被认为是较好的大管径流量测量仪表，多普勒法超声波流量计可测双相介质的流量，故可用于下水道及排污水等脏污流的测量。

温度、压力、密度它们是选择传感器提供的重要参数，特别是在工况下的参数，对于气体流量还应了解其体积流量是工作状态，还是标准状态。

流体类型流体分为液体、气体、蒸汽。

有些传感器（如电磁式）不能测气体；插入热式则不能测液体。

——水流量传感器主要由铜阀体、水流转子组件、稳流组件和霍尔元件组成。

它装在热水器的进水端用于测量进水流量。

当水流过转子组件时，磁性转子转动，并且转速随着流量成线性变化。

插入式流量传感器工作原理是基于法拉第电磁感应定律。

在电磁流量传感器中，测量管内的导电介质相当于法拉第试验中的导电金属杆，上下两端的两个电磁线圈产生恒定磁场。

当有导电介质流过时，则会产生感应电压。

THE NEEDSEvides Waterbedrijf required measurement of turbidity and flow to monitor water quality in the distribution network and manage the network. Until recently, this data had been recorded manually and analysed with outdated equipment.
