三、课堂教学资源：“soccer”指英式足球，即按英国足球协会制定的规则进行的足球运动，我们常说的风靡全世界的足球指的就是“soccer”。
“soccer”是“association football”的简写，起初简称“assoc”，后又简称“soc”，最后写成“soccer”或“socker”。
“football”有两种含义：“American football”与“rugby football”。
“American football”指美式足球，简称“football”；“rugby football”指的是橄榄球，简称“rugby”。
四、教学过程：（一）Warm- up:1.Greeting：2.Game: Do and guess. (引导学生使用词组 a pair of )设计意图：游戏不仅复习了前面所学play checkers, read the book, draw a picture, sing a song, play badminton…… 并为新授做准备。

=I like red best。
②Favourite后面直接跟名词，like...best后面不跟任何成分。
（二）play的用法： 1、 play+with+其它词 play with snow 玩雪 play with cats 和猫玩 play with mike 和迈克一起玩2、play+球类/棋类/游戏 play ping-pong 打乒乓 play chess 打乒乓 play basketball 打篮球 play games 玩游戏3、play+the+乐器 play the flute 吹笛子 play the violio 打乒乓 play the trumpet 吹小号 play the piano弹钢琴（三）basketball是复合名词如：football 足球 classroom 教室 classmate 同班同学blackboard 黑板storybook 故事书waterfall 瀑布(四）some与any用法区别:some和any都有"一些"的含义,都能修饰可数名词和不可数名词,但用法却大有不同。
①some 一般用在肯定句中。
如: There are some girls in the classroom. 教室里有一些女孩。
some有时也用于疑问句,表示期望得到肯定回答,并不表示对某事有疑问。
如: Will you give me some ink? 请给我一些墨水好吗?②any一般用于疑问句和否定句中。
如: Are there any maps on the wall? 墙上有地图吗?There aren't any trees behind the house. 房子后面没有树。
《Ping-pong and Basketball 》作业设计一、作业设计意图教材分析：本套教材是由河北教育出版社和DC 加拿大国际交流中心合作编写，教材强调语言的学习以多输入、多接触为主，使教学呈现出“学习活动化，活动交际化“的崭新局面，六年级下册围绕运动、健康的生活、暑假活动以及李明如何和朋友们道别等话题展开，本课选自第一单元第一课，围绕体育运动展开教学，本课是对话课，围绕Jenny 和Li Ming 关于运动话题的讨论，让学生学习有关体育运动的表达，要求掌握四会单词sport 、football 、any 、some 、wear ；学习重点是表达喜欢的运动；区分“some ”和“any ”的用法，并能够运用此类句型进行交际。
学情分析：六年级的学生已具备一定的听、说、写的能力。
本课是对运动话题展开讨论，贴合学生生活实际，利于学生进入情境，课上我积极调动学生的原有知识和运动经验，激发学生的学习热情，从而培养孩子们的综合语言运用能力，但是本班学生在听力和语言运用方面相对薄弱，因此在作业设计环节我注重学生实际，丰富作业内容，加强了此类题型的训练。
作业结构：分层设计作业内容由浅入深设计为三个等级，允许学生自主选择，鼓励学生积极完成。
一星作业是“必做题”，二星和三星作业是“选做题”，可选择其中一项完成，作业完全正确，可获得星星贴纸的奖励，集满5个星星贴纸的同学，可以参与幸运抽奖一次。
作业总量：分为三个板块，预计20分钟完成。
一星作业：共计4题，听力题两道，看图写短语和翻译句子。
二星作业：共计5题，翻译短语；找规律；选词填空；单词变脸和连词成句。
三星作业：共计2题，二选一完成，在微信上和同学讨论运动爱好；制作思维脑图讨论运动的方式、穿着、人员、场所和时间等。

Step 2 学习语言知识通过展示图片或演示，介绍乒乓球和篮球的产生、起源、发展和现今的状态。
然后要求学生查看图片或演示视频，学习相关的运动场景和动作词汇。
老师可以根据不同的学生将词汇先写在黑板上，再通过语音指导学生正确发音。
然后老师再播放运动场景的音频或视频，让学生进一步加深对这些词汇的理解和记忆。
最后，要求学生将这些单词和短语用正确的语法和语言表达方式造句。
Step 3 听说练习老师相互之间进行一个模拟运动场景对话。
在开始对话之前，首先要求学生听懂老师所讲的关于运动的信息。
学生们要将这些信息用英语表达出来，例如：老师说“the ball bounces on the table”，那么学生可以说“the ball is bouncing on the table”。

Today my topic is Ping-pong and Basketball. It’s my great honor to present my lesson here. To make my presentation much clearer, I’ll describe my thoughts in the following 6 aspects: analysis of teaching materials,analysis of students, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching procedures and blackboard design. Now I am going to present them one by one.Part One: Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis lesson is the first period of unit1 in book 8 HBEP. The unit is mainly about sports and this lesson is a dialogue between Jenny and LiMing about their favorite sports, which is close to the students' real life. As the first lesson of this unit, it is helpful to raise students’ interests about sports and it also will be beneficial for them to learn the rest of the unit.Based on the new curriculum standard，I set three teaching objectives:1. Knowledge objectivesStudents can listen ,read, recognize and write the new words: sport, football,basketball, some, any, wear.Students can grasp and use the following sentence patterns to perform dialogues in the real situation : “ What sports do you play” and its answer “I can play...”;“What’s your favorite sport” and its answer “ I like ...best”; “Do you have any..., Yes or No”.2. They have accumulated some basic English knowledge. They have curiosity about English and they are willing to speak English. Their abstract thinking is still not fully mature; their image thinking occupies an important position in learning. I will take all these factors into consideration.Part Three: The Teaching MethodsAccording to the students physical and physiological characteristics，I will adopt task-based language teaching method, communicative method and the situational approach to improve the students enthusiasm，design a variety of activities , make the students learn to play and play to learn .Part Four: The Learning MethodsCorrespondingly , I will encourage students to use cooperative study method to embody the role of first place ininstruction activities.They will take part in the activities and finish the tasks cooperatively in pairs and in groups.During the teaching process, multimedia, tape recorder and material objects will be needed as the teaching aids.Part Five: Teaching ProceduresSo much for the teaching methods and learning methods, Now it comes to the most important part —teaching procedures, it includes the following 5 steps: Step 1: warm up and lead in After daily greetings, I will play an English song about sport and let the students to guess the name of the song, which can creat the relaxed and happy atmosphere of learning English. Then I will show them some pictures of famous sports stars such as YaoMing, Beckham and ZhangYining, then ask them some questions :“Who are they? What are they doing? What does he/she like to do?” And then tell them the theme ofthis lesson is about your favorite sports . It is helpful to arouse t he students’ interest of study and bring in new subject.Step 2: presentation of new class(part1) First, I will show some pictures about various sports to learn the new words: sport, basketball, football and ping-pong, then leave the platform and stand among the students to ask them to answer my questions one by one “What sports do you play? What is your favorite sport? What sports do you like best?". Ss will answer my question :" I play basketball. Ping-pong is my favorite sport or I like ping-pong best". After that, I will play the tape of part1 and let students read after it to correct their pronunciation.(part2) Second, I will let students to review the words we have learned about clothes by showing some pictures such as T-shirt and shorts, then tell them I always wear a T-shirt and shortsto play ping-pong. Then ask some Ss “Do you have a T-shirt? Do you have any ping-pong balls? What do you need to buy?” After their answering, I will say “ T hat’s okay. We can buy some.” At this time, I will show two sentences on the blackboard “They have some bread for breakfas t. Do you have any water?”. Then let students pay attention to the usage of “some” and “any” according to the types of sentences. After that, students will read after the tape of part2 to immitate the pronunciation.Through this step, students can understand and master the new words, phrases and sentences better. It also can improve their learning interest.Step 3 practiceIn this step, I will design three activities to consolidate what they learned. Let students learn to play and play to learn.(1)Pair work: Ss role-play the dialogue with their partners. One is Jenny and the other is LiMing, then they exchange. Then some pairs will be invited to act it out in front of the class.(2) Group work: make a survey. I ask Ss to make a survey in a group of 4 to find out what sports their classmates play and their favorite sports. I will invite some group leaders to report their results.(3) Ss will fill in the blanks on page 3 by themselves about the usage of “some”and “any”, and then I will check their answers.During this part , the Ss can think and say by themselves , they will be glad to use the knowledge that they have learnt , and their creative power will be trained.Step 4.summaryAsk Ss to sum up what they have learned today by themselves, and I will make an assessment. Ss’ self-study abilitywill be improved.Step 5. homeworkWrite a short passage to describe their favorite sport. it can make students know that English is useful, so that their learning motivation will be more strong.Part Six: Design of the blackboardLast but not least, I will talk about my blackboard design. I write the key words and sentence patterns on the blackboard in order to make Ss remember the key points more easily.。
