本节课的核心教学内容是以新加坡为题材,让学生通过阅读理解，了解新加坡的地理、人口、语言、食物、野生动物园和天气情况。

其语法项目主要是继续学习现在完成时态和掌握课文中出现的一些知识点。

而在这之前，学生已经学习了一般过去时态。

这个时态与现在完成时既有联系又有区别。

因此，学生是否能够准确运用这个时态表达自己的思想，既可对前面学过的一般过去时做一个检测，又可对学生后面继续学习现在完成时态打下坚实的基础。

二．学情分析学生在unit8 已经学习并掌握了现在完成时态的用法，本节课的阅读是以“Have you ever been to Singapore ”为主题，整篇课文都是以现在完成时态贯穿其中。

在本篇阅读中，学生通过读说写技能的训练，将会给学生创造更多的语言输入和输出的机会。
