2019年6月高考英语全国II卷听力特点：场景真实、语言地道、设题稳中求变。口语化特征明显，突出实用性。选材围绕人与自我、人与社会、人与自然三大主题语境，渗透着人文情怀与精神领域，。Kris与Tushka美式发音，语速略慢。与2019年全国I卷相比，略微简单；与2018年全国II卷相比，难度基本持平。
材料总字数约831字。多数是考生熟悉的话题，旨在考查考生日常交际中的听力水平。对话中出现三段关于工作与职业对话（Text 4、8、9）。Text 4是推迟约定见面的时间，Text 8围绕Mr White通过Mr Stone的秘书约见Mr Stone而展开，Text 9围绕男士向女士发出工作邀请而开展。Text 10介绍John Audubon的故事，从小热爱画画，18岁移居美国做了一名商人，但他更热爱探索自然，喜欢观察鸟类，并通过不懈努力因画鸟而出名的故事。
