You can agree or disagree, completely or partially to the above statement. But whatever position you take, you should give sound supporting reasons. At the end of your composition you are required to draw your own conclusion.Wealth has always been what some people long for. It is true that most of them try to acquire wealth by means of honest labor. Their efforts contribute to the welfare of the society and at the same time to the accumulation of their wealth, and hence to their happiness. There is no doubt that wealth brings happiness, especially in the modern society. Various kinds of up-to-date household appliances, latest fashions and recreations make their appearance with each passing day. All this makes our life more comfortable and colorful. Therefore, without money we cannot turn admiration into reality.Wealth, however, can also lead to disasters, if we have an inappropriate approach to it. Wealth may tempt weak-willed persons to be addicted to harmful habits, such as drug-taking and gambling, and result in their own ruin. Besides, a person may lose his reason and go astray if he intends only to seek wealth and indulges himself in leading a luxurious life. For example, there are some government officials who take advantage of their positions to take bribes from the people turning to them for help .Obviously, wealth may bring us disasters if we don’t take a proper attitude to it. In my opinion, on no account can we equate happiness with wealth. I also believe that one should never reckon only on wealth to achieve happiness.成人高考专升本英语作文篇6People have different ideas about this issue, Some people say that men are superior to women in ability because men are physically stronger, do most of the hard labor in the world and hold most important positions. Other people believe that women have the ability to compete with men. There have been many famous women state leaders and great scientists in the world. We should fully carry out th e principle “to each according to his work” so that the enthusiasm of both men and women for work can be fully aroused.成人高考专升本英语作文篇7Nowadays, unsafe foods can be found, now and then, in the market, which has aroused a lot of public attention. It is reported that these foodstuff ranges from substandard milk powder, tainted/dyed steamed buns to pork with lean meat powder.Fake commodities are harmful in many ways. To begin with, it is a waste of resource, especially in our country. Second, it has bad effect on the reputation of the real manufacturers and brings about moral Crisis. Above all, all that matters is food.people’s health and lives are severely threatened if someone buys some unsafe foodstuff.Measures should be take to deal with the problem. On the one hand , strict laws should be passed to punish the producers and the sellers. On the other hand, consumers should be told to distinguish the genuine goods from the false ones. At the same time, the government should strengthen the supervision of allaspects of food. I firmly believe this problem will be solved in the near future.成人高考专升本英语作文篇8Dear Sir,While I was on holiday in Hong Kong about a week ago, I bought a green blouse for 268 dollars in your shop, but there seems to be something wrong with it. When it is washed, the color runs. Now I can’t possibly wear it. It’s not my fault, so I’d like you to solve the problem for me. I insist you change it for another one for me or give me my money back. I think it’s better for you to make sure that everything in your shop is good. Then you will have more customers.I’m looking forward to your early reply.Sincerely,Li Hong成人高考专升本英语作文篇9Through the changes in the ways of making a living in a family over several generations, the cartoon aims at sounding a warning against man“s wasteful use of natural resources and emphasizing the urgent need to preserve these resources.Ever since man appeared on the earth, man“s survival has been heavily relied on nature. Almost everything we use in our everyday life comes from nature, ranging from the food we eat, the water we drink, to the wood which is turned into furiture. With the development of technology and population growth, the amount and range of materials used has increased at an alarming rate. However, natural resources are not inexhaustible. Some reserves are already on the brink of exhaustion and there is no hope of replacing them. The widespread water shortage is an example in point. If man continued to squander natural resourceswith no thought for the future, the later generations would end up selling sand, as is the case in the cartoon, and the whole world would be in a mess.Time is running out. It is up to us to take effective measures before the situation gets out of hand.成人高考专升本英语作文篇10My favourite movie isThe Bucket List. No wonder people often say: “ Even without stepping out of my house, I am well-informed of al that has been happening in the world.”We get all kinds of news from newspapers. Newspapers can tell us about various events, past and future, domestic and foreign. Besides, they can teach us a lot of useful things. In fact, everyone can find something he wants from newspapers, and everyone enjoys reading them everyday.Reading newspapers can widen our scope of knowledge. Not only they help us improve our reading ability but they can help us enhance our ideology. Because of all these benefits, I like reading newspapers. My Opinion of Today’s EducationI think one of the main problems with today’s education is that too much emphasis is placed on test scores. It has become the most important criterion for college enrollment. A student, however creative and intelligent, will not be admitted into a college if his total scores are just one point less than required. It is also one of the crucial factors either in job assignment or in employment competitions. The competition for high scores among students becomes intense. Students find themselves concentrating more on strategies to achieve high scores than on acquiring knowledge. They will play truant of some subsidiary course, skip over the substance which will not be tested on, even pump teachers for hints on upcoming exams. Teachers are apt to give their students high scores. As their job is judged mainly by the students’ performance in terms of scores, some teachers tend to set easy papers to test their students on or narrow down the scope of the exam. Some teachers even leak “accidentally” the exam questions or lower their criterion of scoring. As a result, the competition for high scores becomes so intense that it actually defeats academic goals of education.。
年成人高考专升本英语考试作文范文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Big Dream of Going to CollegeHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I have a really big dream that I want to tell you about. My dream is to go to college one day and get a great education! You might be wondering why a kid like me is already thinking about college. Well, I'll tell you. My parents didn't get to go to college when they were younger because it was too expensive for their families. But they have always told me how important it is to study hard and get a good education. They say that with a college degree, I can get a really cool job and make enough money to live a comfortable life.I see how hard my parents work at their jobs, and I want something different for myself when I grow up. I don't want to have to work at a job I don't enjoy just to pay the bills. With a college education, I can choose a career that I'm really passionate about. How awesome would that be?Of course, getting into college isn't easy. I know I'll have to work super duper hard in school from now until I graduate high school. I'll have to get excellent grades, join lots of clubs and activities, and become a well-rounded student. It will be a lot of work, but I'm ready for the challenge!Once I get to college, I'll be able to take classes on whatever subjects interest me the most. Maybe I'll study science and learn how to create things that can help make the world a better place. Or perhaps I'll become an artist or writer and use my creativity to inspire others. The possibilities are endless!Living on a college campus sounds like such an adventure too. I'll get to meet people from all over and make lifelong friends. We can stay up late studying together, go to the football games on the weekends, and experience so many new things. It will be awesome!Of course, the road to college won't be easy. My parents will have to save a lot of money to pay for my tuition and housing. I'll probably have to get a job to help pay for some of the costs too. But I know it will all be worth it in the end when I finally get to walk across that stage and receive my college degree. That's my big dream - to go to college and get an amazing education that will set me up for a bright future filled withopportunity. It's going to take a lot of hard work, determination, and sacrifice, but I'm ready. Dreams don't just happen, you have to make them happen through your actions. And that's exactly what I plan to do!Thank you for listening to my dream. I hope you'll chase yours too, whatever it may be. Study hard, work hard, and never stop believing in yourself. The future is ours to create!篇2My Dream of Going to UniversityHi there! My name is Li Ming and I'm 10 years old. I'm in 5th grade and I love learning new things every day at school. My favorite subjects are math and science because I like solving problems and doing experiments. I also really enjoy reading storybooks about kids going on adventures and using their imagination.Even though I'm still young, I've been thinking a lot about my future lately. I have a big dream that I hope will come true one day. My dream is to go to a great university and get a higher education degree! I know it won't be easy, but I'm going to work really hard to achieve my goal. There are a few reasons why I want to go to university so badly. First of all, I'd get to study subjects that I'm really interested in and passionate about. Maybe I'll major in something like engineering or computer science. I've always been curious about how machines and technology work. Or perhaps I'll study biology and learn all about different plants, animals, and the human body. The possibilities are endless!Another reason I dream of university is because I'll get to meet new people from all over the country and world. Making friends from different cultures and backgrounds seems so exciting. We could learn from each other and share our unique traditions and perspectives. I bet I'd make some lifelong best friends on campus. Most importantly though, getting a good education will prepare me for an amazing future career. If I study diligently, I could become a scientist who discovers an important new medicine. Or I might be an engineer who designs incredible skyscrapers or space rockets! With a university degree, I'll have the knowledge and skills to turn my wildest dreams into reality.I know the road ahead won't be simple. I'll have to work incredibly hard, especially to get high scores on the college entrance exam. But I'm ready for the challenge! My parents havebeen saving money to support my education dreams. And my teachers have been giving me great advice on how to study effectively.Sometimes I get a little nervous about the huge exams and decisions I'll face in the coming years. But then I remind myself that cathedral wise beings, such as my role models Bill Gates and Marie Curie, overcame lots of obstacles through perseverance and belief in themselves. As long as I stay focused and keep working with enthusiasm, I'm confident I'll make it to the university of my choice.Getting a higher education degree will open up so many new opportunities and possibilities for my future. I can't wait to walk onto that beautiful university campus one day! I'll treat every class, assignment, and experience as an exciting chance to grow my knowledge and skills. Maybe I'll even decide to pursue a graduate degree like a master's or PhD eventually.Well, those are some of my thoughts about my dream of going to university. It's going to take a whole lot of effort and commitment, but I know in my heart it will be worth it. I have big ambitions to learn as much as I can and make a positive impact on the world around me someday. Going to university will be an important first step in that journey. Wish me luck!篇3My Big Dream of Going to UniversityHi there! My name is Xinxin and I'm 10 years old. I'm in 5th grade at Sunshine Elementary School. Today I want to tell you about my big dream - going to a great university when I grow up! It's still a long way away, but I'm already getting ready. You might be wondering - why am I thinking about university already when I'm just a little kid? Well, my mom and dad didn't get to go to university themselves. They had to start working after finishing high school to help support their families. But they've always told me that getting a good education is super important. They said if you study hard, go to university and get a degree, you can get a really good job and have more opportunities in life.My parents didn't have that chance, but they want to make sure I do. That's why they are always encouraging me to work hard at school and dream big! I've decided that my big dream is to go to one of the very best universities in China, like Tsinghua or Peking University. But I know it won't be easy to get in...First, I have to be a really good student from an early age. My parents always remind me to pay attention in class, do all myhomework, and study hard for tests. They don't let me watch too much TV or play video games because they want me to focus on my schoolwork. Sometimes it's tough, but I know it's important if I want to get into an amazing university one day.I also need to score really well on the big test at the end of high school called the Gaokao. The Gaokao is seriously difficult - it covers absolutely everything you learned in middle school and high school. My older cousin took it last year and she said it was incredibly hard and stressful. But you have to ace the Gaokao to get into one of the top universities.Another thing that will help me get into a great university is doing well in English. China has over 1 billion people, so speaking and writing excellent English will allow me to work anywhere in the world someday. It will also help me read books and research from other countries. My English teacher says I'm a fast learner and she thinks I can become fluent if I keep practicing. That's why I'm already starting to prepare for the big national English exam that adults take to upgrade from a junior college degree to a 4-year university degree. The exam tests every part of English - reading, writing, speaking, and listening. It's supposed to be super difficult, kind of like the Gaokao but just for English.I'll have to write a long essay in English as part of the exam. My mom showed me some sample essay questions and they were pretty hard! Things like "What leadership qualities are most important in today's global business environment?" and "How can nations reduce pollution while continuing to grow economically?" Those are some really complex topics, especially for a kid like me.But my parents told me I need to start getting ready for that English exam now if I want to pass it easily later on. So a few times per week, I have to practice writing essays on different topics in English. Sometimes my mom or dad gives me a sample question and I have to write a full essay responding to it. Other times they just give me a general topic like "environmental protection" and I have to come up with my own thesis statement and supporting points. It's honestly pretty tough for me so far. It's hard to develop a clear thesis, organize all my points logically, and explain my ideas in detail...all in English! My English writing skills aren't perfect yet. But my parents say that's exactly why I need to practice now while I'm young. The more I practice, the better I'll get over time.I've also started reading more books, articles, and websites in English to build up my vocabulary and learn about different writing styles. My favorite English books are the Harry Potter series - I've read them all! From those books, I've learned lots of new English vocabulary words like "invisibility cloak", "broomstick", and "Quidditch". I still need to look up words in the dictionary sometimes, but I'm getting better at understanding longer texts in English. In addition to writing and reading practice, my parents also make me do lots of other English exercises. We listen to English podcasts in the car and I have to summarize what they were about. We watch movies and TV shows in English and then I have to describe the main plot and characters. Sometimes they just fire random English questions at me out of nowhere to see if I can respond quickly and smoothly. At first, all this extra English practice felt like a chore on top of my regular schoolwork. To be honest, I used to complain about it a lot. Writing long essays in English is hard and sometimes I just want to relax after school instead of doing more work! But now I've realized how important it is for achieving my dream of getting into a top university. My parents always tell me "Xinxin, we didn't have the chance to get a university degree. But we want you to have that opportunity so you can create an amazing future for yourself. If you work hard now, universities will be impressed by your English skills and you'll get to choose where you want to go." Hearing that motivation from them helps me keep practicing and improving bit by bit each day.I know I'm just a little kid and university is a long way off. I still have to work super hard in primary school, middle school, high school, and get a killer score on the Gaokao test. But my dream is to go to one of the most prestigious universities in China, like Tsinghua or Peking University. Getting prepared for that national English exam now is just my first step towards that big dream! In 10 or 15 years, I hope to be writing my university admission essay in perfect English. I'll talk about all the English practice I've done since elementary school - reading challenging books, writing essays every week, watching movies and shows, listening to podcasts, taking English classes, and maybe even living abroad for a while. I'll show them how passionate I am about English and learning. That's what will make me stand out from all the other applicants. Then after getting into an amazing university for my undergraduate degree, who knows what I'll do next? Maybe I'll go to graduate school or start my own company. Maybe I'll become a journalist, travelling the world and writing articles in English. Or perhaps I'll go into international business and work for a huge corporation that lets me use my English skills every single day. The possibilities will be endless! No matter what path I choose, a great university education will open so many doors for me. That's why I'm already working hard now to make sure my English is as strong as possible. University is my big dream, and I'm going to do whatever it takes to achieve it. Just you wait and see! Thanks for listening to my story. Study time calls, so I'd better get back to practicing my English writing now. Talk to you later!篇4My Big Dream of Going to UniversityHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I'm in the 5th grade at Sunny Hill Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about my huge dream of going to university when I grow up!Ever since I was a tiny kid, I've loved learning new things. My parents always read me lots of books and we'd talk about what Ilearned. Some of my favorites were picture books about animals, outer space, and far away countries. I was such a curious little girl, always asking "Why?" about everything! In kindergarten, I really looked up to my teacher Mrs. Roberts. She was so smart and could explain things in a way that made sense to me. I decided then that I wanted to be just like her someday - a person who knew absolutely everything and could teach others. Of course, now I know that nobody can literallyknowall things. But I still really admire teachers and professors who spend their lives learning and sharing knowledge. My oldest brother James is now a sophomore at the local university studying engineering. I went with my parents to move him into the dorms and got to see the whole campus. It was so cool! There were modern buildings with huge libraries and computer labs, grassy quads where students relaxed between classes, and even a Olympic-sized swimming pool. I loved the energy of all the young people going about their scholarly businesses. I could really picture myself there one day too.In elementary school, my favorite subjects are math, science, and English. I'm a total bookworm and my friends joke that you can always find me with my nose buried in a book. For my 10thbirthday, my parents gave me my very own electronic tablet so I can read ebooks anywhere I go now too. How awesome is that?I especially love learning about animals and nature. My dream is to become a marine biologist and study all the amazing creatures in the ocean. Can you imagine getting to scuba dive and observe whales, sharks, and colorful fish up close? How incredible! I'd travel the world's oceans doing research and working to protect the environment.Or maybe I'll become an astronomer and make new discoveries about distant galaxies, black holes, and the mysteries of the cosmos. The universe is so vast and there's still so much we have yet to understand about it. I find the night sky completely mesmerizing. I'll never get tired of gazing up at those twinkling stars through my telescope lens.Whatever field I go into, I know for sure that I want to get a university education. Attending lectures, doing research in lab, writing papers, belonging to academic clubs, making lifelong friends - that's my idea of the perfect life! The thought of being a college student just gives me butterflies. I can't wait for that challenge and the opportunity to learn at the highest level.Of course, getting into a good university won't be easy. I'll need to study really hard, get excellent grades, do well onentrance exams, participate in lots of extracurricular activities, and write a stellar application essay. But I'm aren't scared! With determination and passion for learning, I know I can make my dream come true.My parents always tell me that the most important thing is to never stop pursuing my curiosities and intellectual interests. They raised me to value education above all else. As long as I never lose my love of learning, they say I'll lead a rewarding life doing work I really care about. So that's my big dream - to one day walk across that university stage in a cap and gown, finally holding myhard-earned diploma in my hands. The world of higher education is calling me and I can't wait to answer! Maybe I'll even go on to get a master's degree or PhD someday. A girl can dream, right? For now, I need to focus on being the best student I can be right here at Sunny Hill Elementary. But I'll never lose sight of my ultimate goal to become a university scholar. This is my passion and life's purpose. With perseverance, I have no doubt that dream will become reality. Then watch out world, here comes Lily!篇5My Big English Test AdventureWow, I had the craziest experience last weekend! You see, my mom has been studying really hard to take this huge test called the national adult college entrance exam so she can get her bachelor's degree. She's already finished her associate's degree, but she wants to get an even bigger degree now. Mom says having a bachelor's degree will help her get an even better job.Anyway, Mom had to take this massive English test that was like 3 hours long! She was freaking out about it for weeks. She kept reading these thick textbooks and doing practice tests over and over again. I've never seen her study so hard for anything before. The night before the test, Mom made me promise to be really quiet in the morning so she could concentrate. I agreed, but I was a little nervous too because I knew how important this test was for her. What if I accidentally made noise and messed her up?The next morning, I woke up bright and early and tiptoed out to the kitchen to make myself some cereal, being supercareful not to clank the bowls together or anything. I turned on the cartoons with the volume way down low and just tried to be a perfect little mouse.Mom came out a little while later looking just as nervous as could be. Her hands were shaking as she made herself some coffee. "Morning sweetie," she said with a tight smile. "Thanks for being so quiet. I'm going to need all my brainpower today for this English test.""You're welcome, Mommy. Good luck on your test!" I gave her a big hug before she grabbed her backpack and headed out the door.I spent most of the day kicking around the house, watching TV and playing with my toys, trying not to think about Mom suffering through her mega English test. I couldn't imagine having to sit still for 3 whole hours, reading and writing in a language that's not my first. How could anyone's brain not turn to mush after that? Finally, after what felt like forever, I heard Mom's key turning in the lock. I ran to give her a huge hug as she stumbled inside, looking half-dead. "Mommy! You made it! How was the test? Was it ok? Did your brain survive?"Mom patted my head and gave me a weary smile. "It was...interesting," she said slowly. "The reading comprehension wasn't too bad, but oh boy, that essay section had me sweating. Trying to write a whole paper's worth of thoughts in proper academic English in just an hour? My hand was cramping up so bad by the end!"She flexed her fingers with a wince. "And don't even get me started on having to analyze the arguments in those listening passages. I thought my head was going to explode trying to absorb all those reasons and examples while taking notes."I just shook my head in amazement. "I don't know how you did it, Mom. You're like a superhero or something! I could never take a crazy test like that. Does this mean you'll get your bachelor's degree now?"Mom gave a little shrug. "Well, I sure hope so after all that effort! But we'll have to wait and see what my score is when the results come out in a couple months. For now though, I think I've had about all the English I can handle for a while." She ruffled my hair. "How about you and I go get some nice big ice cream sundaes to celebrate me surviving this ordeal?""Yes please!" I cheered, giving her another squeeze. My mom singlehandedly battled the biggest English test ever and lived to tell the tale. She's my hero!篇6My Big Important English Exam!Hi there! My name is Tommy and I'm going to tell you all about my super big important English exam that I took recently. It was the exam for adults who have already finished junior college but want to go on and get a full university degree. Pretty cool, right? You see, when I was younger, I didn't get very good grades in school. I really liked playing outside with my friends more than sitting in a classroom. And English was my worst subject of all! I could never remember how to conjugate verbs properly or use the right articles. My teachers would get so frustrated with me.But then I grew up and realized how important education is for getting a good job. I decided I wanted to become an accountant and help people with their taxes and finances. To do that though, I needed a university degree. The problem was that my junior college grades weren't high enough to get into a top university program. That's when I learned about the amazing opportunity for adults to take an exam to upgrade directly into university! I was super nervous because English had always been my weakest area. But I studied really really hard, doing practice tests over and over. Finally, the big day arrived for the exam. I double-checked that I had plenty of sharpened pencils and a fresh eraser. I barely slept the night before because I was so anxious! When I got to the test center, my palms were sweating like crazy. The first section was listening comprehension. We had to listen to recordings and answer questions about what we heard. That wasn't too bad since I had practiced those skills. Next up was reading comprehension which involved reading some passages and responding to queries about them. A bit trickier but I managed. Then came the writing section which mad me gulp! We had to write a short essay about an important development in modern society. My mind went blank at first, but eventually I settled on discussing the impact of the internet and smartphones. I tried my best to use proper grammar, vary my sentence structures, and include descriptive vocabulary. Whew! The final section was speaking, where we had to answer questions from a real person about different topics. I broke out in a sweat again, but reminded myself to stay calm and not freeze up. Somehow I pushed through and gabbed about my hobbies, dream career, and opinions on education reform. At last, the torturous four-hour exam was over! I was so relieved but also proud of myself for persevering through my long-time struggle with English. A few weeks later, the results came in the mail. I tore open the envelope with trembling hands...and I had passed! I actually scored pretty decently too, especially on the writing portion. Tears of joy filled my eyes. Thanks to my hard work and the amazing opportunity to take that big exam, my dream of becoming a university student is now a reality. Starting this fall, I'll be enrolled at a prestigious school studying accounting and business. Goodbye junior college, hello bachelor's degree! So yeah, that's the story of my crazy important English exam adventure. It was hard, like really really hard, but I never gave up. If there's one piece of advice I could give other adults thinking about upgrading, it would be: study persistently, believe in yourself, and never quit on your goals no matter how tough itseems. The overwhelming sense of accomplishment makes all the late nights and practice tests worth it!Okay, that's all from me. Thanks for reading about my inspiring exam experience. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go online and order myself a fresh new notebook for my first university classes!。
