《实用英语综合教程I》是我院学生的一门必修的基础课程,是以英语教学理论为指导,以英语语言知识与应用技能、跨文化实际和学习策略为主要内容,并集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体的教学体系。
二、课程教学目标及教学方法(一)教学目标本课程的教学目标是:在规定学时内,重复复习、巩固中学学过的英语基础知识,结合专业实际适当加深加宽;重点培养学生的阅读能力和自学英语的能力,使其能以英语为工具,获取专业所需要的信息,并为进一步提高英语水平打下较好基础。

三、教学内容和要求(一)教学内容:根据我国高等职业学校公共英语课程开设的实际情况(一般为三学期),同时考虑到我国各地区和各学校之间的差异,本教程共计为三册,一学期学习一册,各册相互之间为递进关系。
对于入学水平较低的学生,要求能达到《高等职业教育公共英语课程教学基本要求》(试行)规定的“基本要求”,通过高职高专B级考试。
对于入学水平较好的学生学完后,要求能达到《高等职业教育公共英语课程教学基本要求》(试行)规定的“较高要求”,通过高职高专A级考试。
本教程词汇量控制在3500个单词,第一、第二册每本教材认知500个生词,即第一册1000—1500、第二册2000-2500.第三册词汇要求认知1000个生词。
高职高专公共英语正常教学时间为120课时,平均每周4课时,其中3课时用于“实用综合课程”教学,1课时用于“实用听说教程"教学.本课程每本教材8单元,每单元6学时。

课程性质:大学英语课程是高等教育阶段各专业人才培养过程中极为重要的一门公共基础必修课程。
课程的任务:本课程是把教育部关于大学英语要求与本院实际相结合,面向英语专业专科大学英语的一门必修的通识教育课程。
大学英语的教学任务是使学生在今后的工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行口头和笔头交流, 培养适应我国经济发展和国际交流所需要的人才,为此,课程将努力做到以下三个方面:1、培养学生英语综合应用能力:具有较强的阅读能力和良好的听、说、写、译能力,使他们能用英语交流信息;2、增强学生的学习能力、特别是自主学习能力;3、提高学生的综合文化素养。

课程性质:公共基础课
一、课程任务和性质
大学英语教学是高等教育的一个有机组成部分。
《实用英语综合教程I》是我院学生的一门必修的基础课程,是以英语教学理论为指导,以英语语言知识与应用技能、跨文化实际和学习策略为主要内容,并集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体的教学体系。
二、课程教学目标及教学方法
(一)教学目标
本课程的教学目标是:在规定学时内,重复复习、巩固中学学过的英语基础知识,结合专业实际适当加深加宽;重点培养学生的阅读能力和自学英语的能力,使其能以英语为工具,获取专业所需要的信息,并为进一步提高英语水平打下较好基础。
(二)教学方法
各种教学法(听说领先法、翻译法、交际法等)都是一定的历史背景和社会环境的产物。
立足我院实际,根据学生的实际水平、不同的教学阶段和不同的教学目的和要求,采用不同的教学方法,调动学生的积极性和主动性,培养学生的自学能力和独立工作能力。
三、教学内容和要求
(一)教学内容:
根据我国高等职业学校公共英语课程开设的实际情况(一般为三学期),同时考虑到我国各地区和各学校之间的差异,本教程共计为三册,一学期学习一册,各册相互之间为递进关系。
对于入学水平较低的学生,要求能达到《高等职业教育公共英语课程教学基本要求》(试行)规定的“基本要求”,通过高职高专B级考试。
对于入学水平较好的学生学完后,要求能达到《高等职业教育公共英语
课程教学基本要求》(试行)规定的“较高要求”,通过高职高专A级考试。
本教程词汇量控制在3500个单词,第一、第二册每本教材认知500个生词,即第一册1000-1500、第二册2000-2500。
第三册词汇要求认知1000个生词。
高职高专公共英语正常教学时间为120课时,平均每周4课时,其中3课时用于“实用综合课程”教学,1课时用于“实用听说教程”教学。
本课程每本教材8单元,每单元6学时。
本课程每本教材含学生用书和教师用书。
《教师用书》内容除常规的答案以外,还应包括教学过程、教学理念、教学方法、教学建议、教学计划等。
本教程属“两年制高职高专英语系列教材”主干教材,另配有《实用听说教程》:教学时间为每周一课时,重点是帮助学生掌握基本的交际技能,自成体系,相对独立。
本册书共八个单元,本学期计划进行八个单元,每单元教学时间设计为八课时,每周四课时。
各单元具体内容如下:
课文A(TEXT A):课文材料主要选自国外书刊,通常包含一个故事,题材广泛,内容新颖,活泼有趣,语言生动。
注释(Notes):对课文中涉及社会、历史、文化、生活的专有名词提供背景知识介绍。
生词(New Words):以在课文中出现的顺序排列,释义使用中文,力求简洁准确,为帮助学生扩大词汇,对部分生词给出了派生词,并提供例句说明用法。
短语词组(Useful Expression):为加强学生运用英语的能力,单独列出课文中出现的常见短语,并配有中文释义。
补充词汇:提供与单元话题相关的词汇,一方面帮助学生扩充词汇,另一方面有利于他们就相关话题展开讨论。
课文理解(Comprehension):课文理解A为检验学生对课文理解的多项选择题,由个人独立完成;B和C为两人一组活动,要求学生根据课文回答问题,并在给定的语境中进行对话,为学生提供说英语的机会。
积极词汇(Active Words):该部分列出课文中出现的4-5个积极词汇,即使用频率高、组词能力强的单词,通过例句说明其不同释义和用法,介绍常用的搭配和短语。
积极词汇练习的形式为句子填空,目的是检查学生对积极词汇的掌握情况。
词汇检查(Vocabulary Check):词义搭配一般为10组,单词选自课文,释义为中文。
随后有8个例句,要求学生进行词形练习,以帮助他们了解英语词汇的构成方式,掌握扩大词汇量的捷径。
语法知识(Grammar Tips):对课文中出现的语法现象进行简要归纳说明,并进行巩固练习。
课文B(TEXT B):课文内容围绕单元话题,从不同角度提供信息,文体基本上为说明文或记叙文,以帮助学生增进对话题的了解,进一步扩充词汇,提高阅读能力。
生词与短语(Words and Expressions):对课文中出现的生词、动词搭配、短语词组给出中文释义,不加派生词。
阅读理解(Comprehension):根据课文设计问题,通过填空补缺、判断正误的练习形式,巩固对课文主要论点、重要细节的掌握。
综合练习(Comprehensive Exercise):采用听写、多项选择、完形填空、翻译练习等多种形式,紧扣单元主题、词汇和相关语法。
其中:听写所选英文材料与课文内容相关,难度比课文略低,要求学生根据听力材料填写常用词,目的是逐步提高学生的英语听力水平。
单项选择练习题涵盖语法、用法、搭配等,对语言点拾漏补遗。
完形填空练习语篇内容与单元话题相关,学生根据上下文选择填词,可以增强语感。
翻译练习一般为5个中文句子,要求学生用本单元所学的单词和短语将其翻译成英文。
实用写作(Practical writing):结合学生在生活和工作将要遇到的问题和需要,通过范例,进行写作训练,使他们能仿写自我介绍、个人信件、电子邮件、礼品卡留言、电影海报、环保口号、日记、计划等。
课堂活动(Classroom Activity):开展与单元话题相关的语言实践活动,形式多样,操作简单,体现“do to learn”的思想,为学生提供使用英语的机会。
(二)教学要求:
根据我院学生入学时的英语基础水平,提出以下教学要求:
听力理解能力:能听懂英语授课;能听懂日常英语谈话和一般性题材讲座或慢速英语广播、电视节目的大意;能运用听力技巧帮助理解关键词和句子,领会讲话者的观点和态度。
口语表达能力:能用英语进行日常生活的交际;能就日常生活话题与英语国家人士进行交谈;能就所熟悉的话题作简短发言,表达比较清楚,语言、语调基本正确。
阅读理解能力:能基本读懂一般性题材的英语报刊文章;能借助词典阅读与专业有关的英文杂志;掌握中心意思,理解主要事实或结论;能读懂工作、生活中常见应用文体的材料。
书面表达能力:能写常见的应用文,借助词典完成一般性写作任务,即能描述个人经历、感受、情感和发生的事件;能就一般性话题在40分钟内写出120词的短文,且内容基本完整,用词较恰当,语意较连贯,掌握基本的写作格式和技能。
翻译能力:能借助词典将难度略低与课文的英语短文译成汉语,理解正确,译文达意;能借助词典将内容熟悉的汉语文字材料译成英语,无重大语言错误。

五、考核
考核是检查教学效果的重要手段,目的是取得教学的反馈信息,不断改进教学质量。
平时适当安排随堂测试,每学期结束时安排期末考试,注意试题质量,考试后及时分析总结。
本课程期末考核标准为:
1、平时成绩=出勤+课堂练习+课后作业
2、期末成绩=平时成绩(40%)+期末笔试成绩(60%)
期末考试方法:闭卷笔试
六、课程教学主要内容及学时分配
本课程共开设3个学期。
第一、二学期分别为15周,周学时为4,周学时为2。
本课程共计150学时。
