems that such websites encourage people to form friendships based on little information and on information which may not be true. For example, a website might recommend that two people become friends on the basis of the fact that they both like a particular film. The suggestion is that the people both like this film, therefore they both like the same films generally and/or have the same interests. If the information provided by website users is false (for example gender or age), a face- to- face friendship is very unlikely and the ‘friendship’ is likely to remain online only.I think that television has also affected the types of relationships people make, by dramatising certain types of relationships (for example on soap operas), and suggesting that these are the ones that are important in the real world and/ or that these are the relationships people should copy. Some people seem to think that they must make their lives as dramatic as those depicted on television, otherwise their lives will be dull. The constant need for drama can certainly have an effect on a person’ s relationships with others. To conclude, I think that technology has provided people with new ways to form relationships, but that the results have usually been negative, particularly compared to face- to- face communication and relationship creation.范文2——同意题目的说法I think that technology has largely affected types of relationships between people in a positive way and shall outline my reasons in this essay. Most importantly, in my opinion, technology has enabled people to stay in contact with each other more closely. People can use the Internet and mobile phones to speak to each other and send information to each other. Moreover, this information can be in the form of pictures or videos. Thus, even if people are far from each other, they can feel close. In the modern world, where people often live and work or study in different places – even different countries – to those where their family members are, this is very important to people. In this way, technology helps people to maintain existing relationships.Secondly, technology has allowed people to become friends with others who they would normally not be able to make friends with. In the past, people might have had pen friends in other countries, but now, thanks to social networking websites, people can easily connect with those who have similar interests. It is true that these relationships might not be very strong, but they can develop if the friends use them as the basis for forming closer friendships, for example if they visit each others’ countries. The fact that most of the relationships created on social networking sites are not strong does not mean that such sites are worthless. In conclusion, I am generally positive about the effects technology has had on relationships of different types, because it helps people to make friends and to maintain relationships.。
剑8 1-1The pie chart below shows the main reasons why agricultural and land becomes less productive. Th table shows how these causes affected thress regions of the world during the 1990s.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. The pie chart shows that there are four main causes of farmland becoming degraded in the world today. Globally 65% of degradation is caused by too much animal grazing and tree clearance, constituting 35% and 30% respectively. A further 28% of global degradation is due to over-cultivation ofcrops. Other causes account for only 7% collectively. These causes affected different regions differently in the 1990s, with Europe having as much as 9.8% of degradation due to deforestation, while the impact of this on Oceania and North America was minimal, with only 1.7% and 2% of land affected respectively. Europe with the highest overall percentage of land degraded(23%),also suffered from over-cultivation(7.7%) and over-grazing(5.5%). In contrast, Oceania had 13% of degraded farmland and this was mainly due to over-grazing(11.3%). North America had a lower proportion of degraded land at only 5%, and the main causes of this were over-cultivation(3.3%) and , to lesser extent,over-grazing(1.5%).Overall, it is clear that Europe suffered more from farmland degradation than the other regions, and the main causes there were deforestation and over-cultivation.剑8 1-2Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Other, however, believe that school is the place to learn this.Discuss both these views and given your own opinion.A child’s education has never been about learning information and basic skills only. It has always included teaching the next generation how to be good members of society. Therefore , this cannot be the responsibility of the parents alone. In order to be a good member of any society the individual must respect and obey the rules of their community and share their values. Educating children tounderstand the need to be obey rules and respects others always begins in the home and is widely though to be the responsibility of parents. They will certainly be the first to help children learn what is important in life, how, they are expected to behave and what role they will play in their world. However learning to understand and share the value system of a whole society cannot be achieved just in the home. Once a child goes to school, they are entering a wider community where teachers and peers will have just as much influence as their parents do at home. At school, children will experience working and living with people from a whole variety of background from the wider society. This experience should teach them how to co-operate with each other and how to contribute to the life of their community. But to be a valuable member of any community is not like learning a simple skill. It is something that an individual goes on learning throughout life and it is the responsibility of every member of a society to take responsibility for helping the younger generation to become active and able members of that society.剑8 2-1The three pie charts below show the changes in annual spending by a particular UK school in 1981,1991 and 2001.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. The charts show how much a UK school spent on different running costs in three separate years 1981,1991 and 2001.In all three years, the greatest expenditure was on staff salaries. But while other workers salaries saw a fail from 28% in 1981 to only 15% of spending in 2001,teachers pay remained the biggest cost reaching 50% of total spendingin 1991 and ending at 45% in 2001.Expenditure on resources such as books had increased to 20% by 1991 before decreasing to only 9% by the end of the period. In contrast, the cost of furniture and equipment saw an opposite trend. This cost decreased to only 5% of total expenditure in 1991 but rose dramatically in 2001 when it represented 23% of the school budget. Similarly, the cost of insurance saw a rising trend, growing from only 2% to 8% by 2001.Overall, teachers’ salaries constituted the largest cost to the school, and while spending increased dramatically for equipment and insurance, there were corresponding drops in expenditure on things such as books on other wokers’salaries.剑8 3-2Increasing the price of petrol is the best way to solve growing traffic and pollution problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree? What other measures do you think might be effective? There is no doubt that traffic and pollution from vehicles have become huge problems, both in cities and on motorways everywhere. Solving these problems is likely to need more than a simple rise in the price of petrol. While it is undeniable that private car use is one of the main causes of the increase in traffic and pollution.higher fuel costs are unlikely to limit the number of drivers for long. As this policy would also affect the cost of public transport, it would be very unpopular with everyone who needs to travel on the roads. But there are various other measures that could be implemented thatwould have a huge effect on these problems.I think to tackle the problem of pollution, cleaner fuels need to be developed. The technology is already available to produce electric cars that would be both quieter and cleaner to use. Persuading manufacturers and travellers to adopt this new technology would be a more effective strategy for improving are quality, especially in cities. However, traffic congestion will not be solved by changing the type of private vehicle people can use. To do this, we need to improve the choice of public transport services available to travellers. For example, if sufficient sky trains and underground train systems were built and effectively maintained in our major cities, then traffic on the roads would be dramatically reduced. Long-distance train and coach services should be made attractive and affordable alternatives to driving your own car for long journeys. In conclusion, i think that long-term traffic and pollution reductions would depend on educating the public to use public transport more, and on governments using public money to construct and run efficient systems.。

Other factors caused 7% of land degradation. The table shows that, during the 1990s, 23% of the land in Europe was degraded, more than in Oceania (13%) and far more than in North America (5%). In Oceania, over-grazing was primarily responsible for land degradation, with deforestation accounting for far less and none caused through over-cultivation. In North America, over-cultivation was the main reason, with about a third of land degradation being caused by over-grazingand very little being caused by deforestation. In Europe, deforestation was responsible for about 40% of the land degradation, over-cultivation about 30% and over-grazing about 20%.To summarise, land degradation was due to three main factors and these factors differed in proportion in different regions.(168 words)饼形图和图表反映了 20 世纪 90 年代全世界土地的退化情况——前者是针对世界范围, 后者是针对三个不同的区域。
