什么是谓语动词和非谓语动词的区别主动关系和被动关系

在英语中,一个主谓结构(简单句)中只能有一个谓语动词,再出现动词时,要变成非谓语形式,即:在前面加to构成动词不定式,或在后面加-ing构成动名词或现在分词,或在后面加-ed构成过去分词。也就是说,非谓语是指动词在句子不作谓语时所使用的形式,即:动词不定式、动名词、现在分词和过去分词。

一些同学分别选A和B。他们说,食物是被品尝、被闻的,和食物构成被动关系,所以要用过去分词。

这种说法是错误的。

非谓语中的主动关系和被动关系,不是从谁做了这个动作着眼,而是从恢复成一句话后是“主动语态”还是“被动语态”着眼。

主动关系:从逻辑关系上看,相当于主动语态。

The boy crying over there is Tom. (在那边哭的那个男孩) 从逻辑上讲,the boy…cry, 男孩哭,相当于主动语态,是主动关系。

被动关系:从逻辑关系上看,相当于被动语态。

The house built last year is the strongest. (去年建的那座房子) 从逻辑上讲,the house was built,房子被建,相当于被动语态,是被动关系。

在上两题中,逻辑关系可以表达为:This kind of food tasted wonderful. The food smells delicious. 逻辑上food和

taste、smell是一种主谓关系,是主动语态,因此填现在分词。

因此,上两题的答案为C和C。

考点2.非谓语的基本语法特征

英语中非谓语动词包括:动名词、现在分词、过去分词和动词不定式。无论它们在句中作什么成分,他们都保持着自己本身的属性特点。

动名词:具有名词功能,常在句中作主语、宾语;作定语时表功能;

现在分词:表主动和正在进行, 常在句中作定语、状语、宾补;

过去分词:被动和已完成,常在句中作定语、状语、补语;

动词不定式:表将来具体某一次,常在句中作主语、定语、状语、补语、宾语等。

要学好非谓语,掌握它们的基本语法特征很关键。

的事”时,后面通常跟动名词作宾语,因此,把saw

改为seeing。

10.saw是谓语,“走进那座建筑”是作saw的宾语补足语;

看到某人做了某事,常用see somebody do something,

因此,把walked改为walk。

动名词主动表被动的三种类型

在某些特殊结构中,动名词可以用主动形式表示被动意义,这主要见于以下几种情况: 一、“需要”型 在need, want, require几个表示“需要”的动词后,英语习惯上用动名词的主动形式表示被动意义。如: He needs encouraging. 他需要鼓励。 Your hair wants cutting. 你需要理发了。 The front gate requires mending. 前门需要修理。 从意义上看,以上三句的动名词均含有被动意味,但用的都是主动形式。不过,如果改用不定式,则要用被动式,如上面也可说成: He needs to be encouraged. 他需要鼓励。 Your hair wants to be cut. 你需要理发了。 The front gate requires to be mended. 前门需要修理。 二、“值得”型 这类词比较典型的有三个,它们是(be) worth, deserve, merit——它们后面跟的动名词习惯上要用主动式表示被动意义,不能直接使用被动式。如: The film is worth seeing twice. 这个片子值得看两遍。 None of it is worth keeping. 这东西一点儿也不值得保存。 They merit praising. 他们值得表扬 说明:从搭配上看,be worth 和merit 后只能跟动名词,不能跟不定式;而deserve 后则通常是接不定式的。如: They deserved to be congratulated. 他们值得祝贺。 She deserved to win because she was the best. 她有资格获胜,因为她是最优秀的。 只有当它后面所接动词具有被动意义时才可用动名词,且要用主动形式表示被动意义;此时若改成不定式,则要用被动形式。如: 我认为他的文章不值一读。 I don’t think his article deserves reading. =I don’t think his article deserves to be read.
