Lesson 60(Get a Good Education)九年级Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. It’s my great honor and to be here sharing my lesson with you.I have been ready to begin this representation with five parts. Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching strategies, the learning methods, the teaching procedure and the blackboard design.Part 1 Teaching Material1. The position of the teaching materialThe content of my lesson is Lesson 60 of Unit10, Book5, New Junior English for China, published by Hebei Education Press. The topic of this lesson is Get a Good Education. By studying this lesson, we know that the education can help you achieve your dream. So we need to get a good education. Therefore, this lesson is an important position of this book.2. Teaching AimsAccording to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus and after studying the teaching material, the teaching aims are as the following:First, I’d like to enable the students to master some words and expressions and help them understand the content of this lesson.(That’s my knowledge object.)Second, I’d like to guide the students to analyze the structure of the text, develop their abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially their reading ability and set up their effective studying strategies by training the Ss’ abilities of studying by themselves and cooperating. (This is my ability object)As for the moral object, I’d like to get the students to be aware of the importance of education, and try to say something about how to achieve their dreams. Meanwhile, I’ll pay more attention to increasing the students’ interest in learning and setting up their self-confidence by completing the task.3. The Important and Difficult PointsBased on the requi rement of the syllabus, the important point that I’m going to deal with is to guide the students to get the structure of the whole lesson and learn how to express what to do to achieve their dream. As for the difficult point, what I’m going to do is to get the students to work in pairs to write about their plans for the future correctly.Part 2 Teaching strategiesAs is known to us all, good teaching strategies require that the teacher should not only help the Ss develop good sense of the English language, but also create a good language atmosphere to stimulate the students’ interest in learning. Group Cooperating Teaching Approach5.CAI (CAI can provide a real situation with its sound and picture, it can develop the Ss creativity in learning English.)Part 3 Learning methodsAccording to the new standard curriculum, I’d like to creat ive a student- centeredclass and offer the students opportunities to participate in class in groups to share and exchange their ideas with the group members and learn to use English actively and creatively, which will make them experience and explore in the situation, and at the same time develop their sense of cooperation and competition.Part 4 Teaching procedureStep1 Pre-reading (Lead-in)I’ d like to ask the students two questions:“What do you want to do when you grow up?” and “What can keep your cho ices open?”to lead the new lesson.The purpose of my lead-in is to attract the students’ attention so as to arouse the Ss’ interest in learning.Step2: While-readingTask 1: Fast readingDoing fast reading is a good way to train the students’ ability of reading comprehension, so the first thing I’d like to do is to ask the students to look through the diary and find the main idea of it within very short time.Task 2: Detailed readingIn order to help the students understand the diary better, I’d like to get the students to read the diary again and write T or F. While checking, I help them understand the diary well. Then read the diary a third time and answer some questions one by one. “Task-based” teaching method is used here to develop the Ss’ ability of communication and their ability of cooperation will be well trained.Step3.Acting after readingAs the students know the whole reading passage, I’d like to get them to read Paragraph 2 and fill in the form then act this part.After that, I’d like to let them read Paragraph 3 and 4, then answer Danny’s questions. Also ask the students to act it out. This is a good way to train the students’ ability of team work.Step 4 Speaking about the plans for the future and writingWhat do you want to do? What can you do to achieve your dream according to Jack’s words?Then what can you do to get a good education and keep your eyes onit?Ask them answer these questions and write down their ideas in groups and then share. This part is t o improve the Ss’ speaking s kills and writing skills.Step5. SummaryAt the end of the class, I’d like to give a summary that Study hard and keep eyes on their goal, and they will achieve their dreams.I am sure they will have good futures.Step5 HomeworkMy homework in this lesson is to get the students to write a composition: My dream is ___. Homework is important and necessary for the students to master the knowledge they have learned. Give the students five minutes to finish the task. Pay attention to all the students' feelings. Let all of them take part in the discussion.
Step2. Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks with the words you hear:
