听:能听懂谈论杰出人物的对话材料。

读:能读懂描述杰出文物的文章。

写:能够写介绍自己和周围同学的生活经历的短文。

德育目标:

通过了解名人的个人经历,学习他们积极上进努力奋斗的精神,同时我们学到了何时开始做

事都不为早的道理。

?本课重点是掌握并运用前两课时的句型,要求学生能应用他们读懂名人简介的文章,并填写相应的表格。

?本课时的难点是:两篇简介的一些单词(golf, Brazilian, professional, champion, achievement;)词汇(start doing sth, stop doing, too…to, at the age of…=when sb was ---(years old))和语法。

?相关的录音磁带及录音机;录像带。

?利用网络上的学习资源查找名人信息,用所学内容进行真实的交际,积极参与课外英语学习。

教后反思:

八年级上册第九单元,本课题为When was he born? 本单元主要以我们敬慕,熟知的人物为话题,以人物简历为线索,进一步学习一般过去时态的使用,尤其是一般过去时态的特殊疑问句。本节课为本单元的第三节课,主要是继续巩固学习一般过去时态,同时学会谈论自己崇拜的人,谈论自己和别人的过去和成就。同时进一步提高学生的听,说,读,写综合素质的能力。

以“自主性、探究性、合作性”为课堂学习的三个基本维度,以培养学生的科学素养为指导,以侧重科学方法教育为目标,本节课课前采用科学探究中常用的调查和分析的方法,让学生通过到图书馆,网上或报刊,杂志搜集名人信息的资料。这次活动还采用情景法,交际法及“任务型”教学途径并配以多媒体辅助教学。同时由于全班同学的英语水平参差不齐,有的基础一般的同学进行口语对话还存在一定的困难。因此,采取了分层递进的教学方法。课堂上我还用生动的语言、温柔的目光、信任的眼神加强师生间的情感交流;在轻松愉悦、民主和谐的环境气氛中,让学生积极主动参与,使学生产生了强烈的求知愿望。从而亲其师,学其道。对学生评价机会很多,对每一位(组)学生的发言,我都给予积极的评价,评价中注意理解,尊重学生,让学生从评价中体验成长发展的快乐,受人赞赏的自豪和奋发向上的冲动。

爱因斯坦说:“兴趣是最好的老师。”“从学生感兴趣的问题入手。”课前布置学生搜集一些他们热爱和崇拜的名人的资料。培养了学生自学能力;课堂上又让学生谈论自己的偶像。这样教师通过引导学生结合已有知识,创设情境,增强了学生主动探究的愿望和兴趣,激发了学生的学习积极性和创造性。通过复习一般过去时和简单提问导入新课。用青少年喜欢的偶像的照片,配以屏幕上的文字来呈现教学内容,使学生看到情景和语言的配合,使他们看到学习英语的真实性,这种方法使他们将注意力高度集中从而感知并掌握when从句的基本用法。同时运用所学的内容创设情境,进行对话练习,并结合听力、笔头训练,既培养了他们的口语表达能力,又培养了他们的合作精神,同时听、写的能力也得到了提高,为学生提供了实际运用英语的机会。这样由易到难,循序渐进,既符合学生认知规律,又培养了学生逐步解决问题的能力。

不足之处是仍有一些学生不能头入到英语学习中来。
