Ⅰ. lift “举起、提起、抬起”常常表举(提、抬)起某物时需要费些力气。

如：
① This is too heavy for me to lift. 这太重了，我举不起。

② He lifted a pail of water from the ground. 他把一桶水从地上提了起来。

Ⅱ. raise “举起、抬起”着重指使某物竖立起来。

如：

raise和rise怎么区分？1. Raise和rise都有“上升”的意思，记住下面2句话：Raise是及物动词，后面必须有宾语，就是“某人把某物举起来”。
