With the college entrance exam approaching, time is becoming more precious for the Senior Three students. Therefore, many of them are trying to study from early morning till late night, even during the ten-minute break, which easily contribute to tiredness and low efficiency.
In my opinion, it’s necessary to take a ten-minute break between classes. During the ten-minute break, we’d better do something relaxing to get rid of tiredness. What we need to do is to relax ourselves instead of getting more tired. My ten-minute break is wonderful. Sometimes I do some simple exercise or take a walk around the campus. In our modern society, competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Therefore, many students are forced to work much harder with great pressure without having a good rest, which contributes to tiredness and low efficiency.
Take one of my experiences for example. Once I didn’t do well in my study. In order to keep up with my classmates, I often studied deep into the night. However, I was sleepy in class and still didn’t make progress. Seeing this, my head teacher had a talk with me. He suggested that I shouldn’t stay up but ensure enough rest, listen carefully and pay attention to improving my study method. He encouraged me to ask my teachers for help whenever I had any problems. With the head teacher’s help, I studied efficiently and made great progress.
Just as a famous saying goes, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. In my opinion, no one can concentrate on his study without a good rest. What really counts is that we should learn to combine study with rest. Only if we combine study and rest effectively can we study more efficiently.
