Unit 5 Travelling abroad语法探究I.非限制性定语从句的使用场合(1)先行词为独一无二的物体时The sun, which rises in the east, gives us light and heat.太阳从东边升起,给我们光和热。
(2)先行词是指物的专有名词时The Great Wall, which is called in Chinese “The Ten-Thousand Li Great Wall.”, is actually more than 6,000 kilometers.长城,中国人称作“万里长城“实际有6000多公里。
(3)先行词指物而且被指示代词或人称代词修饰时。

(4)定语从句修饰整个主句时He is from America, which I know from his accent.他是美国人,这一点我是从他的口音的只得。
II.非限制性定语从句引导词的选择(1).关系代词的选择非限制性定语从句的关系代词不能用that。
指人时,如果引导词作主语,用who; 作宾语用whom,指物时,用which。
引导词作宾语也不能省略。

New Zealand police said that the car accident happened in the early morning, one student, Xiao Ding, died on the spot, the other four students were hurt. KEEP IT UP,XIE LEI Chinese student fitting in well(谢蕾,再接再厉!中国学生适应能力强),阅读材料的部分介绍了一个中国女孩第一次去国外上学进预科班学习的历文章描述了她在生活和学习方面所面临的问题,比如生活方式的不适应,中西方学习法方式的差异,语言的障碍等等。
但是她积极向寄宿家庭主人和导师寻求帮助。
在寄宿庭,她学习新的文化习俗,遇到不明白的问题会主动向房主求助。
学习方面,她出师不利但并未气馁,主动找导师沟通,在导师的严格要求下和自己不懈努力下,逐步成为了一个更加自主的学习者。
