Raiden Garcia, 8, managed to survive the terrible disaster when he and his family were playing on Ellison Creek (溪流) near Phoenix, the capital city of Arizona.When the flood hit the area, Raiden became separated from his family because of the rushing water. All he could do was to swim as hard as he could, but the waves kept overpowering him. And he couldn't see anything.Finally, he was swept into an area where the water wasn’t rushing so fast, and he was able to grab onto a log (原木). From there, he shouted as loud as he could for help, even though he couldn’t see anyone, just dark water and debris (杂物) in the river.
