语法梳理

含情态动词的被动语态和现在完成时的被动语态

观察下列句子的黑体部分,并掌握结论部分的内容。

【观察】

1. The machines can be bought in Germany.

2. Each picture should be made a little different from the one before it.

3. This book can not be taken home.

4. —Must sound effects be added separately?

—Yes, they must.

5. —Should the box be put in the dining room?

—No, it should not / shouldn’t.

【结论】

1. 含有情态动词的被动语态的构成:“情态动词+ be +动词过去分词”,如例句1、2;其否定形式为“情态动词+ not + be +动词过去分词”,如例句3。

2. 含有情态动词的被动语态的陈述句变成一般疑问句时,将情态动词置于句首,其后是“主语+ be +动词过去分词+其他成分”。对该疑问句作出肯定回答时,其结构为“Yes,主语+情态动词.”如例句4;作否定回答时,其结构为“No, 主语+情态动词+ not.”如例句5。

3. 现在完成时的被动语态的构成:“have / has + been +动词过去分词”,如例句6。

短语pick up意为“拿起;捡起”,当其接代词作宾语时,代词必须放在其中间;而接名词作宾语时,名词可以放在其后面也可以放在其中间。例如:The wind blew the clothes to the ground. Let’s pick them up. 风把衣服刮到地上了。我们把它们捡起来吧。

He picked up his cap and went away.他捡起帽子,走开了。

if引导的条件状语从句中,讲述将来可能发生的事件,谓语动词的时态要用“主将从现”。因为该句中“it would ... trouble”为宾语从句,主句“They thought”为一般过去时,宾语从句须用相应的某种过去时态,所以这里要用would。例如:If you are late, I will go to the cinema by myself. 如果你迟到了,我就自己去看电影。

A (large) number of students eat in the dining hall and a small number of students eat at home at noon. 中午,很多学生在食堂吃饭,少数学生回家吃饭。

【拓展】the number of意为“……的数量(数目、人数)”,也常修饰复数名词,但修饰主语时,谓语动词用第三人称单数形式。The number of the apples in this basket is 40.这个篮子里苹果的数量是40.
