题型二阅读理解(任务型阅读)1-10Passage 1(河北)Artificial intelligence( AI)(人工智能)is growing rapidly. We are living in a world that depends more and more on AI. AI is a group of technologies that help machines get, understand and use information to do tasks.AI's recent developments have got a lot of social attention. Some people have welcomed AI because it makes things possible. For example, AI will have a big influence on areas like medicine and engineering. But this attention has also produced a lot of fear. Especially, many workers are worrying that AI could make them lose their jobs.According to a recent study, nearly five percent of jobs will disappear because of AI. In some industries,AI is already doing the work that people used to do, such as assembling (装配)cars, digging the coal and lifting goods. Self- driving cars and trucks controlled by AI will also take away the driver's jobs in the future. On the other hand, AI will also create many new jobs for people. More people will be needed to write programmes for AI systems(系统)and they will set up and work on them, too. Meanwhile, jobs that require feelings, excellent communication skills with people will not be replaced(取代)by AI. These includes jobs in fields like teaching, nursing and personal training.AI is here. It is changing how people live and work in many ways. That makes AI important to watch, not to fear.1、2题完成句子;3题简略回答问题;4题找出并写下第二段的主题句;5题将文中画线句子译成汉语。

Louis Braille was born in the nineteenth century. When he was three years old, an accident at his father’s workshop left him blind. As a young boy, Louis was hard-working and clever. His teachers suggested that he should go to the National Institute for Blind Youths. ①At that time, this was the only school for the blind in France. At the institute, Louis was eager to learn to read and write. To his great disappointment, the few books he found at the institute used raised (凸起的) letters. This method of reading was difficult for the blind, because they had to feel slowly each letter. ②到他们摸到句子末尾时,他们已经忘记开头是关于什么了。
Louis wanted to develop an easier reading system for the blind. His idea of such a system came from Charles Barbier, a French army officer. Barbier had invented a system called “Night Writing”, which was made up of dots and dashes. Soldiers used this system to communicate with one another during the night. Louis adapted (改编) this system for his own use. He produced a simpler system based on dots. For example, “A” is represented by a single dot. Many blind students found this system much easier to use. This came to be known as the “Braille” system. Today, millions of blind people are able to read, thanks to the work of a young blind man.任务一:将文中划线的句子①翻译成汉语。

What many people don't know is that junk has become a problem in outer space too.According to BBC News, there are more than 22, 000 pieces of space junk floating around the earth. And these are just the things that we can see from the surface of the earth by telescopes (望远镜). There are also millions of smaller pieces of junk that we can't see.Objects, like bits of old space rockets or satellites, move around the planet at very high speeds, so fast that even a very small piece can break important satellites or become dangerous to astronauts. If the tiniest piece of junk crashed into a spaceship, it could damage the vehicle (交通工具).To make things worse, when two objects in space crash, they break into many smaller pieces. For example, when a U. S. satellite hit an old Russian rocket in 2009, it broke into more than 2,000 pieces, increasing the amount of space junk.To reduce additional space junk, countries have agreed that all new space tools can only stay in space for 25 years at most. Each tool must be built to fall safely into the earth's atmosphere after that time. In the upper parts of the atmosphere, it will burn up.Many scientists are also suggesting different ways to clean up space junk. In England scientists are testing a metal net that can be fired into space junk. The net catches the junk and then pulls it into the earth's atmosphere to burn up. The Germans are building robots that can collect pieces of space junk and bring them back to Earth to be safely destroyed."The problem is becoming more challenging because we're sending more objects into space to help people use their mobile phones and computers," says Marco Castronuovo, an Italian space researcher."The time to act is now. The longer we leave the problem, the bigger it will become," he says.6.Junk has become a problem in ________ too.7.What would happen if the tiniest piece of junk crashed into a spaceship?___________________________________________________8.Why have countries agreed that all new space tools can only stay in space for 25 years at most?___________________________________________________9.找出并写下第六段的主题句___________________________________________________10.将文中画线句子译成汉语。
2020中考英语大阅读组合练有答案一、阅读理解AGetting electricity has always been a problem for the 173 people living in Nuevo Saposoa, a small village in Peru, South America. However, things went from bad to worse in March 2015 after heavy rain damaged the only power cables in the area. The villagers were forced to use oil lamps, which are not only expensive but also dangerous because of the harmful gases they produce.Luckily, according to the researchers at the University of Technology (UT) in Lima, Peru heard about their problem and found a wonderful solution. They made a lamp that can be powered by plants and soil, both of which can be easily found in the Amazonian rainforest where the village lies. The lamp takes energy from a plant growing in a wooden box and uses it to light up an LED light bulb. While that may sound amazing and even impossible, the science behind the idea is quite simple. As plants create their food (using the sun's energy, water and chemicals from the soil), they also produce waste which they return to the soil. Tiny animals in the soil eat this waste and they produce electrons — the building blocks of electrical energy. The UT team put special sticks inside the soil to capture the energy and keep it in the lamp's batteries for later use. The researchers say a single charge can power a 50-watt LED light for two hours — enough time for local villagers to get their evening work done. The university gave ten Plant Lamps to the villagers of Nuevo Saposoa in October 2015. So far, they have been a huge success! Elmer Ramirez, the UT professor who invented the lamp, believes the Plant Lamp could help improve the lives of many people, especially small rainforest communities, 42% of whom have no electricity.()1、What are the problems of oil lamps according to Paragraph 1?A. B(民族风情及节日文化)We never had children of our own—just The White Prince—and I can tell you,he was enough of a family for anyone. He walked freely in the park just as we had planned he would, and ran after the deer and the rabbits whenever he felt like it: but he never did learn how to kill for himself. You can't teach old lions new tricks. He lived on deer mostly, and slept on a sofa in our living room—I wouldn't have him inside our bedroom,no matter(无论) how often Bertie asked. You know,I have to draw the line somewhere.Bertie's leg was never cured. When it was bad,he often needed a stick,or me,or the lion to lean on. It pained him a lot, especially on cold and wet days, and he never slept well. On Sundays the three of us would walk around the park together, and Bertie would sit on the top of Wood Hill with his arm around the lion's neck and I would fly kites. You know,I've always loved kites. And the lion liked to break them into pieces. The lion never showed any interest in running away, and even if he'd wanted to,the park wall was too high for an old lion to jump over. Wherever Bertie went,he wanted to go too. And if ever Bertie went out in the car, then he'd sit by me in the kitchen, and watch me with those great amber eyes, listening all the while for the sound of Bertie's car coming up the path to the front of the house. The lion was getting older. And he became weak in his legs and could see very little. He spent his last days sleeping at Bertie's feet. When he died,we buried(埋葬) him at the bottom of the hill. Bertie wanted it that way so he could always see the place from the kitchen window. I suggested Bertie plant a tree in case(以防) he forgot where the lion was. “I will, but he should get more than a tree,” Bertie said.Bertie was sad for weeks, months after the lion died. There was nothing I could do to cheer him or even comfort him. He would sit for hours in his room,or go off on long walks by himself. He seemed so shut away inside himself,so distant(遥远的). Try as I did,I could not reach him.…(Adapted from The Butterfly Lion)( )1. What did Bertie's wife mean by saying “I have to draw the line somewhere”?A. She would like the lion to sit by her.B. Every year, during Chongyang Festival, citizens of China show their respect to the elders in their families and communities. It's a special tradition which is rooted in the deep value that Chinese culture places on honouring their elders.Sadly, many of our aging population are seniors without sons, daughters or grandchildren to visit. While they may have great friends, they no doubt miss the tender and loving relationships unique to families. To fill this void(空虚),many volunteers turned up at nursing homes around the country in order to spend time with the residents(居民). In some cases, they performed humble(谦逊的) gestures(表示) of kindness, such as combing their hair or washing their feet. While the kind acts were appreciated, one embarrassing story out of Anhui Province raised a valuable question. Reportedly, one old gentleman had his feet washed seven times during the day by different volunteers. Is this genuinely(真诚地) caring for the elderly? Many of the residents at the nursing home said that those gestures do not make them feel cared for at all. Their family members or community volunteers may drop by for a few hours of token(象征性) time, but soon they disappear back into their busy lives. There is nothing we can give that is more valuable or appreciated than our time. While you may feel like there is barely enough time to care for your many responsibilities, might it be possible to spare just a moment as you walk home from school to sit with a senior who lives in your community? Just five minutes is not going to prevent you from getting your homework done, but it may totally change a day of loneliness into a day of joy for one old man or woman. Do you live far from your grandparents? Why not pick up the phone and let them know you're thinking of them? Or maybe you could remind them of the "good old days" and mail them a short letter. Imagine their surprise and joy!We live in a complicated(复杂的) and busy world, but kindness and caring is still a very simple thing.(1)How many times did one old gentleman have his feet washed during the day? (不超过2个词)(2)Which gesture can make the elders feel cared for? (不超过8个词)(3)What may the family members of the residents at the nursing home do?
