回旋速调管放大器及其发展评述

回旋连调管期的研究中,PaIk等人㈣和Tanta州等人岍J分别在4.5Gllz和10Gllz频率时三腔回旋速凋管的术前腔调谐和渐变磁场对效率的影响进行过实验工作.幽8yI)kiIj等人…对三腔阿旋速调管末前腔的位计和调谐对放人器的效率和增益的影响从理论和实验两方面进行了研究。海军研究实验室(NRI.)在这方面也做了一系列的研究工作.如Ka波段的三腔回旋速i1嗣管获得r【)82%的棒宽【55],比在两腔时高一倍((J36%)酬.而效,缸只下降一点(南37%变为303%);W波段的四盹回旋速凋管获得r()6%的带宽和G0kw功率输}{{,效率为25%㈣J.Bl∽k等人在对w波段叫腔回旋速调管的设计中,通过数值模拟获得了802kW的峰值功率,2()6%的效率和0.70%的带宽mj.

毫米波雷达要求噪声越小越好,A】lLo儿sen等人在文献『681中对回旋速调管的相位噪声、幅度噪声和热噪声也进行了研究.

3.3用于加速器驱动的回旋速调管放大器

下一代高能物理加速器和认识基本粒子的下‘个前沿是基千超级对撞机.对二r常规的直线对撞机,其质心能量大于】TeV,因而需要频率在1735GHz、峰值功率300Mw、脉宽0.2』zs和重复频率1km的射频驱动源m…。这种源必须是相位相干的,所以它可以是放人器或锁相振荡器.回旋速调管放大器作为一种高功率、高效率的相干毫米波源,与传统管型相比其性能困了尸,2要高两个数量级.采用回旋速凋管作为射频驱动源可以大大缩小建设规模和资金投入,幽此它是下一代太电予伏超高能直线对撞机驱动源的有力竞争者。目前,这方面的应片j已成为另一个促进回旋速调管迅速发展的因数.美国马里兰太学10多年来1直着手这方面的研究工作,具体情况简要列在表2中.
