DOBA is a highly reactive hydrophobic bleach activator for use in laundry, I&I, and textile applications
How does DOBA work?
DOBA reacts under alkaline washing conditions with hydrogen peroxide (from perborate or percarbonate) forms peroxydecanoic acid (PDA) as active species PDA shows excellent antimicrobial properties
as highly reactive organic peracid PDA bleaches a large number of colored stains (tea, red wine, chlorophyll, carotenes etc.)
PDA is especially active on colored oily and greasy stains such as grass, curry, barbecue sauce, spaghetti sauce,…
