剑桥商务英语证书（BEC）的含金量
BEC考试近些年来变得越来越热门，能考取高级证书的，被市场奉为求职中的香饽饽。也有很多不能理解的人，认为含金量其实没有这么高，只是一种炒作。BEC作为检测商务英语能力的专业性考试，十分注重英语的活学活用能力，可以说，考取到越高级别的证书，商务英语的实战能力越强，这个证书的含金量是高于很多普通英语考试的。
但这也并不是说BEC初级、中级证书就没有准备的意义。事实上，你要根据自己的情况做选择，不是说高级的含金量高就应该挑战高级证书，BEC高级的难度要考察大量的专业词汇，复合型句型，想要顺利通过的话需要极其扎实的基础。所以，如果是基础一般的，甚至是零基础的话，理所应当从初级开始学起，再到中级这样循序渐进的过程。从另一方面来说，如果已经有了一定的基础，是可以从中级开始学习，不要好高骛远，通常能首次就准备高级考试的考生大多是英语高分获得者，也不要以为一次考不过，第二次就可以，基础不好，想要从本质上提高成绩简直是天方夜谭。
有人说，剑桥商务英语等级证书只能用于外企的求职，事实上，不只是外企，现在很多民营企业甚至政府单位都有商务英语人才的需求。随着中国的国际化程度越来越高，英语的应用范围变广，英语能力，特别是英语交流能力被重视起来，而剑桥商务英语证书
就着重考察商务英语的实际应用能力，很符合当下对人才发展的要求。总而言之，这张证书的含金量，优于大学英语四六级，并且获得市场上大多数承认的。
