2. 取材上贴近生活2008年武汉中考英语试卷阅读部分延续了新课标考查方式下的出题风格，在阅读材料的选取上有意识地从中学生关心的时事、身边事中提炼素材，如完形填空的B篇文章及填词部分均为地震后的救援和关爱为素材，拉近了与考生之间的距离，也减少了考生临场的恐惧和紧张感。

3. 融阅读能力与词汇、语法考查于一体表面上看来，2008年武汉中考英语试卷结构与分值比重的变化似乎有减少语法与词汇考查的趋势，不少考生也因此而忽视了对词汇、语法的复习。

实则不然。

08年武汉教育考试院出版的《2008年中考课业词汇大纲》（蓝皮书）新增的不少单词及用法在今年的试卷中都有所体现，如68题选项中的belong to,选择式阅读理解C篇中的shortcoming等等。
