HICOM 300 E V3.0●

HICOM 300 E V3.1●

HICOM 300 H V1.0●HiPath 4000 V1.0

AC-Win MQ 3.0 supports the following communication platforms:

HICOM 300 E V3.1●

HICOM 300 H V1.0 (UK only)●HiPath 4000 V1.0

AC-Win XP’s telephone book application DS-Win 3.0 is not included in the AC-Win program package and must therefore be ordered separately.

NOTE: Up-to-date information on the currently released correction version from AC-Win XP can also be found in the readme.txt

AC-Win XP,Service Manual New Functionality in AC-Win XP 1.1New Functionality in AC-Win XP

All existing AC-Win variants are so-called "stimulus terminals" of Hicom 300E/HiPath 4000 switching technology. All switching features are provided by the switching platform on which AC-Win is operating and not by AC-Win 4.0 itself.

In addition, AC-Win also offers some "local" features:

A call journal, ●

A redial list, ●

A TAPI dialing function, ●An OLE interface and lots more

There is no description of features in AC-Win XP with AC-Win 5.0 and AC-Win MQ 3.0 as opposed to the existing Windows 2000-based AC4 variants AC-Win 4.0 and AC-Win MQ 2.0.

Only the color settings are adjusted in the Windows XP operating system. The driver generated for Windows 2000 can also be used for the AC-Win PCI plug-in card under Windows XP .

V32905-A11-X190–V32905-A11-X191These keyboard templates are currently only available in English .

Note : Not all current keyboard types have room for these templates. It is therefore recommended to use the KBPC M1multimedia keyboard provided for AC-Win (see https://www.doczj.com/doc/9114313208.html, under Top SAG -> Sales Packages for ICN -> AC-Win).

1.4.4Handset and Handset Cradle (headset)

There are two handsets (telephone receivers) with accompanying cradles in use for AC Win:

1.4.4.1

Headset with SET 400 telephone handset (old)Most existing AC-Win configurations (AC-Win 1.0, AC-Win 2.0, AC-Win 3.0) have the older headset consisting of –

SET400 handset C39363-A7007-B10–

Cradle for SET400 handset C39363-A7007-A4–Connection cable for SET 400 cradle S30267-Z197-A26-*

OptiSet handset (without Siemens Logo)S30122-X7310-X100 (Telekom variant)–

Cradle for OptiSet handset C39363-A7007-A5–Connection cable for OptiSet cradle S30267-Z369-A26-*

IMPORTANT : To operate the OptiSet handset on AC-Win, the pins for the microphone (pins 1 and 4) on the con-nection cable to the handset cradle had to be interchanged.

Therefore, a SET 400 handset cannot be operated on a cradle for the OptiSet handset and vice versa (see also Serviceinfo INF-03-000119).

1.4.5AC Voice Cables

As in the previous version, the automatic voice announcement application AC-Voice 3.0 can be used for AC-Win 5.0.

Note: AC-Voice 3.0 does not work on AC-Win MQ 3.0. At present, there is no voice announcement application for AC-Win (MQ) 3.0.

A special AC-Voice cable is required for operating AC-Voice 3.0 on AC-Win 5.0. This cable connects the analog voice input (LINE IN) of the AC-Win 4.0 card with the loudspeaker output of the sound card on the PC. In this way, the voice file (*.wav) played by AC-Voice 3.0 can be directly fed via the sound card into the headset channel of the AC-Win card.

At present, there are two types of AC-Voice cables in use:

1.4.5.1"Older" AC-Voice Cable Kit

The original (2 meter long) AC-Voice cable kit S30122-H5308-X consisted of

–S30267-Z312-A2cable with stereo jack and DIN plug

–S30267-Z318-A20cable with DIN coupler and Western plug

This cable was replaced by a new one (in 2002):

1.4.5.2"New" AC-Voice Cable

The new (50 cm) AC-Voice cable S30267-Z364-A5 no longer has a DIN plug/coupler. Instead it has a stereo jack (sound card) connected to a 4-pin Western plug via a 50 cm cable (LINE IN on the AC card) and also (branch) to a stereo coupler via a second 15 cm cable (for connecting active loudspeakers).

3.Connect the handset to the AC card (HA slot)

4.Install the Windows XP driver.

–NOTE: Please install the driver precisely as described below. Other methods do not work.

–Once the AC-Win card has been installed, the following message appears on initial start-up of the PC: "New Hardware found (Multimedia controller)". The Hardware Wizard starts searching for new

hardware.

–Cancel this search with "Cancel".

–Using Windows Explorer, for example, start the program "InstallACCard.exe" which is located on the AC-Win XP installation CD ROM (see directory "...\AC card Driver\install").

–The message "Installing Driver" appears.

–Once this message box closes, the driver is correctly installed.

5.Reboot the PC.

–Check whether the orange LED on the back of the UP0/E card is flashing. This indicates that the UP0/E card is operational.

–The red LED should never be illuminated during operation. If it is illuminated, there is a problem with the hardware or firmware. The UP0/E card can however continue to work. The problem

should be investigated.

The PC does not require any further configurations or hardware settings.

For information on installing the AC-Win XP application software, see Section 4.

NOTE: Please observe any notes in the "Readme.txt" file, which is located on the AC-Win installation CD ROM ( ...\Program Files\ACWinxxx ).
