Unit 7 What does he look like?第一课时教案一、教材分析:本课是新目标英语七年级(下)第七单元第一课时(Section A)。
本单元围绕描述人物外貌的话题展开活动。
这一课时着重介绍语言目标What does he look like? He is / has…,让学生学习怎样用英语来描述人的外貌特征,由于该内容接近学生的生活实际,为学生所熟悉,容易引起学生学习兴趣,从而促进学生自主,探究学习,为后面的课时学习打下基础。
二、教学目标:知识目标:1、词汇:名词:hair, height,build,captain,team,bit,joke,形容词: short,curly,straight,high,thin, heavy.2、短语:look like, good一looking,a little bit.3、句型:What does he/she look like? --He/She is tall.What do you look like? --I’m thin.4、语法:What does he/she look like? --He/She is tall.能力目标:通过创设情景,借助多媒体等手段让学生身临其境,采用师生互答、生生互动、对话呈现、短剧表演、语篇表达等形式,来提高学生的语言学习积极性和主动性。
从而培养学生综合运用语言的能力。
情感目标:通过对身边人物的描述,培养学生对父母、亲戚、老师或朋友的喜爱之情,教育学生团结友爱,与朋友融洽相处,培养学生学英语的自信心。
养成良好学习习惯,让学生学会赞美别人。
三、学习策略:注意观察,主动参与,与他人合作,互相帮助,在活动中积极运用所学英语进行表达与交流。

(四)教学设计:Step I. Warming-up:Play a game “P o lly says…”.Tell the Ss the rules:If Polly says touch your eyes/ears/ nose/mouth/shoulder/legs/arms. You should do it. If it doesn’t say that, you can’t do it. If you are wrong, you have to sit down. The person who does it correctly is the winner.Step II. Presentation:1.Say“Great!”to the winner and let him/her be in front of the class. Then give him/her a present and talk about the winner with the whole class:Do you think he/she is very great? Do you like him/her? What is he/she like? What does he/she look like? Is he/she tall/short? What does he/she wear?2.Show the photos of some famous people to introduce hairstyle, height and build. Teach the new words and the new sentence pattern.3.Go over the spelling and the pronunciation of the new words with the Ss.Step III. Unit 7 What does he look like? 案例反思本单元是九年制义务课程标准实验教科书《新目标英语》七年级下册中第七单元,本单元的核心话题是谈论人的外表形象,因此“谈论一个人的外表”是教学重点,同时也是教学难点。
通过对本单元的学习,学生能掌握本单元出现的表示人外观的词组及句型。
通过对本单元的学习,学生能掌握本单元出现的表示人外观的词组及句型,并能运用这些词组及句型描述别人的外表,进而描述自己喜欢的人物。
在听读的基础上创设语言情景,加强说写能力的训练。
此外,还要充分借用一些图片来扩大学生的写作面,以提高其写作水平。
单元知识结构1.词汇:名词:hair, height,build,captain,team,joke,person,heard,mustache,image,winner etc.形容词:short,curly,straight,high,thin, heavy,etc2.短语:look like, good一looking,a little bit,etc3. 句型:What does he/she look like? --He/She is tall.What do you look like? --I’m thin.4. 语法:What does he/she look like? --He/She is tall.What do you look like? --I’m thin.因此,复习课的定位很重要,就是上完这节课要达到什么样的目的。
每个老师根据自己班的实际情况复习的方向当然也不一样。
而温老师虽然教龄并不长,但是她上出来的课一点也看不出她的“嫩”。
她的从容、她的沉稳、她的干练,大家有目共睹。
温老师能根据自己班的具体实际(如:学生会混淆is与has用法)出发,制定自己的教学步骤,从词到句再到段,最后写文章。
但是对于中间的一个短文改错环节,大家的意见不一。

(1)look like是固定词组,意思是“看起来像”,通常指外表的长相。
有时也说be like。
like是介词,意为“像……样”。

(2)medium build意思是“中等身材”。
如:He is a man of strong build. 他是一个体格健壮的男人。
(3)long hair“长头发”。
hair在这里是不可数名词。
如果指一根一根的毛发,可作可数。
如:He had his hair cut yesterday. 他昨天去理了发。
2. 形容词的用法。
形容词一般在句中可作定语、表语、宾语补足语。
如:这是面红旗。
I’m 见到你,我很高兴。
我发现这本书非常有趣。
形容词在修饰不定代词时,放在不定代词之后。
如:There is something new in today’s newspaper.今天的报纸上有些新东西。
但有些形容词只能作表语,不能作定语,它们常称为表语形容词。
如:afraid, ill, asleep, awake, alone, alive, unable等。

本单元的核心话题是谈论人的外表形象(look), 教材内容围绕着描述人的外貌特点展开,让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及着装特点,因此‘talking about sb’s look’ 是教学重点。
