An oral drug, named ERDRP-0519, was invented. It is specifically designed to protect people who got infected measles（麻疹）from spreading the virus to others. Like the flu, measles spreads through the air by breathing, coughing or sneezing. There is typically a time, about two weeks, between becoming infected with the virus and the beginning of symptoms like skin rash（皮疹）, runny nose, heavy cough and high fever.
―This therapy application determines the desired characteristics of the drug, which are orally available, cost-effective manufacture and high stability,‖ Richard Klemperer, professor of Georgia State University, told reporters last Wednesday.
―With these criteria in mind, we have developed a small drug that blocks the measles virus over the past years, which is essential for copy of the virus.‖
The researchers tested the drug in rats infected with canine distemper virus（犬瘟病) , which is a close relative of measles virus. They found that all of the infected rats treated with the drug survived the deadly infection, showed no clinical signs of disease and developed a strong protective immune response.
The drug could be used to treat friends, family and other social contacts of a person infected with measles virus, which have not developed symptoms yet but are at risk of having caught the disease, Klemperer said truthfully.
―The emergence of strong antiviral immunity（抗病毒免疫力）in treated animals is particularly encouraging, since it suggests that the drug may not only save an infected individual from disease but contribute to closing measles immunity gaps in a population,‖ Klemperer said.
The researchers emphasized the drug is not intended as a substitute for vaccination, but as an additional weapon to get rid of the measles. They planned to test the drug’s safety in larger animals, before moving into clinical trials in humans.
―If our next series of studies confirms that the hu man situation mirrors what we have seen in rats, then this drug may make a major contribution to getting rid of measles by preventing local outbreaks‖ Klemperer said.
Despite the existence of an effective vaccine, annual measles deaths worldwide have remained constant at around 150,000 since 2007. I love seeing Europeans line up in airports to applaud arriving refugees. But humanitarianism (人道主义) will not guide policy for long. We liberals need to argue from Europe’s self-interest: our continent has the need, the space and the ability to accept people.
Many European countries are gradually turning into old people’s homes. Germany, Italy, Spain and others have some of the lowest birth rates in human history. It is predicted that about one-third of their populations will be aged over 65 in 2050. Germany needs to import at least 350,000 people a year to keep its workforce stable. That’s why the scientific revolution of the 16th and 17th centuries happened here.
But we have plenty more room. Many European cities aren’t dense enough. Now east Germany, north-western Spain and gorgeous mountain villages in Italy are losing people. Lots of cities have unused industrial land.
Humans inhabit a slice of the EU’s territory. Only about 2.5 per cent of the EU’s land is used for housing, estimates the European Commission. By contrast, a whopping 43 per cent was used for agriculture in 2009, it say s. That’s too much. We could turn more land into forest or into green landscapes where people can relax and play. Making that transition is feasible because we now use agricultural land inefficiently.
Migrants often spend years locked up together in serious government-funded ―migrant centers‖. However, the way to learn a new country’s language, make friends and find work is to live with a local. This crisis has shown that lots of Europeans are willing to take refugees into their homes. After Iceland’s government said it could take only 50 Syrian refugees, many Icelanders came forward offering to take a far greater number into their own homes. People
aren’t just sitting around waiting for government to do something.
We need migrants, and we can accommodate them. If opponents just don’t like foreigners, they should say so instead of pretending to be hardheaded pragmatists (实用主义者).

I’ve carefully examined happy and successful people from all different prof essions —actors, scientists, comedians, musicians, etc. They share very similar philosophies. Here are some of the fundamental attitudes and beliefs that contribute to their happiness and success: ◆①
This is one of the most commonly recited mottos in self-improvement. Individuals who see their mistakes and failures as a learning experience are much more prone to happiness and success.
When we adopt the belief that ―failure is a part of learning,‖ we become more resilient and courageous in the face of new challenges.
Instead of avoiding situations where we may embarrass ourselves, we embrace these challenges in life, even when we know they can be risky and painful. When we do fail, we don’t see it as the end of the world, but a point to improve upon.

Many people are great at finding problems and being critical about their lives; however,
they do this without ever suggesting a possible solution or alternative to their situation.
They complain about this and that, but they never take an active role to actually improve these things. They focus on problems not to learn from them or fix them, but to make excuses for why their lives are miserable and unpleasant.
I believe acknowledging problems in life is important. I don’t recommend that we ignore things in our life that disturb us or make us unhappy. However, it’s also important to think of ways we can actually respond to these problems and change our circumstances.
Ruminating over problems in our life without a plan to take action is not only a waste of time, but it makes us even more sad and depressed. If you’re going to be critical about something in your life, focus on the ways you can actually make a difference.

Happy and successful people are incredibly grateful for their lives and everything they have: their relationships, their home, their job, their possessions, their talents, their achievements, etc.
Although successful people are often thought of as always hungry and striving – always trying to improve things, achieve their goals, and make things better –this inner drive doesn’t take away from the fact they are very happy and content with their lives.
Gratitude is an irreplaceable characteristic of true happiness and success. Even if we achieve great things in life, without gratitude we often find ourselves empty and discontent. Make sure you take the time to reflect on how lucky you are as a person (I believe everyone can find something to be grateful for).

If you want to improve a particular area of your life, then find a couple of people who already excel in that area of life. Study them. Ask them questions. Have them show you their technique and share their stories.
The more willing you are to learn from others, the more successful you will be. Talking and listening to others is one of the best ways to get more perspective into what you want to improve in life — and how you can do it.

The GREATEST Journey
I had lunch last week with a high-ranking business woman for a fortune 500 company. I asked her what tips she would give to someone early in their career. Without hesitation she jumped right into four keys to her professional climb:

If you are going to be an entrepreneur then you’ll probably start with a budget of zero. Yet, if you h ave the discipline, working for yourself could be the best choice you’ve ever made.
If you are going to work for a company you have to do your homework. If you find a company that consists with your values and produces a product that you 100% believe in, then you’ll have an easy time giving that organization your all.
Be personable. If everyone hates to be around you at the office, it’s time to check your attitude. We’ve all heard at least one anecdote about a great thinker with great skills who drove cowo rkers crazy. Someway, somehow many of the brightest and best lack the ―people skills‖ to advance beyond an entry-level position.
In short, you must have the interpersonal insight to interact with internal and external contacts. If not, you may find that you are unimportant once someone with soft-skills joins the organization. Why? People have to buy you before they ever buy the product you’re selling.
Be willing to move. This is where I got puzzled. She shared how she lived in seven states still working for the same organization.
Much is made of moving in today’s attempts to climb the corporate ladder. As more and more companies extend to have a global reach, it is easy to understand why new opportunities birth in various locations.
Whatever the path, outline in your heart what destination you hope to reach and this will be a key indicator as to which journey will be greatest for you.

The first thing I did when I woke up in the morning was watch the TV news. I could see that the situation was bad, and they showed a map where the fires were burning. Outside in the garden, I couldn’t s ee the sun, as the sky was full of smoke.
I decided to leave. My son was staying in town and my husband was abroad so it was up to me to decide what to do. I packed a suitcase of clothes. I took my passport and my bankbook and all the money I had. Out in the garden the sky was
getting blacker, and the wind, which had been blowing hard for two days, was getting stronger. I could now hear the sound of the fire only a mile or two away. I got into my car and drove down the road. The smoke was thick. Animals were running across the road, trying to escape the fire. Five miles down the road I came to a long bridge over the river. Once on the other side, I knew I was safe.
中共宿迁市委宿迁市人民政府关于鼓励全民创业的若干政策意见 宿发〔2007〕1号 2007年1月18日 为培育创业文化，激发创业热情，营造创业环境，在更大范围更深层次上调动民力、集中民智、吸纳民资，深入开展全民创业活动，推动全市经济社会更好更快发展，加快全面奔小康、建设新宿迁的进程，特制定如下政策意见。 一、降低创业门槛 1. 全面拓宽准入领域。按照“非禁即许”的原则，凡是国家法律法规没有明令禁止的行业和领域，各类资本都可平等进入；凡是国家承诺对外开放的领域和国有资本退出的领域，都鼓励民间资本加快进入，全市各级政府及其部门不得自行设置限制条件。 2. 放宽注册资本和出资比例限制。新设立的两个以上股东的有限责任公司注册资本实行分期到位，可先按注册资本额的20%给予注册，首期实收资本不低于3万元。对从事科技开发、咨询、中介服务以及专为物流企业提供服务的服务业个人独资和合伙企业，注册资本不作任何限制。 3. 放宽经营场所规定。在符合城市规划、市容、安全、环保、卫生、消防等要求的前提下，创业者家庭住所、租借房、临时商业用房在保持原房产性质的前提下可视为创业经营场所。个体工商户经批准的临时商业用房、疏导点可视为有效经营场所。个体工商户进行工商登记时，租房协议及出租方的房产证复印件可作为有效合法的经营场所使用凭证。 4. 放宽证照办理限制。支持民营企业在县（区）投资设立有限公司，注册资本在500万元以上的，可在市工商部门直接注册。 创办科技型、外向型、农产品加工型民营企业，以及下岗失业人员创办的非公司制企业，非关键条件欠缺，由工商部门先予以核发营业执照，后补齐相关手续。对合法经营的农村流动性小商小贩，除国家另有规定外，免予工商登记，免收一切税费。 允许具备一定条件的个体工商户使用“商行”、“超市”、“中心”、“物资”、“物贸”、“商贸”、“贸易”等组织形式和行业特征用语，并允许冠市名名称。 简化连锁企业证照办理，除药品和医疗器械经营、卫生许可实行一店一证外，其他管理部门的证照，均由连锁企业总部统一办理，对在本地设立的分支机构无需单独申报，管理部门应当在其批复或批准文件中列明取得相应许可的各分支机构名称。各分支机构凭该批复或批准文件到工商部门办理营业执照。

以上的，纳入年度招商引资考核，其他类型按考核办法折合。 新引进注册资本1000万元以上的商业银行、担保、典当等金融机构、市政府实施的“55210”工程中的五大物流中心、十大市场开发项目和落户湖滨新城开发区的固定资产投资300万元以上的设施农业项目，固定资产投资800万元以上的农业龙头企业，一次性开工建设20000平方米以上的房地产开发项目、固定资产投资1000万元以上的卫生、科技、旅游、文化等项目以及职教园区投资3000万元以上的学校项目，视同工业项目考核，计入部门招商引资实绩。 对提供超过500个固定就业岗位的招商引资工业企业，按固定资产投资额的1.2倍纳入招商引资考核；提供就业岗位在1000个以上的，按1.5倍纳入招商引资考核。 2、鼓励在市区建设知名企业总部、研发中心、销售总部。层数超过12层的，容积率可超过5。凡自用的，可按政府零收益供地，如需转让房屋产权，可根据出让面积按比例以政府最低保护价缴纳土地出让金，并取得完全的产权证明。 3、鼓励建设标准厂房。各类社会资本建设标准厂房且一次性开工面积达到10万平方米以上的，免收市权范围内的各项建设规费。 4、鼓励建设大型市场。 对大型商业综合市场建设用地，建设期限在2年之内的，土地出让金实行先交后奖政策。建筑面积在10万平方米以上的，成交土地出让金净收益的60%奖励给投资者；建筑面积在15万平方米以上的，成交土地出让金净收益的80%奖励给投资者；建筑面积在20万平方米以上的，成交土地出让金净收益全额奖励给投资者。 在市区建10万平方米以上的市场，建成后2年内自用或出租的，可按政府零收益供地。2年后允许产权转让，并根据转让面积按比例以政府最低保护价减半补征土地出让金。 5、鼓励发展市场配套加工企业。对为大型市场配套的加工区内的加工企业，除享受市
