本课书是一节词汇句型课，是第四单元的第二课，教学内容是January和February的节日和活动，同时也是通过在具体语境中的集中练习和运用，强化和巩固本单元第一课所学核心语言。
语法涉及序数词的使用方法以及现在进行时的表达方式be + doing。
二、学情分析本节课的授课对象是小学六年级学生，他们经过三年的英语学习已经有了一定的语言积累，具备初步的口语表达能力。
学生在本单元第一课学习过一些January 和February的节日和活动，如New Year’s Day、Spring Festival、have a holiday、have dumplings、have rice cakes等。
通过第一课的学习，学生能够正确理解和朗读本课的核心词汇、词组：January、February、the first month of the year、the second month of the year。
同时，学生在五年级时对现在进行时中动词-ing形式的发音以及构成规律已经有所了解。
但对本课初次出现的一些活动make a snowman、skate、shop in the supermarket、celebrate Spring Festival，在理解和朗读上存在困难，需要在情景中借助图片等理解，并需要教师指导发音；对于本课时首次出现的语法知识：序数词的使用方法，也需要教师加以讲解练习。
三、教学目标1. 语言知识（1）能够熟练、规范书写单词：January、February；能够正确听、说、认读词语：the first month of the year、the second month of the year、New Year’s Day、Spring Festival；能够正确听、说、认读句子：January is the first month of the year. February is the second month of the year.(2) 能够看图，运用现在进行时They are ...谈论1月和2月的主要活动。

2) 趣味接龙游戏：谈论新年和春节常开展哪些庆祝活动，教师说首句，学生接着往下说。
2. 新课呈现(Presentation)1) 教师引导学生回答开放性问题How do you celebrate New Year’s Day?展示图片，引出话题：It is very cold in January. It often snows. What are the children doing in the picture? 利用挂图和肢体语言，让学生理解skating的意思。

一、教学内容与分析
1. Just practise
在语境中用句子，在句子中用词语，通过在具体语境中的集中练习和运用，强化和巩固上节课所学的核心语言。
本课要求正确听、说、认读的单词有：Tree Planting Day, Easter.
本课要求正确听、说、读、写的单词有：March, April, Tree, glass, stop, egg.
本课要求听、说、认读的句子有：March is the third month of the year. April is the fourth month of the year.
2. Just write
本部分要求掌握单词March, April, tree, glass, stop, egg的音形义，同时要求书写规范。
3. Let’s talk
本部分要求看图谈论3、4月份的主要活动。
核心语言包括：plant trees, take photos, get colourful Easter eggs, go on a trip等。
4. Let’s chant
本歌谣的目的是使学生在欢快的节奏中体验学习的快乐，通过歌谣培养语感和节奏感，熟悉字母组合al的发音。
二、课前准备
1. 准备与本课内容相关的评价工具，奖励课堂表现出色的学生。
2. 在黑板上准备好四线格，以便板书核心词语。
3. 准备相关教学图片。
三、教学步骤与建议
1. 热身/复习(Warm-up / Revision)
1) 播放歌曲，让学生跟着欢快的歌曲一起进入愉快的学习状态。
2) 趣味猜谜游戏：教师或一位同学说出自己喜欢的节日活动，让其他学生猜猜是哪个节日。
比如老师说：It’s on March 12th. People can plant trees on this day.学生猜：It is Tree Planting Day.
2. 新课呈现(Presentation)
1) 快速问答游戏：教师问学生What is the first month of the year? What is the second month of the year?看谁说得最快。
引导学生说出句子：March is the third month of the year. April is the fourth month of the year.教师示范板书并领读。
2) 展示图片，利用挂图和肢体语言，帮助学生理解taking a photo, planting trees 的意思。
3) 利用同样的方法，借助图片和肢体动作帮助学生理解get colourful Easter eggs, go on a trip等词语的含义。
4) 展示图片，播放录音，让学生模仿跟读。
5) 四段话全部理解后读，学生再完整听录音并跟读，注意语音、语调的模仿。
3. 趣味操练(Practise)
1) 表演游戏：教师准备一些表示动作的卡片，如take photos, plant trees, go on a trip, get colourful Easter eggs等，让一位学生上来抽，抽到的同学不能出声，只能用肢体语言表演，学生拿出自己的图片或照片，选择自己喜欢的月份。
把图片贴在相应的月份上，一边贴一边用英语说明，例如：I like April. I can get colourful Easter eggs.
3) Let’s read and chant:播放歌谣录音，让学生听音体会英语的韵律和节奏。
跟读模仿语调，引导学生找到更多含字母组合al的单词，开展小组竞赛。
4. 语言运用(Language use)
情景设置：中美同学分享不同国家的节日及活动有哪些异同。
语言支持：
S1: Look! This is my photo.
S2: What festival is it?
S1: It’s Easter. It’s in March or April.
S2: What do you do?
S1: We make Easter eggs. Do you do that?
S2: No. We often plant trees in April.
5. 课堂评价(Assessment)
1) 课堂教学过程中的评价。
(1) 注意教学中对语言知识的掌握和语言技能的发展进行评价。
(2) 注意对学生的学习兴趣、合作能力及运用语言的能力进行评价。
引导学生对学习行为进行自我评价，将学生自评、小组互评、家长评价与学习内容结合起来。
(3) 指导学生将自己在本课的表现用A(优秀)，B(良好)，C(继续努力)记录在评价表格内。
(4) 记录学生的课堂表现。
2) 指导学生完成《活动手册》本课的活动和练习并进行评价。
(1) 听录音、根据录音内容回答问题，检测学生对本课基础词语和句子的掌握。
(2) 听录音、根据录音内容写月份并把对应的活动和图片连线，检测学生的句子理解和月份书写能力。
(3) 要求学生画图并综合运用所学知识自由表达。
(4) 阅读短文回答问题，复习本课所学核心语言，培养阅读能力。
6. 拓展活动(Extended activities)
查阅资料，了解3、4月份的其他节日，如三八妇女节，清明节等。
也可以了解一下3、4月份其他国家还有哪些节日。
做笔记，下节课与同学交流。
