Unit 12Life is full of the unexpected一、教材分析本单元主要是围绕着“Life is full of the unexpected”这个话题,通过了解不及时做某事而造成的危害培养学生养成良好的行为习惯。
二、三维目标【学习目标】1. 掌握重点词汇:by the time , gotten ,oversleep2. 学习重点句型:( 1 ).By the time she got up , her brother had already gone into the bathr oom. ( 2 ) When she got t o school , she realized she had left her backpack at home . 【能力目标】培养听说能力。

五、教学策略以讨论有关“mor ning”的两个问题(1a)引入单元话题,通过听力练习(1b)和对话练习(1c)让学生掌握一个过去完成时的句型;第二模块继续就第一模块的听力材料进行内容和时态练习(2a-2b)以及口语训练(2c);第三模块以一个“hurried morning”的故事展开训练,训练形式为阅读排序(3a)和回答问题(3b)以及口语练习(3c)。

2.教材分析:本单元的主要话题是难以预料的事情(Unexpected events),单元语法为过去完成时态及复习由when, before, as, by the time引导的时间状语从句表达过去发生的事情,功能为能讲述过去发生的事情(Narrate past events)。
本节课为第十二单元第二课时阅读课,阅读语篇是一篇两段式按时间顺序叙述的记叙文,讲述了作者从两件意想不到的突发事件中转危为安的两个小故事。
3a要求学生快速阅读,掌握文章大意,锻炼学生通过快速阅读提取关键信息的能力;3c要求学生利用所给信息复述事件内容,既检测学生对文章大意的掌握,又培养学生的语言组织和表达能力。
到本节课结束,学生应该会使用包括过去完成时态在内的适当的时态及when, before, as, by the time引导的时间状语从句复述文章内容,同时通过作者的经历学会乐观面对生活。
3.学情分析本次授课班级为九年级七班,本班学生英语基础为中等水平,学生的单词掌握量较高,思维活跃,积极主动,但缺乏语法和句法概念,因此在造句和连句成篇上仍存在一定的困难。
学生已经学习过一般过去时态和现在完成时态,因此对过去完成时态的接受能力较强,但同时在实际运用中也易发生时态混淆的现象,本节课对课文的整体剖析有利于学生对时态作进一步的区分和运用。
