WhatIhavelearnedfromtheEnglishlanguageteachingWhat I have learned from the English language teaching This semester we have learned the English language teaching. During this period of learning, at first, our teacher guided and introduced us all of theoretical knowledge of this object and some useful methods to master the object well. And then assigned our tasks to practice our skills of teaching. In my view, during this class we were in a happy relaxed and colorful learning environment, from this class we can learn a lot.Firstly, I have learned how we learn language, what makes a good language teacher and the roles teachers play in the classroom. Some people with an excellent command of a foreign language may not be able to teach the language well while others with a general command of the language can teach it very effectively. It is clear that whether someone can become a good foreign language teacher does not solely depend on his/her command of the language. There are a variety of elements that contribute to the qualities of a good language teacher. These elements can be categorized into three groups: ethic devotion, professional qualities and personal styles. So in order to become a responsible professionally competent teacher of English, we have to develop our English proficiency first and also we may need to learn from experienced teachers through observations.Secondly, I have learned some principles teaching methods and other curriculum and so forth. For instance, the ultimate goal of foreignlanguage teaching is to enable students to use the foreign language in work or life when necessary. Thus we should teach that part of the language that will be used rather than all parts ofthe language; and we should teach language in the way it is used in the real world. However this is not always the case in foreign language teaching. Very often there is a big gap between the language used in real life and the language learned in classrooms. One possible solution to bridge the gap between classroom language teaching and real-life language use is the adoption of communicative language teaching, which has in recent years become an attractive term to cover a variety of developments in syllabus design and in the methodology of foreign language teaching. It includes five components namely, linguistic competence, pragmatic competence, discourse competence, strategic competence, and fluency. And I have learned the Task-based Language Teaching; it is widely promoted in English language teaching nowadays. It is a further development of Communicative Language Teaching. It shares the same beliefs, as language should be learned as close as possible to how it is used in real life. However, it has stressed the importance to combine form-focused teaching with communication-focused teaching.Besides I have learned some quick tips for teachers to deal with changes and challenges in the process of curriculum reform: have an open mind towards different kinds of ideas and approaches toteaching; be willing to try out new ideas and find out if they work or not. If not, why not. Be prepared to share with colleagues your difficulties or successes; try to find opportunities to attend training, seminars on language teaching and observations of teaching. You can always learn a lot from others; use the resources available to help you with teaching and for self-learning. There are a lot of resources on the internet nowadays for teaching and for brushing up your own English. There are alsoa lot of books discussing about the new curriculum; reflect on your own teaching and beliefs about teaching. If all possible, keep a teaching diary to record the questions that arise from your teaching and your own understanding about teaching. You will find these notes subconsciously focusing your attention on solving problems on a day-to-day basis and you will find yourself changing in the process of teaching and reflecting.Thirdly, I have learned about that how to make a good lesson planning and what roles teachers play in the classroom and some other teaching skills of each part. From this object, I knew that lessons may have different focuses, the actual content of any lesson will depend on what the teacher aims to achieve for the lesson, what type of students they have and what kind of teaching situation they are in. However, there are some principles that may be used to guide every lesson planning; they are aim, variety, flexibility, learn ability, and linkage. Lesson planning is necessary and beneficial to both experienced and novice teachers. A good lesson plan can serve as a useful record of what has been covered, and provide a basis for assessing learning by the end of a unit or term. So a lesson plan should include: background information, teaching aims, language contents and skills, stages and procedures, teaching aids, end of lesson summary, optional activities and assignments, and after lesson reflection. Besides, the role of the teacher is very impotent in efficient classroom management. Hamer defines the teacher’s roles as controller, assessor, organizer, prompter, participant and resource-provider. So we must play these roles well in the future. In short, after this class I have taught a lot from the teacher textbook or classmates whatever the theoretical knowledge, teaching skills, courage or another skill. When I gave lesson, I also found my defaults and tried to correct them. Besides, through this object I knew that I have lots of works to do in order to become a excellent English teacher in the near future. So now I will try my best to improve my skills all kinds’ aspect.。

What have you learned from Jobs
Through Stanford Report that made by Jobs on June 14 ,2005,I have learned three important experiences.
The first, you can’t connect the dots which looking forward and you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to believe that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something-you gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.
The second, sometimes when life hits you in the head with a brick,d on’t lose. You have to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers.Your works are going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great works. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.If you have not found it yet, keep looking.Do not settle. As with all matters of the heart, you will know when you find it.And,like any great relationship,it just gets better and better as the years roll on.So keep looking until you find it.Do not settle.
The third, your time is limited.Don’t be trapped by dogma-which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.Don’t let other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And the most important is that you should have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. Then somehow already know you truly want to become.Everything else is secondary.
In conclusion,we have learned from Jobs as follows:the first of all,we should dare to make a right choice which may decide to our life in the future. The second, when we look at difficulties we should have the right attitude which are our motivation to make us stronger and stronger. And we should find what we love which will lead us to do what we should do.The last,we should try our best to make full use of our time to do something that is significant and helpful for us.。
