口语部分 Task 1
A particularly influential change within my country has been the rising growth of computer technologies over the past 20 years. 20 years ago, both the visual and perceptual form of my country was severely limited in its capacity for growth. So, at that time, the ways people knew the world are TV and radio. However, 21century witnesses an increasing number of computers and, thus, the forms of entertainment are various. Professors use computer to know his field well; students use computer to broaden his horizon of knowledge, etc. Therefore, computer must be the big change in our country anyway. Task 2
When studying abroad, I prefer to live alone or live with my friends. Objectively, both methods provide students with several positive and negative consequences regarding their study abroad experiences, yet in my own personal opinion, the ability to live alone or with close friends provide students the ability to explore new cultures based on their own terms. While living alone may sometimes cause an individual student to feel separated and cut off from their new environment, it also provides the motivation and ‘push’ needed to force the student to step out of their comfort zone and experience

new things. Likewise, while living with friends the students may prevent them from becoming too lonely or sheltered; this type of adventurous style will yield several more promising experiences and life-lessons for the students. The thought of moving to a foreign country without much knowledge of your surroundings can be scary, but at the same time, the motivation to do so is very character building. Living on your own allows for an individual to test the knowledge they have learned in life and apply it to a new and different situation. Success in doing so will allow the student to handle themselves in a more mature and better way whenever new difficult and challenge events come to pass, and additionally can be seen as a right-of-passage. While at some point the students may face several adversities during their study abroad, these types of events and experiences are those which the student will eventually have to face later in life. The study abroad can prepare the student for these types of future events. Living with a local family does pose several benefits, such as the ease of access to the foreign countries culture, a supported network, and security; yet, this type of living arrangement can severely limit the students capability of venturing on his/her own and interacting with the culture In their own personal way. Overall, while both living on one’s own or living with a local family can provide students a method to explore foreign cultures during their study abroad, I personally find that students living on their own end up with much richer and rewarding experiences rather than their counter-parts living with the local family communities. when they make the decision to embark on their journey. should go the extra step while they are there. Task 3 The girl disagrees with school’s new announcement to remove the vending machine from the hallway next to classrooms. She thinks removing the machine is unnecessary because, one, the junk food the machine sells can be replaced by something healthier, such as nuts, orange juice. This would encourage students to eat healthier. Two, it’s more convenient for students to buy stuff. Well, if the vending machine is moved away, students will have to find a grocery store in the vicinity when they want to grab something to eat during the ten-minute break. And when students stay up late in the library and get hungry, they might as well go to nearest grocery store, which is out of Either way, the most important aspect is that the students are making a leap towards the unknown I simply argue that they

the campus, to buy some snacks. Unfortunately, it is impossible for them to make it, because the store closes at 10PM. Task 4 The passage explains the word “magnification” that people tend to focus too much on negative side of things, and also suggests it will exert influence on their decision making and whether they can be successful in the future. The professor supported this principle with his son’s acting experience: His son wanted to be an actor. He took part in and was the big role in the acting show when he was freshman. The professor supported his son by attending the show with his wife. The show was successful, and his son’s performance was awesome, impressive and convincing. After the show when the parents congratulated the son, the son surprised them by saying he’s too lame, he even forgot one line on the stage. The parents consoled him by saying the audience didn’t know about that. However, the son beat himself up by saying his performance was too awful and he was not made for an actor. Next year, another show came with another good opportunity, he didn’t take it. Just like that, he quit his dream of being an actor. Task 5 The girl’s main problem is that she was supposed to study for her Biology test the next day, and it is a big deal. But she hasn’t got around to preparing it. The worst part is her busy doctor dad was planning to have dinner and go to theater with her. In that case, she had no time for the final struggle. I think it will be better if she takes the second solution that she came up with: She should only have the dinner with her father instead of going to the theater, and come back for preparation. The drawback of this solution is that she can’t spend much time with her father and still hasn’t enough time to review, which will lead to her staying up late and may affect how good she can be in the test. Although it is doable for the girl to cancel the test, her father wishes her to make him proud in the test, which is kind of Sophie’s choice. Task 6 The lecture is mainly about the sinking tendency of the fishes. There are two physical features that help them to stay not sinking. One is the fin. For example, sharks have fins, which look like airfoils. When a shark swims, it pushes the water below its fins constantly, so the shark can float. Two is the swim bladder. For example, there is a pair of swim bladders in a pike. Whenever the fish inhales, there is some oxygen

absorbed in the swim bladder and this increases its buoyancy. In that case, pike can “decide” which level it should be at will. 写作部分 综合写作 The reading passage and listening material are about whether it is workable to launch SO2 sulfur dioxide to prevent the globe from global warming. The reading material points out three major drawbacks, which are overthrown respectively by the professor in the lecture. First, the reading passage claims that launching the sulfur dioxide will produce more ozone in the atmosphere that will lead to the combination of sulfur acid and water vapor, which should be responsible for the damage of acid rain. However, the professor defies the idea by saying that only when sulfur acid spreads in the lower atmosphere and combine with water vapor of large amount, can they produce acid rain. In other words, there will be no acid rain if sulfur dioxide is launched and spread above the cloud layer, which gives no chance for sulfur dioxide to combine with water vapor. Second, the reading material believes that launching the sulfur dioxide will cost 1 billion dollars per launch, which is fairly expensive, and several times will be needed per year. Nonetheless, the professor from the listening material holds the opposite opinion. He says that although launching the sulfur dioxide may cost a fortune, it is cheaper compared to other methods of preventing the global warming, say, reduce fuel emission, whose cost is 100 times higher than that(或 the cost) of the former. Third, the reading material argues that the effect of the sulfur dioxide launching is negligible. For instance, the volcanic outbreaks in 1982 produced approximately20mtons’ sulfur dioxide spreading in the atmosphere and only chill the earth down by0.5 ℃. Therefore, listening material holds that the effect of launching the sulfur dioxide can only bring small changes to the global temperature by0.5℃, but it has far-reaching effect, for it can avoid catastrophes, such as flood. For example, the volcanic eruptions in 1982 partially melted the glaciers of the poles with their temperature, which raised the sea levels and caused the floods.

Speaking of which is better for us to lead a life in a city or (in a) rural area in order to provide our families with a decent life of dignity and somehow take better care of them. Under no circumstances, will I defy the truth that the answer varies from person to person. Presumably, people of larger proportion would believe that the former is preferable, and few people would like living their life in remote areas. As a humble existence, I would rather enjoy my life with my families in big cities than get by in small villages. Has it ever happened to you? One of your family members suddenly fell ill and you could do nothing but pray trembling? Yes, there is no hospital or clinic in some rural areas, even there is, the condition is disturbing. As a survey in the latest Health Weekly goes: 74.6% of villages possess the medical service and facilities, and only 66.3% of villagers enjoy the health coverage. In other words, to, approximately, half of the people living in the rural areas, health condition or even lifespan depends only on how lucky they can be. Can your families be taken better care of in those areas with poor medical condition? In that situation, do you still support the argument that “substance is nothing” and “money will come and go”? Apart from medical and other facilities, which can help us, physic-and-material-wise, take care of our families, our offspring should be, education-wise, better taken care of. School children in small areas normally don’t have access to High-tech inventions or even qualified teachers. Due to harsh condition, they might as well do with what they can get and their plans on their dreams are always predictably and desperately compromised. According to statistics, 90% of dropouts come from rural areas, and 87.6% of them claim that there is no bright future waiting for them. If you are a parent, will you let your children “dance with the wolves” in the countryside? Be that as it may, there is still goodness in remote rural areas. The air might be fresher; the sky could be bluer; the food may be safer, just to name a few. Nevertheless, talking about taking better care of the old with “acceptable” medical service and providing the next generation with better education, undoubtedly, I am so convinced that living in a city, especially a big one, is much more rational and advisable.

口语范文 Task 1
I think I would support my friend, because there are two reasons First, his choice would be right, if he were a person who has a plan. Just like Bill Gates, for example, he dropped out of Harvard University when he was young, at that time, no one though his choice was right. However, now, he owns his world famous company Microsoft, and he gets what he wants to. May be if I were Gates, I would choose the way he did. Second, dropping out of university may benefit to my friend who dose not like study, because my friend could have more opportunities to work and to get more work experiences from society. It is not too bad right? So I support my friend. Task 2
I disagree with the statement mentioned by the question, because there is no causal relationship between success and university in my opinion. Im gonna tell u why. Lets take an example of Bill Gates, he studied in Harvard, but finally he dropped out of school. However, now, we know that he is not a loser; I mean he is not an underdog, right? Because he runs a very famous company, Microsoft, and

get too much profit by his efforts. What’s more, almost everyone use Microsoft everyday. Actually, u know, on the top of him, there r too many successful people who didn’t study in university around me, but they reached their goals of life and career, so they are successful people, aren’t they? Thus, I could not tolerant of the statement given by topic. Task 3 In the reading, we know that university plans to add photos of students to the college directory that has all the contact information of students and put the directory on the internet. However, in the conversation, the female holds positive points of view. And she gives two reasons for it. First, some students may have the same name, so photos help students to find right person. Second, some students cannot find the directory, so it is easy for students to find this information, if there are electronic versions of the directory available online. Task 4 In this set of materials, the reading passage introduces a definition about emotion display rule, which means the expression of emotion depends on the society in which we are live in. In the lecture, the professor cites one example about 4-year old daughter. That is, she had a birthday party last year. Prior to the party, parents told her that she should hid the negative emotion when she didn’t like the gift received. And then her grandmother gave cute clothes as gifts, but the girl didn’t like it and felt disappointed. Before her negative emotion became too obvious, her mom said the clothes were a very cute. The girl suddenly realized that she should say thank you to grandmother and give her grandmother a hug. Finally, she did that. Task 5

The woman’s problem is that she cannot register for Dr. Jonson’s Asia history class because the register office has closed the class. In order to solve this problem, the man provided two solutions. First, she could take the class in summer with the same professor, but a 3 week’s class would be more intensive. Plus, she cannot get home to visit her parents early in the summer. Second, she could take the class this semester with another new professor. However, she is not sure whether the professor is good or not. Task 6 In the lecture, the professor introduces ideas that archeologists use different ways to decide the places where they should dig for findings. First, surface features of the land are mentioned. For example, New Zealand, it has a typical structure, giant stone. Giant stone steps for a house on the top of hill. Second, plants are involved. Certain plants grow in certain places. For example, breadnut tree were planted in Central American. These trees continue reproduction, so archeologists find the place which has banana nuts tree to dig. 写作范文 综合写作 The reading and listening passages have a distinct idea about narwhal, a species of whale. The reading material points out three functions, which are undermined by the lecture In the first place, the reading passage claims that tusk was used to pierce through the ice sheet, so narwhal can breathe. However, the listening material argues that the idea, which is mentioned above in the reading passage, is not right. It should be that tusk would bend under pressure, and it was too flexible to break the ice, so ice sheets broke by themselves.

In the second place, the reading material believes that tusk was used as weapon, attacking other whales. Nonetheless, the listening material holds the opposite opinion. It says that tusk was a unique for them to communicate with other narwhals. And people closed observations found that narwhals used their tusk to gently rub other narwhals as a way of communications. Finally, the reading material argues that the fossils found by people indicate that tusk was used to sense the ocean properties such as pressure, and temperature. Nevertheless, the listening material holds a different view that all of male narwhal had tusks, but only a few of females had tusks and lived longer than males In a nut shell, ideas of listening passage contradict the facts mentioned by reading passage. 独立写作
When facing to a controversial problem that people like using e-mail or text messaging OR use telephone or voice-messaging to discuss upsetting or controversial problems with others, people in diverse place hold different points of view. Most people argue that they like using e-mail or text messaging to discuss. However, others hold that they would like using telephone or voice-messaging. As far as I am concerned, I think later is better and put two reasons as following. In the first place, telephone or voice messaging is quicker and more convenient than e-mail or text message, so it is more convenient to modern people. For example, last time, I discussed a small controversial problem about math with my friends. At the beginning, we texted message to each other, and then we found that the small controversial problem had take our time more than 1 hour. Therefore, we chose telephone to discuss, instead of using text message. Finally, we only used 10 minutes to end the controversial problem. At that time, we realized that using text message was a time-consuming way to discuss. Therefore, in this case, it is as clear as a crystal that telephone or voice messaging is quicker way to discuss.

梦坊国际教育—实现梦想的舞台
In the second place, telephone or voice messaging is ‘cheaper’ than e-mail or text-messaging, because people could save much more time to earn much more money. For example, a business man spends 1 hour to discuss a controversial problem, so it means that he loses 1 hour to make money, because time is money to him. On the contrary, he spends money on telephone, but actually he get much more time to make much more money, so it is no doubt that telephone helps him to get money. Therefore, it is not so exaggeration to say that telephone, to some extent, is cheaper than e-mail or text-messaging. In a nutshell, it is not difficult to judge that using telephone or voice-messaging is better than using e-mail or text messaging, because it could be quicker, and save much more time.

口语部分 Task 1
I think that raising pets is great. Having a pet, such as a dog or a cat, has numerous benefits toward both the owner and the household where they reside. For example, young children who have a pet will learn the importance of responsibility and how to take care of something else. Children with pets must learn how to care and protect their pets, which is a trait which can easily be transferred over to other facets of life, such as caring for a friend, family member, or children. Furthermore, adult owners of pets have the additional joy of their pets to bring happiness to their lives. While having a pet means that the owner must assume more responsibilities, such as cleaning up, bathing, walking, feeding, and protecting their pets, this is often something most owners are willing to do with a smile. Overall, having a pet is a great way to bring happiness and additional love into a home, while providing a small animal the chance to live a happy and caring life. Task 2
I believe it is best for students to choose a career path after taking some university courses in college. Around the time when students are making the decision to attend university, they are about the age when they need to start figuring out more about themselves and what they desire in life. Knowledge of the perfect career path at the students’ age is most likely very limited, and often not well thought out. While a student may have a general idea toward what career they would be most likely

interested in, only after experiences a few courses can the student really know if that career path is truly appropriate to them. For example, a student wishes to pursue education studying anthropology. While the concept of anthropology may be very interesting for the student and possibly even very desirable in terms of a career, only after taking a few courses will the student be able to realize whether this is what they would want to do in terms of a long career. Often, studies show that students in University frequently change their majors, which seem to suggest that their first choice was not what they had originally expected. Additionally, many students end up working career positions that are completely different than what they majored in during University, which seems to suggest that there is a major difference between expectation and reality. Those students who do choose their career before getting into college may have more time to think about their career path, participated in exchange programs, or have had prior exposure to the particular field of interest. However, to set up a long-term career plan at such an early age is unrealistic and most likely will not be the same as their post-graduation jobs. Overall, while it may be ideal for students to start considering what career paths they would like to embark on during their University studies, a firm decision should be made only after taking a few courses to determine if it is appropriate toward the students’ expectation. Taking a few courses is also a great way to open the student up to new possibilities that were never previously considered, and quite possibly provide the student with new options toward their career planning. Task 3 The student agrees with school’s new requirement to build a campus hotel near the dorm. And she has two reasons for this opinion. First, she thinks that it’s much more convenient for her friends and families to visit her. It is nearer than any other hotel in the town. For example, when her mother came to see her, it took her mother much more time to go to the nearest hotel on the other side of the town. Second, campus hotel is cheap. It is affordable to most of parents and can save a lot of money. Last year, her roommate’s parents were supposed to see her, but after knowing the nearing hotel was so expensive that reaches 90$ per night, they canceled their visit. Task 4 The essay suggests that people tend to accept the changes when they develop in a gradual way, even when they are not favorable. The professor supported this idea by

taking him as an example: when he was a student, he took a part-time job as history professor’s assistant. His job was to help the professor arrange research books and articles in a library. He only spent 2 hours in the first week, but he spent one more hour every other week to find more books, till the final test of the semester he even spent more than 10 hours per week. Although he got paid for the additional hours, he could hardly have time preparing for assignments and finals. The truth is he didn’t like that job. If he had known that the working hour is that long, he would not have accepted the offer. But the working hour increased gradually, he unknowingly got used to the working hour and let it occupy his study hour. Task 5 The man’s main problem is that his volunteer work clashes with his part-time job in library. He has two options: one is to take kids to museum in the morning and go to the library in the afternoon. A girl came up with another option: stay with kids all day and ask his co-worker to find someone else to replace him in the library. I think it will be better if he takes the girl’s advice, for if he takes kids to museum in the morning and go to work in the afternoon, the kids will miss the speaker’s speech about dinosaur, and kids will be disappointed. Task 6 The main topic of the lecture is how insects breathe underwater. There are two ways for insects to breathe underwater. One way is to breathe the air above water. For example, water scorpion has a tail like a tube to breathe the air while half of its body is in the water preying. The other way is to breathe the water from carry-on air, for diving beetle can carry air within its outer wings and keep the air in water by turning it into air bubbles, and then breathe directly from them. 写作部分 综合写作 The reading and listening passages have a distinct idea that how to save pine from being attacked by mountain pine beetles in northeast America. The reading material points out three major rationales, which are undermined by the lecture. In the first place, the reading passage claims that the pine tree forests can be protected by cold weather, for it can wipe out most of the larva of the pine beetles.

As the economy and technology develop at an incredible speed in today’s society, there are an increasing number of people believing that the most important problems affecting our society today could be solved within our lifetime. In my view, however, this is out of the question and the three most significant problems affecting the society, namely war, environmental destruction and disease, will still influence us and may not be entirely resolved forever. War is a problem afflicting humans since they took into being in the first place. Wars take place when different countries have conflicting benefits, which is unlikely to be eliminated as long as the boundaries between countries still exist. For instance, in the Middle East where water is extremely scarce, many countries are in conflict in contention for water resources. Since every country acts for the sake of its own benefit, it seems that people in the region are incapable of living together in harmony. Eternal world peace, therefore, is unlikely to be achieved in our lifetime. Environmental destruction emerged not long before but it is becoming increasingly severe and can not be ignored. With the large-scale utilization of fossil fuels and rapid development of industry, huge amounts of pollutants are being produced, contaminating the environment to a large degree. The disposal of these pollutants being a tough task, it is hardly possible that we can completely get rid of them within a short period of time. Furthermore, even if we can come up with optimal methods for dealing with these substances, there remains the problem that these methods may cost too much and obstruct the development of economy. Last but not least, the well-being of people around the world is threatened by a variety of diseases, ranging from AIDS to cancer, the cures for which have not been discovered yet. Diseases set off panics among humans, affect their normal life and leave people badly off with the high medical expenses. There are thousands of scientists devoting themselves to finding cure for diseases, but new types of diseases keep emerging and there is no eliminating all of them. In summary, the problems with the most significance today are going to be passed on to our offspring. To eliminate these problems thoroughly, there is still a long way to go.
